• Ban plastic bags in St. Petersburg, FL
I would like to ban plastic bags in St. Petersburg. 47 municipalities in California, including Mexico City and Toronto ban them. Citizens of China, Mexico, India and countries throughout Europe and Africa shop without single use bags.

  • STOP KILLING OUR DEER.
The deer were around my house, I saw some give birth. They were no trouble. They made me so very happy. Now they are all gone. And this is because hunters, cowards of the worst kind, enjoy shooting them with guns or bows and arrows. How sadistic can they get?

  • PRC & A.G. King: Don't Ax the Public Utilities' Target Requirements For Renewable Energy
New Mexico requires Public Utilities to ramp up their use of renewable energy over time. The Public Regulation Commission (PRC) established that by 2020, companies like PNM will have to get 20 percent of their overall power from renewables. Attorney General King and the coalition, New Mexico Industrial Energy Consumers (The City of Albuquerque, TheUniversity of NM, Honeywell and Intel), filed formal requests asking the PRC to ax the diversity requirements altogether. Two PRC Commissioners, Pat Lyons and Ben Hall, also want to cut the requirements.

  • Ban Fracking in Boulder Colorado
Together, we oppose hydrofracking in Boulder County, Colorado. High-volume horizontal hydraulic fracturing or "fracking" uses 4-9 million gallons of fresh water per well. Water that is treated with known carcinogens, such as formaldehyde, methanol, and radioactive chemicals. This poisoned water can leach into and contaminate our groundwater and pollutes our air. Fracking damages the environment, contributes to Climate Change, and poses health and safety risks to families and community members of all ages. These are not risks that can be prevented by regulation. The only safe and sustainable response is to ban hydraulic fracking completely in our community. I make this petition to prevent the poisoning of Boulder County, Colorado’s water, air, and land on which our life, health, and economic prosperity all depend–for current and future generations. I petition Boulder County Commissioners to ban hydrofracking in Boulder County, Colorado.

  • West Hayden Island: PERMANENTLY Preserve ALL as Wildlife Sanctuary
West Hayden Island is a small remaining fragment of lower Columbia River habitat which functions as a refuge for bald eagles, deer, and other native species which used to thrive here. Proposals to develop any part of it for other than natural wildlife refuge should be unthinkable for multiple reasons, but firstly due to air and water quality impact. None of the benefits promised by development of West Hayden Island are worth either the loss of this remaining jewel or the associated off-site environmental degradation.

  • Campbell CA: STOP water fluoridation
The Santa Clara Valley Water Distict Board has voted to fluoridate our water. This is about freedom of choice. The FDA classifies fluoride as a drug and you need a prescription to take it (except topically like toothpaste, but even that you spit out). So why would you want it in our water when it adversely affects many others like hypo-thyroidism, kidney disease, osteoporosis, children's IQ, and dental fluorosis? Campbell voted against fluoridation 40 years ago and prevented SJ water from putting toxic waste into the water for everyone. Please help to do this again?

  • Water bottle ban
my petition is about banning water bottles that take so much energy from our oil and our fossil fuels. my ban would help lower prices on gasoline and other petroleum by products. this has personally effected me by having budget cuts to my moms spending since her car take over 100$ to fill up her SUV. water bottles also pollute our earth and recycling dosent even happen only 10% of all water bottles are recycled most of all of the water bottles go to a mountain in india as you can clearly see that water bottles are a big waste.

  • Tax Fairness For Renewable Energy
In this country the Fossil Fuel industry has a monopoly and is heavily subsidized by the tax payer. This petition is not against Big Oil. This petition calls for the same dollar amount of Tax Subsidies, Credits and Tax Breaks to be given to the RENEWABLE ENERGY SECTOR as Big Oil gets (4-6 Billion dollars per year for the last 30 years) OR END SUBSIDIES FOR THE FOSSIL FUEL INDUSTRY ENTIRELY SO THE RENEWABLE ENERGY SECTOR CAN COMPETE ON A LEVEL CAPITALISTIC PLAYING FIELD. We are tired of the Republicans saying the Democrats are trying to pick winners on renewable energy, when Ronald Reagan and the Hypocritical Republicans picked BIG OIL as the winner 30 years ago. Reagan and his Saudi Arabian Thugs Big Oil drove our country into this Expensive Middle Eastern Oil National Security Nightmare

The development of the Keeny's Orchard on the South side of Durham-Dayton Highway and immediately East of the unincorporated community of Durham at 2243 Durham-Dayton Highway. • Request for IRP Public Hearing in Asheville
The Integrative Resource Plans filed by utilities across North Carolina, continues increased production of dirty coal, dangerous gas and risky nuclear power. The 20 year plans DO NOT expand solar, wind, energy efficiency and energy conservation. We need a clean energy future and must have accessible public hearings in the western part of our state to voice our demands.

  • Ban Fracking on the Rocky Mountain Front
The Rocky Mountain Front in Montana is one most ecologically rich and pristine areas left in the lower 48 states; from the Blackfeet Indian Reservation and Glacier National Park south to Augusta, Montana. This pristine landscape and some of the highest water and air quality in the nation is currently threatened by indiscriminate oil and gas drilling using unregulated hydraulic fracturing; which involves the use of highly toxic chemicals and large quantities of precious surface and ground water for drilling. Chemicals such as benzyl chloride, benzene, toulene and many others and unregulated placement of well pads near rivers, lakes, streams and rural residences pose a direct threat to the health of people and environment. We petition a ban on fracking on the Rocky Mountain Front, Montana.
