I believe a strong position on this issue will improve our relations with other countries in the region while not seriously compromising those with Israel. I also think it would help with the President's reelection since it would show an aversion to more military action on his part.

Please out the draft Pacific trade deal (TPP) as the unfree and secretly written stinker that it is - unless you're a corporate CEO. We don't want to grant new patent privileges and restrict internet freedom, and we don't want private citizens negotiating or writing our trade agreements.

For over 50 years the US embargo against Cuba has been an emotionally manipulated foreign policy that can not be any longer legally, politically, historically or economically justified. The atavistic perpetuation of this unintelligent foreign policy, perpetuated for over 50 years, has damaged our efficiency and perception as the World Leader

Condeleezza Rice was cheered wildly when she spoke at the Republican National Convention. Rice repeated the lie about us attacking Iraq because Saadam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. Scholars at John Hopkins University reported after conducted a door to door survey in Iraq in 2006 that some 690,000 innocent civilians had been murdered. Bush and his cronies should be tried for a crime against humanity.

There have been repeated reports that Israel plans to bomb Iran, and Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney implies he would support such a war. A Pentagon study find that it would involve the United States in a wider regional war.

President Obama's goal of greater engagement between Americans and Cubans is endorsed by two-thirds of our country and is the most effective way to foster democracy, friendship and mutual understanding. However a determined minority of mostly Republican Cuban Americans opposes all travel and successfully exploited the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) to create bureaucratic obstacles to licensing and renewal of people to people programs. The President has the power to permanently open the door by authorizing a general license (no application required) for all purposeful non-tourist travel–just as he did for Cuban Americans, universities and religious organizations. By ending discrimination, the President will free every American to participate in special interest guided tours and professional and cultural exchanges or to travel with their families and independently, using less expensive public transportation, rental cars and privately owned bed and breakfasts. To encourage nationwide participation, all US travel agents and tour operators must be allowed to promote and book transportation, accommodations and programs instead of only a near monopoly of 250 mostly Cuban American Florida-based Travel Service Providers.

Much of the hate directed at the US throughout the world comes from its perceived support of Israeli expansion into Palestinian territory. Billions of dollars are poured into a tinder box of ancient hatreds, cultures of violence and illegal land annexations. Stop feeding the fire and save our money for solving our OWN domestic problems.

Our dependence on foreign fuel has involved us in multiple foreign wars and threatens the very nature of our society. Stop our dependence on foreign fuel now and free our society and economy from the horrible drain that such monitoring, policing, crippling investment causes. Develop environmentally and economically viable alternative fuels that would allow us to break this downward spiraling behavior of having to depend often times hostile foreign concerns.

We are concerned we will be pulled in a war with Iran that can easily escalate to the use of nuclear weapons. All it will take is Israel to provoke an attack. War game scenarios predict dramatic escalation within the region from this point, as well as attacks in Europe and the US.

Require tht President of the United States to veto any proposed law authorizing military and/or foreign aid to a country condemed by a majority vote of the General Assembly of the United Nations.

As a veteran with a step-son deployed, I am very concerned with the rise in active duty suicides (one per day), veterans committing suicide (300 per month), the number of troops dying every month in Afghanistan (on average one per day). These numbers aren't even newsworthy anymore. Peace is not treason.
