• Free Jabin Bogan
My son Jabin Bogan has been imprisoned in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico since April 17, 2012 for simply making a wrong turn. Jabin is a truck driver who was delivering cargo to the El Paso, Texas area on the 17th when he inadvertently ended up on the U.S./Mexico border. Although U.S. border agents directed him to enter the "yellow zone" on the Mexican side and make a "U" turn, Mexican authorities arrested him for carrying several boxes of live ammunition among the other cargo he was hauling. None of which was designated for Mexico which his manifest documents clearly show. What also is clear is that so far, we've only gotten "lip service" from our local elected officials in Texas. Meanwhile Jabin has spent four months in a Mexican prison, wondering why his government does not care to get him freed.

  • Nonviolent mediation, not war, with Iran
Watching the deterioration of diplomacy with Iran, and hearing threats of war, I've felt deeply concerned that our country and its allies are not making use of proven conflict-resolution techniques such as Marshall Rosenberg's Nonviolent Communication. All peoples, especially in Iran and Israel, stand to lose enormously if full-scale war breaks out, and it is our duty to do all we can to foster a peaceful resolution.

  • Mutual Protection Treaty With Israel
Iran is threatening to wipe Israel off the face of the map. They are working on a nuclear weapons program to produce weapons to carryout their threat. Should Israel become involved in a war with Iran, the USA should be there to protect its ally.

  • BRING OUR TROOPS HOME
I am 65 yrs old, lived thru the Vietnam Conflict/War. I hate to see young soldiers killed, maimed, PTSD, etc, it's not worth it. Afganistan has been at some kind of war/conflict since I was at least 17, I remember, and rebuilding???, it looks the same as it did when I was 17. I support the troops 100%, but I am tired of war/conflicts, very tired.....

  • Let diplomacy and sanctions on Iran work
As the drumbeat for war with Iran grows louder, and some call on the President to abandon negotiations and diplomacy, we are on the verge of another war in the Middle East. Tell our elected officials to let diplomacy and sanctions work to prevent Iran from going nuclear.

  • Help Stop Boko Haram
In the past two years, Boko Haram has terrorized innocent and law-abiding Nigerians. They are responsible for attacks on churches, schools, media houses and government buildings including the August 2011 bombing of the UN building in Nigeria's capitol city of Abuja. They have killed more than 1400 men, women, and children, and has hindered freedom of religion. I have several relatives who have become internally displaced, some lost their parents and many their means of livelihood. The Nigerian government has been unable to curb their actions. Help us tell US State Department to declare Boko Haram a Foreign Terrorist Organization which will help cut off its funding sources within and outside Nigeria.

  • IAPMC Petition for A Nuclear Weapons Free Middle East
The US large military presence in the Middle East, threats of invasion and sanctions against Iran over the claim that Iran is building “nuclear weapons.” is exacerbating an already tense and volatile situation. These add to the fires burning in the Middle East, a real threat of another Middle East war with wide spread repercussions. Peace loving people must speak out. We are calling for support of the Conference to be convened by the Secretary-General of the United Nations together with Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States, in Helsinki, Finland in December, 2012, to be attended by all states in the region of the Middle East, to consider the establishment of a Middle East zone free of nuclear weapons and all other weapons of mass destruction. The establishment of such a zone would be based on legally-binding agreements freely concluded by all States of the region and with the full support and engagement of the nuclear-weapon States. The objective is to ensure that ALL the countries in the region agree to rid the region of nuclear weapons and all other weapons of mass destruction and their delivery systems. This is a logical solution rooted in both history and the anti-nuclear weapon experience. We urge you to sign our petition. Yours in Peace, Alfred L. Marder President, International Association of Peace Messenger Cities

  • End Economic Embargo Against Cuba
The people of Cuba have suffered great deprivation of medical supplies, material goods, educational items, and ability to engage in trade with other nations. Both our political parties are afraid of losing support of Cuban Americans primarily in Florida and New Jersey..It has been an inhumane draconian abomination and we should be ashamed. Every country in the world knows our error
