  • Representatives Need to Hold Town Halls
Representatives too often avoid constituents and just meet with donors and other big money people. If they are going to represent us, they need to hear what issues are important to us.

The nonprofit SCRG realized that the New York City Council was one of a few agencies within city government that did not have an actual Community Affairs Bureau. To help serve the constituents with following areas: Community Affairs; Chaplains Unit; Community-Police Relations Unit, the New York City Council - Community Affairs Bureau was established as an initiative of SCRG and we need council members to recognize it as an initiative and support the initiative serving the constituents of the various council districts.

  • Arya's Law
Our family dog, Arya went missing from our property on 4/21/18 after neighbors threw a party and set off illegal fireworks. We lost sight of her after she ran towards the party guests. In a matter of moments, she was gone. We asked for help from the neighbors by giving us the list of party guests to gather information. They refused to help us. It was later reported one of the guests took our beloved dog. In addition, law enforcement refused to even write a citation for the fireworks, which are illegal in our area. Upon doing research in our search for Arya I have discovered animals have little to no rights when it comes to being placed in harm's way. Fireworks in a residential setting place our family pets in harm's way as evidenced by our own situation in which my two-year-old horse was injured trying to get away from the noise. She ended up putting her leg through our fence and injuring a tendon. Further evidenced by the loss of our dog, I also learned in cases of theft of an animal there are very few consequences and certainly not severe consequences. Please help my family and I get this message to our State officials in order to increase animal protection and theft laws in our area.

  • Keep the Providence Water Supply Board in public hands
A House bill introduced at the General Assembly on April 26 would allow the Providence Water Supply Board, which provides water to 60% of Rhode Islanders, to be sold or leased to a private or quasi-private entity. An identical Senate bill is due for a hearing on Tuesday, May 29 at 4:30 p.m. or later in Room 313 of the RI State House. Providence Mayor Jorge Elorza supports this legislation because he wants to raise money for the City of Providence's pension fund, which is currently funded at 26%. While the pension fund is a serious issue, water, a critical public resource and the foundation of our health and economic well-being, should not be used to correct decades of fiscal mismanagement by the City of Providence. Privatizing water, or using a public-private partnership to manage water, has been tried in the US and abroad and has led to corruption, environmental hazards, water rates that rise by 59 percent, poor service and damage to infrastructure. The public loses control over a resource we cannot live without, and cities have spent tens of millions to reclaim public control over the water utility.

  • Human beings are human beings
Donald Trump stated that immigrants aren't human beings, that they are just animals. The worst crimes in history have come from this kind of dehumanization. Human beings are human beings. Never Again!

This is a copy of what Judge Susan Kennedy-Sullivan-2051 has done. Judge Susan Kennedy-Sullivan-2051 did not even have a file or service in the case, and she discharge us as guardians after 12 years due to the judicial misconduct I file on her. She should have recused herself. She thinks SHE IS GOD! https://mahdee-2yearinhellwithdcfs.blogspot.com.

  • Budget Chairs @PhilTing and @HollyJMitchell: Please fund #OpenSource #PaperBallot Voting!
Ever since presidential election controversies in Florida ('00) and Ohio ('04), there have been grave concerns about the integrity of proprietary voting systems from corporate vendors. The 2017 DEF CON security conference called them a “national security threat”. Open-Source Paper Ballot Voting Systems are more secure and transparent. And, after one county develops a system, the whole state could use it for free. That’s why Assemblymember David Chiu and Senator Scott Wiener, working with the California Clean Money Campaign, submitted a state budget request for $8 million in matching funds to help counties develop them. Assembly Budget Chair Phil Ting and Senate Budget Chair Holly Mitchell are key to this funding. Ask them to fund open-source voting now!

  • Fire Kelly Sadler
The indecency of joking about and demeaning a war hero and public servant cannot be allowed to stand without immediate objection and appropriate consequences. People employed in government positions represent the country and its citizens. If Ms. Sadler is not held accountable for her reprehensible statements, we will be on record as condoning this kind of indecent and immoral behavior. It must stop. NOW. Fire Kelly Sadler.
