At a time when Mercer and Koch money will pour into this race, Former US Attorney for the Southern District, Preet Bharara is the most likely to win big. He is popular with all New Yorkers. He is Trump's worst nightmare. Bharara has a record of winning big cases. Bharara is a strong Dem who won't be pushed around by Washington and Albany.

These 3 legislators are trying to interfere with the Mueller investigation. This would be disastrous for the country and the people of the United States. Their actions arouse suspicion that they have joined with Donald Trump to defy the will of the People and deprive us of knowing what happened in the 2016 election. A lot of evidence of a wide variety of irregularities and probably crimes have been covered up by these three legislators. These acts threaten the very fabric of our democracy and the investigation must be allowed to proceed until every rock has been turned over to discover who has done what and how our system of governance has been degraded and bought.

On May 22nd the Truckee Town Council will decide the appeal for whether or not Grocery Outlet can build a new store across Donner Pass Road from Safeway. Our community has demonstrated repeatedly in the last year that sustainability is a primary concern. This project is a step backward for town sustainability. It is redundant given our current options of Safeway, Savemart, and New Moon, not to mention the approved Raley’s and Railyard grocery stores. Nearby residents are legitimately concerned that their once sleepy residential streets will be used as an alternate access route. Furthermore, the project jeopardizes access to an under-served part of town and congests an already crowded thoroughfare. New projects should make the Town of Truckee more livable, not less.

I, along with many other people, feel that keeping Dennis Raga in as Trustee will bring nothing but bad publicity, along with financial burden to the taxpayers for lawsuits stemming from his behaviors.

Consumers don't support animal abuse -- but they are being denied accurate information by Big Ag and the US government through a series of laws, including the Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act and numerous ag gag bills, designed to suppress and criminalize animal rights activism, making it illegal to even photograph agricultural facilities from public property. The public deserves to know how animals are being raised but Trump wants to keep the truth hidden so that large corporations will continue to pay him millions of dollars. We can't sit silently by while federal laws are protecting animal abuse and preventing the free speech of activists who try to expose the truth. Sign and share the petition asking Congress to end the federal cover up of factory farms.

Update: an attorney has filed to have the trademark(s) cancelled. Keep standing together writers!!!!! While the trademarking of this word doesn't affect me personally, it is going to affect thousands of titles in the current market. It's wrong on so many levels for one author to be allowed to trademark a word that's been used since the Victorian era. Writers, sign the petition, contact the lawyers agreeing to help and the organizations agreeing to help (Carol Ritter from RWA), and stand up to this woman. You shouldn't have to change your book title. No one should.

The alleged criminal investigation against Mayor Correa has him unable to do his job in our opinion. Public funds via his Mayoral salary are going towards legal fees, and he has formed a legal defense fund to help with those fees. This alleged criminal investigation is nothing but a major distraction for our city, and it tarnishes the city’s reputation. This could all end easily with the Mayors resignation. His unwillingness to be transparent and honest about this makes matters worse. Our city deserves better.

The American taxpayer should not pay for the press secretary's duties any longer. It's all obfuscation and lies. We pay taxes for this ruse. No more.

Our daughter Bree Moore was murdered by her boyfriend as a result of dating violence and we have made it our mission to make sure this doesn't happen to another young woman. We are about to lose the opportunity to formally name the 'teen dating violence and prevention education' our family advocated getting passed in 2015 in Alaska, as 'Bree's Law.' We are arming our teens with the knowledge to protect themselves from unhealthy dating relationships through prevention education, but we must reach their hearts in order to effect long-lasting change.
