Considering that the President may have criminally colluded and conspired with a foreign adversary to win election, he should not be allowed to influence the Federal Judiciary for years to come. We all may be personally affected by this issue.

We need to be ready for Trump to do the unthinkable. Trump's former campaign chair and longtime associate Paul Manafort was just found guilty of fraud and tax evasion, and there’s no telling how President Trump -- who believes the rule of law doesn’t apply to him -- will retaliate. This is just the latest concrete outcome of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russia’s election meddling and potential conspiracy with Trump’s team -- which has resulted in 35 guilty pleas or indictments in addition to today’s verdict. But despite the mountains of evidence to the contrary, Trump continues to attack Mueller’s investigation as an unfounded “witch hunt” -- which raises the troubling prospect of a pardon for Manafort and other aides convicted of wrongdoing. Trump has already issued politically motivated pardons to Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s contempt of court conviction, Dinesh D’Souza’s campaign finance violations, and Scooter Libby’s perjury and obstruction of justice -- stoking controversies to rile up his base and distract us from his ongoing attacks on our values. Now, he’s refused to rule out a pardon for Manafort as well -- just another effort to have one set of rules for his friends, and another set for the American people. And, his self-interested abuse of the pardon power could constitute obstruction of justice if he’s using it as a reward for loyalty on the Russia investigation. Simply put, pardoning Manafort would show once again how Trump thinks that he and his associates are above the law -- and that he’ll willingly abuse his power to protect himself and his close associates. We must demonstrate that Americans are united in defense of the rule of law -- and that we’re ready to hold any official who abuses their power accountable. Today we are unable to vote in our elections despite being registered Americans. I believe we should not lose our rights to vote or have our voice muted because we choose not to affiliate with a party. Brett Kavanaugh believes that a sitting president is immune to prosecution and possibly even investigation. His nomination is intended to protect Trump from the independent counsel investigation. Kavanaugh has suggested that Roe v. Wade was decided incorrectly, implying that he would vote to overturn it.

Trump has gone too far. 1.) We can't have a president with an enemies list. We must protect those that have security clearance. These patriots are protecting our nation. 2.) The press is not the "enemy of the people".

Confirmation of a Supreme Court Justice is a grave responsibility and affects all Americans. Confirmation should not be undertaken until everything about the nominee is known.

The U.S. Postal Service is the most popular government agency in the country, with a favorability rating of nearly 90 percent. But now, President Trump is bent on destroying it. This week, a task force led by Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and White House budget director Mick Mulvaney, is expected to endorse the privatization of the US Postal Service. If the US Post Office is privatized, rural communities would suffer the most. “If the goal of the Postal Service is to make as much money as possible,” Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) told the Nation in June, “tens of millions of people, particularly low-income people and people in rural areas, will see a decline in or doing away with basic mail services.” Private companies won’t deliver to certain remote areas because it’s not profitable to do so, but the Postal Service is obligated to serve all Americans regardless of where they live. Automatic Voter Registration (AVR) is a game-changing solution. Here's how it works: whenever an eligible voter does business with the DMV or another public office, their information is automatically verified and securely added to the voter rolls, unless they opt out. This simple reform will make our election system much safer, less expensive, and more accessible. It's a much-needed improvement over our cumbersome, outdated voter registration process. Plus, it'd significantly increase the amount of eligible voters who participate in our democracy -- and make sure election results more accurately reflect what the people want. Automatic Voter Registration is just common sense -- and it’s already delivering major results in states across the country. In the 2016 election, Oregon bucked a nationwide low-turnout trend thanks to AVR -- with at least 100,000 newly registered voters showing up to the polls.
