I am an outraged and worried citizen who cannot understand why this current administration faced with Putin's cyber war attack on our nation, not just refuses to act against the attacker, but wants to befriend him!

We have ALL suffered from air and water pollution from fossil, chemical, nuclear industries bribing our (so-called) public officials. These, and other, predatory industries have looted tax money from most Americans, to cover externalized costs of operation.

Senator Franken is our Senator. The people of Minnesota are entitled to have our system of due process and proportionality for unacceptable behavior applied to the people we elect. The fact that Al Franken was elected twice by the people of this State doesn’t absolve him of responsibility for anything he may have done. But certainly we are entitled to a process that objectively looks at the allegations against him and renders a judgment based on the existing norm of proportionality, the same norm that all of us live with every day. Al Franken is our U.S. Senator. He deserves due process and so do the people of Minnesota.

I have read about the devastating effects of climate change. As such, I will do everything in my power to keep my environment clean and healthy. Sadly, the coal billionaires are bribing our Republican state legislators into destroying our environment. We the people must petition so that you can help shut down coal plants to save our future and our environment.

We are having our income stolen by people like Corker who got a tax deal on our backs. NO more. NO legislator should benefit from legislation for a period of 4-7 years. Then we'll see if that's really "public interest" or not!

On 12/20/17, Politico revealed that California's Republican Representative Devin Nunes is leading an on-going and secret investigation of the FBI & DOJ leadership aiming to show bias against President Trump. Rep. Nunes is my representative, and I find his actions to be contrary to the ethical standards to which elected representatives at the national level must adhere in order to serve the entire nation. Instead, this is more of the types of actions that are further inflaming highly contentious divisions within the US.

This is not an Anti-Conservatism petition as I believe bipartisan bills are the most beneficial to the American population. Unfortunately, however, the corruption and willful undermining of our democracy within the Republican Party is apparent to the American People, and we demand it be dissolved and Conservatives start a new party with a commitment to honest public service, patriotism and real conservative values. Return the integrity to the conservative wing of America and end the party of corrupted Republicans.

It is unfair to Al Franken and the people he represents for him to resign over allegations that have not been subjected to an ethics investigation. He has stated he will resign on January 2. Please encourage him to reconsider.

I am not hearing about any support, only criticism and possible threats to the investigation. No one seems to be stepping up to defend it -- so the public must do so.

We have twice placed in office presidents who were clearly the minority vote getters in two of the last three changes in the presidency. We are the only nation in the world with such an undemocratic voting system for the sole nationwide office being voted upon. The Constitution says: "We the People..." without reference to the location of the people and our nationwide elections should reflect all the people's choice.

Because Merrill may drag his feet and delay Jones's seating the U.S. Senate when it is vital Jones be there, if at all possible, to help scuttle the present tax proposal by the GOP.
