Because we voted for medical marijuana to be legalized, and the state government has taken apart what we voted for and created something completely different out of it. It will unavailable and unaffordable for most people who need it. Also, Florida as a state will benefit economically by full legalization. It will provide jobs, create a money flow that can aid schools and other necessary programs, and will cut down on illegal and unsafe drug activity in our state.

All entities in the State of Illinois who are supposed to receive state funds are being neglected because the state has had no budget for 2+ years! This includes schools, higher education, the sick, the poor, retirees, any disadvantaged. The legislators have tried but the governor just makes demands without negotiating.

You and/or your company have publicly supported the Paris climate agreement. Trump has now withdrawn. Tesla/SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has already resigned in protest, and you should follow his lead. As a business leader and public figure, you can step down from Trump's Business Advisory Council and send a message to your customers, the US, and the world that despite Trump's shameful actions, the United States still understands that climate science is real and that action is urgently necessary.

Michigan Lt. Gov. Brian Calley is pushing for a part-time legislature, something he has particular experience with - he didn’t show up for work for a third of session days during 2013 and 2014 while he was leaving the state to attend Harvard on the taxpayers’ time. He needs to do the right thing for once and return one-third of the paycheck he took from the public while he was skipping work.

The Trump Administration’s proposal to cut the Women’s Bureau’s budget by 70%, eliminating all regional offices, would essentially render the agency unable to fulfill its mission of empowering women to achieve economic security. For nearly 100 years, the Women’s Bureau has served as the only agency in the federal government charged with advocating for the interest of working women and for the economic security of women and their families. It has worked on high priority issues for working women such as paid leave, earned sick time, as well as highlighting the needs of women veterans. It has been at the forefront of addressing equal pay, ensuring breastfeeding and pregnancy accommodation, as well as working with women in the trades.
