Disruptive Airplane NoiseWe the residents of Roslindale, MA along with Dorchester, Roxbury and Jamaica Plain are victims of MassPort's bungling and the FAA's indifference to our plight. Airlines do not want to climb over the water because it uses more fuel yet climbing over residential areas starting at 5 am is perfectly acceptable as it doesn't cut into profits even though it negatively affects the quality of life for residents.56 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Mary O'Connor

Wyoming Correctional FacilityWe the undersigned hereby are requesting your assistance in the investigation of Wyoming Correctional Facility in Attica, NY. We all have loved ones that are incarcerated at Wyoming Correctional Facility. (Sons, fathers, grandfathers, husbands, uncles, nephews and brothers) Upon our arrival at the facility, whether it’s by the bus, cab or by private vehicles, we are forced to stand outside in inclement weather. (Rain, hail, sleet and snow). The bus comes from New York City and usually drops us off anywhere between 5:45 & 6:45 AM. The facility does not open the Hospitality doors sometimes until 8 AM. The reason for our early arrival is because of the 2 to 4 hours that it takes to be processed and get into the facility. If we don’t make it there early there is a chance that we may not see our loved ones. Some of us travel up to 18 hours to and from in order to see our loved ones. With the new facial recognition our photos are taken sometimes 5, 6, 7 times. On Saturday, July 8, 2017, the weather in Attica, NY was heavy rain with thunder and lightning. According to the National Weather Service if a thunderstorm is approaching or nearby, the advice is to take caution and move inside. It is not safe to be outside. Each year thunderstorms produce an estimated 20 to 25 million clouds to ground lightning flashes in the U.S. Each one of these flashes is a potential killer. Some of these flashes strike directly under the storm where it is raining, but some of the flashes reach out away from the storm where people perceive the lightning threat to be low or nonexistent, therefore catching people by surprise. Based on cases documented by the National Weather Service in recent years, about 30 people are killed by lightning each year and hundreds more are injured, some suffering devastating neurological injuries that persist for the rest of their lives. About 2/3 of the deaths are associated with outdoor activities. In general, a significant lightning threat extends outward from the base of a thunderstorm cloud about 6-10 miles. There is no place outside that is safe when a thunderstorm is in the area; therefore we are requesting that you implement Wyoming Correctional Facility to open its Hospitality Building, especially for the bus and cab riders. Of us who ride the bus or cab, we have no shelter once dropped off. There are babies, elderly men and women out in the weather. On July 20th a tornado hit Hamburg, NY. We stand united in hopes that you would provide a solution to this unsafe practice that Wyoming Correctional Facility is doing since it is the only facility that has such a dangerous practice of leaving people out in the inclement weather.67 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Theresa Barlow

Protect the Mueller investigationDonald Trump is closer than ever to firing Robert Mueller and ending the Trump-Russia investigation. Trump has attacked attorney general Jeff Sessions repeatedly and forced him to resign. Trump put a loyalist, Matthew Whitaker, in charge of the Justice Department and oversight of Mueller's work. Trump has attacked the Department of Justice and FBI a number of times. The American people deserve the truth. Michael Flynn, Trump's former national security adviser, is guilty. Paul Manafort, Trump's former campaign chairman, is guilty. Rick Gates, Trump's former campaign aide, is guilty. George Papadopoulos, Trump's former foreign policy adviser, is guilty. Michael Cohen, Trump's personal fixer and lawyer, is guilty. Russian intelligence officers and companies were indicted for nefarious activity during the 2016 election. We cannot allow Donald Trump to hide the truth and derail the investigation. Tell your members of Congress to protect the Mueller investigation.279,879 of 300,000 SignaturesCreated by Jane Dewing

Tell Senator Hatch To Stand With DreamersThis summer, the Trump Administration will decide whether to deport nearly 800,000 young immigrants who came to the United States as children and currently have no immigration status, a group often known as Dreamers. In 2012, President Obama used his executive power to protect Dreamers from deportation and allowed them to work and drive legally in the United States. Since then Dreamers have thrived under DACA, by going to school and contributing back to their local communities and economy. However, several officials within the Trump Administration have indicated that they intend on ending the DACA program - killing the dreams of hundreds of thousands of Dreamers who grew up only know America as their home and putting them on a path to deportation. Even Trump’s top immigration official even told Hispanic leaders in Congress to prepare for the worst in regards to the DACA program. The 2017 Dream Act, a bipartisan bill recently introduced in Congress, would allow Dreamers to stay in the United States and apply for citizenship. If we want to ensure that Dreamers are kept safe from Donald Trump’s Deportation Force, then Senator Orrin Hatch must recognize them as the aspiring Americans that they are and pledge to protect DACA program and co-sponsoring the 2017 Dream Act.1,965 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Ciriac Alvarez

Jared Kushner's national security clearance must be revoked immediately!Reporting by The New York Times this month has revealed further details about the circumstances in which Jared Kushner was provided Top-Secret security clearance despite major flags from intelligence officials. Trump demanded that Jared get security clearance, even though there is no clear reason as to why his son-in-law needed it. We already knew that Jared Kushner failed to disclose a meeting in which he attempted to set up a secret communications channel with Russia and did not disclose his many financial conflicts of interest. Jared Kushner has extensive business ties with many foreign governments and contacts, including Israel, United Arab Emirates, and Russia. For this reason, the CIA and FBI flagged and held up his security clearance. His father-in-law, Trump, however, demanded that it be provided, regardless of these flags. As such, John Kelly and Don McGahn wrote out memos stating that they were forced to provide such clearance to the president's son-in-law, making it clear that they did not ultimately agree with Trump's decision. Kushner has a clear conflict of interest and should not be given access to top-security information, simply because his father-in-law is the president. His security clearance should be removed immediately.22,857 of 25,000 SignaturesCreated by Elizabeth Miller

Send a message to Trump and his "voter fraud" commission that we won't let our voting rights be t...This week, Trump’s voter suppression commission is meeting for the first time. Before they’ve even met, this commission is causing voters to unregister and compromising people’s privacy. Over two weeks ago, this commission asked all 50 states for personal information of voters under the guise of “election integrity”, I refused to comply with this request. Any attempts to suppress voters is a direct threat to our democracy. I do not trust this commission because everything surrounding it has indicated that its only goal is to suppress voters. Even before their first meeting, they are already achieving that. Voters in Colorado, Florida, and North Carolina are seeking to unregister so that their information isn’t sent to this commission. No voter should ever have to fear that registering to vote risks their privacy. Every voter who cancels their registration is a victory for Trump. We cannot let this happen. We all have a responsibility to speak up and stand up. As President, Trump should be protecting your rights. Let’s pledge through this action to do everything our our power to defend our privacy and voting rights. This fight is going to be tough, but I’m certain that if we work together over the next several months and years, we can protect our democracy and resist Trump’s dangerous voter suppression agenda.2,341 of 3,000 SignaturesCreated by Alex Padilla
