As I type this, Congress is trying desperately to repeal the bill commonly referred to as Obamacare. This bill has given untold numbers of people, who had no healthcare before, coverage and saved countless numbers of lives in the process. And while they claim to be working on a replacement, we have heard the timetable of between a few weeks to "somewhere down the road". This is completely unacceptable! That is why, as a show of solidarity and good faith with the American people, the members of Congress that vote to repeal the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) should also suspend their own healthcare until such time that a suitable replacement has been conceived, ratified, and put into effect. If they truly have something good in the works and are not simply gas-lighting the American people, drunk off of their own power, or simply looking to dismantle the legacy of President Barack Obama, then this small action should be nothing but a minor inconvenience to them. Congress, do what you know to be right and suspend your own healthcare coverage until such time as a replacement for Obamacare has been completed.

Because I believe we need to protect the American electoral process.

In light of U.S. intelligence findings, outside influences successfully inhibited our political process and diverted its outcome. Our Founding Fathers did not think of everything. In order to achieve feats never before achieved we must employ methods never before used!!

Donald Trump has scheduled his first "press conference" since July next week, on the day that Republicans are planning to railroad through SIX of his most controversial cabinet picks. Ask the major news media outlets to focus the majority of their resources and coverage on the confirmation hearings and not on the sideshow that Trump's bait and switch "news conference" is sure to be.

This affects not only me directly but millions of people around the United States in hospitals or not, injured or not.

Now Donald Trump has nominated Exxon's CEO Rex Tillerson to be Secretary of State. Putting Big Oil in charge of our foreign policy could do enormous damage to people and the planet, and Senators should reject his nomination.

House Republicans voted on Monday to limit the power of the Office of Congressional Ethics. The measure will be voted on in the House today.

We need to bring back honesty and integrity to the highest office of the US.

We are horrified and dismayed by the fact that a foreign power was able to interfere and influence the result of our presidential election. We cannot simply "move on" from this outrageous state of affairs as it is ILLEGAL AND UNJUSTIFIABLE!

This is a distress signal. We the American People are terrified. Since November eighth, we have done everything in our power to prevent Donald Trump from taking office as the President of the United States, but to no avail, and we now fear for our national security. Donald Trump runs on a platform of fascism. Not only has he proposed policies for ethnic and religious minorities that bear an unnerving resemblance to the first steps of other ethnic cleansing campaigns throughout history (to the point that survivors of those ethnic cleansing campaigns find these policies alarming), but he and his campaign adviser, Kellyanne Conway, have repeatedly made public statements implying that he aspires to make opposing his regime a criminal offense. We are aware that the other branches of the American government are structured to ensure that a president such as Trump would not be able to erode our constitutional liberties, but we no longer have faith in our other elected officials to uphold their duty of maintaining a system of checks and balances. The electoral college failed in doing exactly this, this election has been filled with examples of prominent Republican politicians failing to stand up against Trump's fascist platform, and the Republican party now controls the Senate, controls the House, and (presuming Trump will nominate the next justice) unofficially controls the Supreme Court. Donald Trump's ascension to office ought to be treated as a concern of the United Nations because there's strong evidence that it's the product of Russia attempting to invade us. When Russian President, Vladimir Putin, seized control of the Crimean Peninsula, the invasion did not begin with military force. Instead, the Kremlin spent upwards of $100 million feeding the population of the area propaganda and otherwise attempting to interfere with the nation's elections. The FBI has already confirmed that Russia worked directly with the Trump campaign to influence the outcome of the election with propaganda, and both political and computer experts claim a high likelihood that electronic voting machines were directly tampered with. The events of the 2016 United States election fit a narrative in which Putin exploited the cultural upheaval within America to seize control of our government alarmingly well. If this is true, then we are at great risk for military invasion. Our country is rapidly destabilizing. Construction sites of the Dakota Access Pipeline have become battlegrounds with peace at the sites guaranteed to last at most only as long as President Obama's remaining days in office. Hoards of vigilante Trump supporters, many of which are self-identified Nazis, intimidate and sometimes threaten to kill racial and ethnic minorities. The United States military has a larger budget than the next eight largest militaries combined, and protesters are already regularly brutalized by a militarized domestic police force; if President Trump were to begin targeting our constitutional rights, if Russia were to invade the United States, the American people would have no realistic recourse to overcome this hypothetical fascist regime. We the people still have hope that there will be a pathway to protecting the presidential office from Trump that is in line with our constitution, but for the above reason, we cannot wait for all reasonable avenues against totalitarianism to dry up before declaring our country in a state of emergency. Vladimir Putin has his eye on global control, and he just succeeded in installing an unstable puppet as the leader of a country with nuclear weapons; nuclear weapons Trump has demonstrated a nonchalance with the idea of using. The outcome of the 2016 election will pose a threat to the rest of the world sooner or later, and we urge the leaders of America's allied nations to start planning for a worst case scenario.
