• National Referendum for Congressional Term Limits Referéndum Nacional de los límites de mandato d...
Congressional term limits will necessitate an expansion of the pool of those who can serve. This will enable more middle class participation in the congressional process, and truly embody the principle of "for the people, BY THE PEOPLE". Congressional term limits will expand the role of the majority in government causing congress to be responsive to the will of greatest number of Americans rather than the will of the wealthiest of Americans

  • Put the CDC in charge of nutritional information
Our regulatory system for nutrition standards and food safety is split between two agencies, neither of which is responsible for our general health. The USDA is primarily devoted towards representing crop producers and food manufacturers as its mission is the marketing of US agriculture while the FDA is focused on drugs and medicine. Both are heavily compromised by the industries they serve. We need a science based authority to provide nutritional guidance and reduce the diseases of diabetes, heart disease, cancer and Alzheimer's disease, illnesses that are primarily caused by poor nutrition, and to protect our food supply. We have a competent agency already that is able to protect us from disease; the CDC.

  • Auto Safety Inspections should be about Safety
The new rules (from who?) concerning Auto and Truck Safety Inspections are no longer about safety. State residents are now obligated to bring their vehicles to like new condition whether it has anything to do with safety or not. I was failed because of the parking brake indicator light and a customer of mine had to pay $1000 to fix torn CV boots. Another customer had to pay $400 to replace a tail light lens that had a barely visible crack. We need our regulations to make sense and the new Safety Inspection rules do not.

  • Term limits for congress & senate
Limiting the number of terms congress & senate can serve to two terms, the same as the presidency. We have the most unproductive congress in the history of this country and they have proven why these angry old men should not be in charge of anything. This group of old angry birds are not concerned about the betterment of the country but a power struggle with the president. Limit their terms so that we can always have people willing to work for this country.

  • End Judicial Obstruction: Fill the D.C. Circuit!
President Obama has announced three nominees to fill critical vacancies on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, widely regarded as the nation’s second most influential court. We can't let Republicans filibuster and get away with more obstruction! This isn’t just about GOP senators obstructing the D.C. Circuit. It’s about ALL the federal courts, including the Supreme Court. And it’s about confirming executive branch appointees like labor secretary, the head of the EPA, and the director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

  • Stop Government Waste
My husband is affected by the furlow, while the taxpayers pay for the IRS employees (and I am sure others) to take "team building vacations". Think of the total cost of all the Governement Departments that do this.

  • Stop Wasting time and get back to work.
According to the Congressional Research Service the Republican majority in the House of Representatives has spent 80 hours of House floor business and nearly $50 million tax payer dollars holding 37 votes to repeal Obama's Health Care Act. They knew beforehand that ALL of these votes would fail but they called for them anyway. This is an obvious and blatant waste of both the taxpayer time and money.

  • Secretary Clinton: The nation needs you to pressure Gov. Cuomo to fight for public financing of e...
Former Secretary of State and Unites States Senator Hillary Clinton, who represented the people of New York state, is a front-runner for the Democratic nomination for president in 2016. Though she's yet to announce her candidacy, if Mrs. Clinton ran, she'd be the clear favorite. Another likely candidate is New York's Governor Andrew Cuomo, who served as Attorney General during Secretary Clinton’s time in the Senate and as cabinet member in President Bill Clinton's administration. Governor Cuomo has shown he can make things happen when he wants to, but he’s not exercising his legendary influence right now for fair elections. The governor is arguably the most powerful man in the state of New York - certainly in the New York Democratic Party. Though the governor is on record in support of a fair elections bill, this handful of obstructionist Democratic Senators couldn't possibly block this legislation if Governor Cuomo made it a true priority. The governor needs to hear from someone who's represented New York before, who's been a vocal proponent of public financing, and who can give him a run for his money in 2016. We need Hillary Clinton to make a statement now!

Former Secretary of State and U.S. Senator Hillary Clinton, who ably represented the people of New York, is on the record in support of fair elections. New York needs her now as much as ever! Secretary Clinton, we call on you to use the powerful influence of your advocacy for fairness in elections to get the New York Senate to do the right thing for all New Yorkers. Governor Cuomo has shown he can make things happen when he wants to, but he’s not exercising his legendary influence right now for fair elections. The Governor is arguably the most powerful man in the state of New York, certainly in the New York Democratic Party. This handful of Senators couldn't possibly block this legislation if Gov. • HIHO Honest In, Honest Out

America needs to find 535 good people, provably honest, to travel to Washington and change America for the better, then return home to their lives, as it was in the beginning of the USA. Create a HiHo.com in your home state. Let people log on with their stories of the good people in your area, check those persons out and get them on the ballot next election cycle, and let's get everyone to vote away from the corrupt two-party system.Let's send honest people who can't be bought to Congress, end lobbies, eliminate the "Career" of politics and make some changes for the people, instead of continuing the hemorrhage that is American Politics.
