My petition is about a do nothing Congress.In any other line of work in the so called "free market syetem",if you don't produce you don't get paid or you get fired.Since Congress can't seem to get anything accomplished to move the country forward I believe the same standard should apply.Get some beneficial legislation passed for the country or don't get paid.The system is broken.Fire them all.

We need to stop the corruption in gov't politics. One of the easiest and quickest ways to help deter the corruption is to set term limits of 2 terms for any of the positions. Remember there is a reason the president of the U.S. has only 2 terms. It is to stop total control and corruption.

Elections should result in proportional representation, not winner take all, to eliminate gerrymandering.

They pay into a retirement fund and we pay into their retirement fund only as long as they are an elected official. They collect their retirement the same as we do. They have medicare not anything different than the general population. If we are sequestered and lose pay they lose the same percentage as everybody else. If insider trading is illegal for us it is the same for them. No special treatment for them and the rules are exactly the same for them as us. No special treatment for them from the IRS if we have our wages garnished or we go to jail for not paying on time they get the same treatment.

Los Angeles voters have a chance to make a statement against Citizens United and the dominance of Big Money in politics by voting Yes on Proposition C.
