• Keep Presidential Vote Counting the Same in Pennsylvania
The republicans are trying to win elections with fewer votes than the democrats by changing the way ballots are counted in Pennsylvania. Shame on you. You should try to be on the side of the people instead. And you might think about getting ready of those crazy tea party people.

  • Without some regulation of guns, let's white out the second amendment
We need more reasonable limitations on the excessive killing guns. If the NRA doesn't want to work with the government in creating those limits, then they should be given a dose of their own medicine with an extreme remedy of eliminating the constructional amendment that empowers it.

  • Reform Congressional Health Care Benefits
My health care insurance is too costly, inadequate for my needs, and poorly managed by the provider. Members of Congress have made a political fight out of Health Care Reform, because they don't have to deal with the consequences. All U. S. House Members, Senators and their dependents get free and complete health care for life, paid for with our tax dollars, even after they leave office. If Congress members had to deal with the same health care chaos and inflated medication prices as all other Americans, they would be well motivated to improve the system for everyone.

  • Stop civil liberties discrimination
To encourage all governmental and non-profit organizations to stop using violent tones or hateful tones against actions that are protected by the constitution. This includes Pro-choice, freedom of speech, firearm owners, civil servants, the right to assemble and many hateful and bitter statements of areas that should be protected by the rights of the people. Democracy is not about the masses preferred choice but the rights of the individual to be able to provide a resource for the greater community.

  • Fair Payment for Representation
Make the citizens of each state responsible for the salaries and benefits of their representatives to Congress. It is grossly unfair for citizens in the more populous and relatively wealthier states to be paying for the salaries of representatives of states with relatively low populations and wealth, especially when these representatives vote against the interests of those in the more populous/wealthier states, e.g., Hurricane Sandy relief.

  • Take a Stance Against Congressional Dysfunction: End the Hastert Rule
The Hastert Rule, which has only been applied by Republican Speakers, is anti-democratic and holds the whole country hostage to the right wing of the Republican Party.

  • Tell the Senate to Fix the Filibuster
Over the next few days, the fate of filibuster reform hangs in the balance. Let’s tell the leaders of the U.S. Senate that real reform includes a full talking filibuster. Other proposals out there don’t go far enough, and won’t change the culture of obstruction that paralyzes the Senate. Your grassroots support today is critical. Sign the petition: Tell the Senate to fix the filibuster. ~ Senator Jeff Merkley

  • 28th Ammendment
Let's put an end to Congress making laws to suit their own agenda instead of what is for the best and highest good for all concerned. I am a widow raising a child. My survivor benefits ended when she turned 16 instead of 18 (what is used to be a few years ago). Her survivor benefits will end when she is 18 instead of through college (also what it used to be a few years ago). My situation is minor compared to what others have lost due to the benefits Congress has seen fit to unduly grant themselves.
