Enough is EnoughSpeaker of the house John Boehner has done extremely little to nothing to cooperate with the American people or the President in helping it's citizens. He has shown himself to be incompetent and unwilling in this regard. I'd like to see him voted out of office.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jerry Saunders

Vote OUT any legislator/Senator that doesn't vote to end the Fiscal CliffRepublican or Democrat doesn't matter. They need to be taught that they are representing ALL Americans. This affects each and every tax paying citizen in this country. I'm tired of these politicians trying to vote to get reelected and not what's important to us everyday folks. How about not spending more than we have and taking care of the the people that need help!1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Todd C

Means test tax deductability of political contributions.I am a public school teacher. I attempt to get children of poor families mental health services on a frequent basis. It is almost impossible due to the lack of services available in the community. The support for students with mental illness inside of schools has been cut due to the neglect of congress to fully fund IDEA and NCLB. As a nation and a community we need to confront this injustice. A different way to stop a mentally ill bad guy is to get him the help he needs before he does something horrible. This starts with funding the frontline of public education. With limited funds, why should the public subsidize the political contributions of the 1%?1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Kenneth J. Holzapfel

impeach Speaker of the houseWe the American people need a Speaker of the House that is willing to work for the American people not his own personal agenda. We are all facing financial ruin if he doesn't get serious and fix the fiscal cliff.5 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Cheryl Herczeg

Avoid the Fiscal Cliff: Suspend the Majority of the Majority Rule in the U.S. House of Representa...Because of the Majority of the Majority Rule, the Speaker of the House of Representatives can block the full House of Representatives of the United States Congress from voting on legislation if the Majority Party will not win the vote. In today's world that means that John Boehner (Speaker of the House), will not allow the house to vote on existing Senate legislation that would avert the Fiscal Cliff and might pass the House of Representatives with a coalition of Democrats and Republicans, because it would not pass with just Republicans voting alone (the Majority of the Majority Rule). This rule perverts the intention of compromise and prevents our elected representatives from doing the people's business. This rule destroys the mechanism of democracy. In the past other House Speakers have presented bills despite the Majority of the Majority Rule, it's time for John Boehner to show that he is not just a Republican, but first and foremost; an American, and let the House vote to avoid the Fiscal Cliff.5 of 100 SignaturesCreated by rb jameson

Stop all LobbyingThe main reason the American people have lost the dedication of their elected officials is because WE are allowing them to take money from soemone other then us. If we are to take control of our government and make them work for us we MUST make it illegal for them to accept any money at all from outside sources. We have no way of knowing who's giving them money or how much their giving them. For all we know foriegn countrys could be setting up "straw" donations and gettin what they want.4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Les

Work for pay and benefitsOur leaders have been incompetent in working on issues that effect Americans. their work ethic should include that they cannot leave Washington until their work is finished and if they do there should be repercussions like there are for other Americans4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Sandra gomez

DISSOLVE HOUSE AND CONGRESSTo dissolve House and Congress. What have they done for all Americans during this emergency regarding the Fiscal cliff ? As far as I know, during the last four weeks they have left Washington either on Wednesday or Thursday and come back the following week on Mondays to make plans to leave again in two or three days later. They make around $ 200,000.00/year, with first class health benefits. This is the reason they do not care for the rest of Americans6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by EDGAR Hernandez

TERM LIMITS FOR CONGRESSThe President is limited to 2 terms. Many states and municipalities now have term limits for state and local offices. This reduces the likelihood of elected officials who establish themselves as a dynasty, complete with a full retinue of lobbyists, rigid agendas or positions, and an increasing inability to compromise to make good laws. The U.S. Congress needs people willing to serve, compromise, make difficult but necessary choices, then return to private life. There is no indication that "experience" from holding an office for decades produces better legislation or outcomes. The past 50 years show the opposite, particularly with regard to Congress' inability to act on a huge number of critical issues due to politicians' fear of taking a stand that might affect their upcoming election.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jenifer Callaway

2012 Election:Clear the airTo call for a complete investigation ot the 2012 election: 1) Was funding for boths side 'legal' ? 2) Was their 'voter suppression' or NOT? 3) Were the obvious attempts to 'smear' candidates ... and did those effort stay within the law? These, and other questions NEED to looked at and answered ... with an eye to - in the future - enforce existing Fed. Laws, OR to create enforsable Fed Laws and Regulations as needed.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Ed Reiman

Freedom from religion actSince our political leaders seem to be disregarding "separation of Church and State" and are attempting to impose their religious ideology on all of us I feel it is time to create a "freedom from religion" clause to our Constitution. This amendment to the US Constitution would bar any party from introducing any legislation that reflects their religious viewpoint.14 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Bill Vogel
