I don't know a petition is the right way to go , but here it is . We need to take our elections back away fromt the money CEO'S ,and all others who think most if not all would like our vote to count for what we it to . Uur elections should not be for sell .I hope it's not to much to ask our congress for . If so it's time to vote for some new people who will give us our right to VOTE

Mackinac Island has endangered its own ferry services, first by threatening some with extinction, then charging them an exorbitant fee to transport Mackinac Island's residents and visitors to and from the island, in effect, charging admission to itself.

Why do we allow rules that are the equivalent to political bribery? Why do we permit private interests to create conflicts of interest between our elected representatives and ourselves? For much too long, private special interests have been bullying our representatives into showering them with our tax dollars through contracts and subsidies regardless to our real needs. These corporations, with their war chests of money and their corporate tool candidates, threaten to oppose anyone who cares about putting We The People's interest first. Let's work to emancipate our public representatives from the lingering threat that comes from doing what's in our interests by supporting those candidates who support this pledge. During the last primary in California, two mayors were able to get propositions passed to fix their budget crises. In Wisconsin, workers' rights to negotiate were reduced. However, no one considers the healtcare and pension plans of politicians.

We should celebrate our democracy and the right to vote, a right that was won one battle at a time and that continues today. At the same time a national holiday on voting day every November would remind people to exercise their right and make it easier for all people to get to their respective polls.

It seems to me that Congress is not doing anything about the following: Corporations are behind a lot of the things that is taking our country on a dangerous path. To name a few...They do not want any regulations put on any of thier products which affects our food safety, our drinking water, our earth, etc. Also, they move thier companies to other countries so they can get cheap labor and they do not want to pay thier fair share of taxes.

Canada had a National Bank until 1974. Its government debt was low and manageable, employment and investment were stable for long term growth.

Occupy attempts to fix every little thing, instead of aiming at the heart of the problem. It dissipates it's energy and accomplishes far less than we need it to.

Order is preferable to chaos, so government is necessary. However, when inefficient government exists, the people suffer. Let's create productivity and efficiency measures that are similar to corporate measurements. The conservative agenda is about Less Government. The Pentagon is one of the most protected and surveilled buildings in the world, yet the only video from 9/11 we have is a blurry image that shows no real evidence of any airplane hitting the building. Where are all the videos?

I am tired of seeing millions thrown into the election of Govenors, Senators, Congressional Representatives and most importantly our President. If big money continues to fund all of these elections, they might as well own the country. This is not what our founding fathers of this country wanted for us.

Money has been taken from disabled veterans because we did not get letters before hand. This has cause a hardship for myself as well as 1000s of more veterans. This needs to stop and the VA needs to make sure veterans get the info before hand that way we can make informed decisions and get the proper paperwork in time to stop this wrong doing.
