• Assault Weapons Ban Must Be Voted On & Prevail
In the U.S. there have been nearly as many people killed by guns since the Newtown massacre as were murdered on 9/11. In light of Sen. Harry Reid's repulsive and timid sellout in giving up on bringing the Assault Weapons Ban to a vote in the Senate, We The People must declare to all in Washington, D.C., that Our actions, Our will, and Our collective determination to hold elected officials accountable will prevail and the Assault Weapons Ban will become the law of this land. Our land. Senators abandoned their obligation to stand up on this issue and make their votes known. Americans will now stand up and make their convictions on this issue known.

  • Tell Harry Reid Put the Assault Weapons Ban in Gun-Control Bill
Senator Diane Feinstein's Assault Weapons Ban will not be included in the Democrats Senate version of the gun-control bill. You can read about it at http://www.thedailybeast.com/cheats/2013/03/19/assault-weapons-ban-won-t-be-in-senate-gun-bill.html . Senator Diane Feinstein can introduce it as an amendment, but Harry Reid dropped the Assault Weapons Ban from being included in the bill. Sign this petition to tell Harry Reid it is time to stop listening to the NRA and listen to the voters. We want the Assault Weapons Ban included in the Bill. After Newtown and many more massacres, it is time for the politicians to put the safety of the public ahead of politics.

  • Realistic plan to do away with weapons of mass murder
What's a realistic way that will actually cut down the number of weapons of mass murder? A ban hasn't passed, and current owners would be exempt. Taking away guns from current owners is a non-starter! BUT Universal registration, annual excise tax, and buy-back are workable, realistic, and cost-effective. The tax can pay to make the policy work. It will take time, but it can be implemented.

  • All IL Governors, House and Members, other state governors, house and senate members, and US Pres...
My Petition is about a national and state gun laws where all gun owners must buy and have on hand an insurance policy where in order to buy and have a gun, you must have insurance to have this gun, or you will have the gun taken away from you. This law would be good because we are sick and tired of these gun crimes where college students, women, children, single people, families, and anyone who gets shot would be able able to sue the gun owners who shot them for gun crimes that they did.

  • Governor Quin, State House and Senate members please pass
My petition is about the taxing of gun sales onsite, online gun sales, gun show purchases with tax of $25.00 per gun purchase. This gun tax would help get the state revenue and help get it out of debt. This would also help the state keep track of how many gun sales in the state.

  • Require a 100% background check to purchase a gun.
In view of recent mass shootings it is important that only responsible law abiding citizens be allowed to purchase guns in the State of Florida. To help achieve this goal, no gun sale will take place without a background check of the prospective purchaser. The background check will include criminal activity and mental stability checks. Failure to satisfy these checks will result in no gun sale.

  • Gun Control
Common sense gun control in Florida would enhance our reputation as a desirable state. Sandy Hook left an indelible need for universal background checks of buyers at gun shows, straw buyers and traffickers. Automatic weapons and magazines holding more than ten rounds should not be on our streets. The time has come to say, "Enough is enough!" and stop living in fear.

  • Ask Senator Ayotte to Support Universal Background Checks
New Hampshire ranks among the states with the weakest gun violence prevention laws in the country. But the majority of Granite State residents support commonsense gun safety laws to keep dangerous firearms out of the hands of criminals and the mentally ill. 9 in 10 New Hampshire residents support closing the "gun show loophole" by requiring background checks for all firearm sales—including private sales and transfers. But rather than standing with her constituents, Senator Kelly Ayotte is siding with tea-party radicals and the extreme NRA gun rights lobby by rejecting legislation in Congress to require universal background checks. Please sign our petition - and let Senator Ayotte know that you stand with mainstream New Hampshire citizens in supporting universal background checks and other commonsense solutions to prevent gun violence in our communities.
