Corona Virus pandemic requires that the public receive consistent, vital, life-saving & entirely trustworthy medical guidance & prevention strategies, delivered by non-partisan credentialed medical professional(s). Such a requirement would protect the public from a politician's, i.e Trump, promulgation of distortions & dishonest public statements.

Because I am a pediatrician and take care of some of our most vulnerable members of society, and because I have a genetic disease that puts me at high risk . Furthermore, I am a department Chairman at a major hospital and I see the illness and death first hand .

If the Governors of this Great Nation do not step forward and collectively move away from the criminal policymaking of the federal administration, millions and millions of Americans will die. If the Feds “reopen the economy”, our country will experience civil decay and infrastructural implosion unlike anything the average American could fathom (even with the help of movies). If our hospitals are overrun with patients, health staff will die or quit. If our health staff dies or quits, there will be no health care for any of us! The value of the dollar will fail and we will have no economy. Please save us while we still have a fighting chance.

Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis President James Bullard is warning that the U.S. could face a 30% unemployment rate and an unprecedented 50% drop in gross domestic product because of shutdowns to contain the coronavirus. Both Republicans and Democrats agree that massive government support is needed. Congress is expected to pass an economic stimulus package worth $2 trillion, but they are split on where the money should go. Corporate bailouts or worker protections? Trump and Congressional Republicans are for corporate bailouts. They want a $500 billion slush fund that would give the president unprecedented power to bail out his favorite corporations, with no limits to how firms could use the money and no protections for their workers from layoffs. The bill earmarks $50 billion for airlines, $10 billion for airports, and $3 billion for the petroleum reserve. Trump could even direct cash to his own hotels—and won’t deny he has plans to do so. We must stop this nefarious attempt to exploit the crisis for the benefit of corporations at the expense of the American people. We must block any action in Congress that would increase inequality or make us more vulnerable to future disasters. As we act to address the current pandemic, we must prepare for additional climate-fueled crises, as the severity and frequency of storms, fires and droughts continues to ramp up. Bernie’s plan is aligned with the “5 Principles for Just COVID-19 Relief and Stimulus,” as put forward by over 300 environmental, justice, labor, and movement organizations: (1) Health is the top priority, for all people, with no exceptions; (2) Provide economic relief directly to the people; (3) Rescue workers and communities, not corporate executives; (4) Make a down payment on a regenerative economy, while preventing future crises; and, (5) Protect our democratic process while protecting each other.

In the mist of a Pandemic, it is criminal that all Americans don't have access to face masks, testing and respirators. Congress should not be debating economic stimulus packages while Americans are dying for lack of basic protection, testing and breathing devices.

Many of us are the only providers for our families. Many of us are sole-proprietors and can’t even qualify for unemployment benefits. We have to furnish our own medical insurance, and if we can not run our business we cannot pay for our medical expenses either. We are in the worst possible situation here. Madam Speaker, we are so proud of what you are trying to do for America. Please, do not leave small businesses in the lurch. When all of this is over who will cut your hair, who will launder your clothes, who will treat your aches and pains and soothe your worries? People like us. Please, remember us when you are fighting for the Disaster Relief measures on the house floor and in Senate.

Abortion care is a time-sensitive medical procedure that cannot be significantly delayed without profound consequences. As part of the continuum of pregnancy care, abortion is provided for almost one in five pregnancies in the United States. Ohioans are continuing to rely on their trusted community abortion providers during the coronavirus crisis, and Ohio’s elected officials should not stand between patients and their doctors. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, along with several other medical organizations, issued a statement calling abortion "...an essential component of comprehensive health care" and that the "...consequences of being unable to obtain an abortion profoundly impact a person’s life, health, and well-being." Tell the attorney general to stop playing political games with the reproductive health care of Ohioans.

This petition is important to encourage the president to act on his own suggestion. Especially medical prisoners need to be released so they can get the care they need to prevent coronavirus and for the medical challenges that sent them to specialized medical facilities. And to free prison resources to be used where needed.

We are in a pandemic crisis and the state could have desperately used that money for ventilators, healthcare resources and costs and for relief to the many citizens impacted by our state economy stalled and even collapsing.

About 25% of the Chernobyl miners died as a result of radiation poisoning. Is America willing to endanger the “essential workers” who are making it possible for the rest of us to have some semblance of normalcy as we shelter in place? Part of any relief effort must include hazard pay and protective gear for them, and assistance with medical bills if they contract the illness.

Broadcasting these events live is a public health risk. Trump is feeding his viewers with disinformation and misinformation. It is impossible to fact-check this information in real time, and viewers are likely to engage in dangerous, risky behaviors if they listen only to Trump's public statements. He is also using this platform to campaign for reelection by promoting his "brand" as someone who stands up to the news media. By broadcasting these segments, you are feeding into an unhealthy dynamic in which Trump is able to further undermine trust in the news media. By carrying these briefings live, you are complicit in spreading dangerous lies and division: both are killing us.

As a group, the working class of Stockton have been financially devastated by the critical and necessary measures put in place to slow the spread of COVID-19. Though the federal or state government may eventually provide relief, the immediate conservation of our limited financial resources is necessary for our own and our family's health and well-being. Rentors, Leasors, banks and other relevant institutions can, as a class, seek their own relief; the state and federal government is much more responsive and historically more likely to act on their behalf. We must protect our limited cash flow immediately. What happens in May when I owe 2 months rent? Or June when I owe 3? I won't be evicted now because they don't want me on the streets but will they evict me then? The rent needs to be forgiven while I CANT WORK. What happens when the businesses who can't reopen fail and millions are looking for work? Rent and Mortgage moratorium (no rent or mortgage collection), forgiveness (you will never owe it), deferment (interest or payments are frozen and moved forward) are absolutely necessary to our current health and well being, and our economic future.
