The ability to unleash nuclear weapons is the ability to initiate a causal reaction in which billions of people could die, one that would threaten the very existence of the world as we know it. The initial blasts would kill indiscriminately, and the fallout from radiation would kill infinitely more. We need only look to our own history for the lesson of these weapons: they possess far greater power than any man should ever yield. The wounds of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki are far from healed, their scars a eulogy for this very day. Moreover, we are not talking about any man - we are talking about Donald J. Trump: a man who has demonstrated, with stunning consistency, a complete and total shutdown of critical thinking capacities. A bipartisan team of mental health professionals recently deemed his behavior "paranoid" and "delusional" (1). Even members of his own party have expressed their concern for his inability to faithfully execute the duties of the office of the Presidency. At the same time, the North Korean threat has increased significantly. In addition to the devastation they would bring to our friends and families in South Korea, their capabilities now reportedly include striking the United States at home. The President's foolish and unnecessary escalation of tensions on the Korean peninsula speaks volumes to his failure to comprehend the magnitude of our times. We have placed the greatest existential threat the human race has ever known in the hands of a man unfit to serve. Now, more than ever, we need strength from the rest of our elected officials, that they may stand tall for the American People - and in doing so, commit themselves to the defense of life itself. Let us honor our veterans and the People of Nagasaki and Hiroshima on this somber day; let us learn the lessons of our past and pledge to protect humanity from the atrocities of nuclear war. We demand that Congress execute an emergency measure to curtail the President's access to any and all nuclear weaponry or other weapons of mass destruction. At this point, if a company is sponsoring Sean Hannity's show, they are essentially supporting a Trump propaganda operation. It needs to stop. Sean Hannity has a long record of right-wing chicanery, lies, and vitriol. But his program has morphed into something more dangerous than just partisan hackery -- he’s been exposed as a full-blown propagandist who conspires with the Trump administration to spread fabricated stories, smear detractors, and undercut the rule of law. 21st Century Fox (Fox News' parent company) won't hold him accountable. So, there are two options: 1) Do nothing; or 2) Take action to hold Hannity accountable. Spreading misinformation is Hannity's business model, and now he’s doing it on behalf of the Trump administration. Recently, CNN hosts Alisyn Camerota and Chris Cuomo invited Dan Stein of the Federation for American Immigration Reform to appear on their morning show to argue in favor of the GOP's new bill to cut immigration to the US by half. The Southern Poverty Law Center has labeled Stein's organization a "Hate Group" saying their "leaders have ties to white supremacist groups and eugenicists and have made many racist statements. Its advertisements have been rejected because of racist content. FAIR's founder, John Tanton, has expressed his wish that America remain a majority-white population: a goal to be achieved, presumably, by limiting the number of nonwhites who enter the country." According to SPLC documents, Stein has complained that today's immigrants are engaged in "competitive breeding" to diminish the America's white majority. He also served as editorial adviser for The Social Contract, a nativist hate journal. In an interview with Tucker Carlson in 1997, Stein stated, "Should we be subsidizing people with low IQs to have as many children as possible, and not subsidizing those with high ones?" Donald Trump has released his plan to slash legal immigration, which requires immigrants to speak English, among other conditions. But English skills have nothing to do with whether an immigrant should enter and live in America--under this condition, Trump's grandfather would have been barred from our country.(1) And Trump should be one to talk. His English skills are so problematic, going by his frequent incoherent, garbled sentences.(2) That's why you should sign this petition to have Trump accept my challenge to a Spelling Bee. The Statue of Liberty is a symbol of hope, perseverance, and compassion. But Stephen Miller, an advisor to President Donald Trump, went on a bizarre rant about immigration and the Statue of Liberty. Miller doesn't seem to think the poem, The New Colossus by Emma Lazarus, matters much even though it was written as part of a fundraiser for the Statue of Liberty. The fact that it was officially added as part of the Statue of Liberty years later seems to really bother Miller. I wonder if he's equally bothered by the Bill of Rights or Amendments to the Constitution since they were added later? Or maybe he understands social progress means we must constantly strive to use our positions of privilege and good fortune to help those in need. That's what good leaders should do. The poem says in part: "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!" The Statue of Liberty is a symbol of America's promise for a better future for everyone. Stephen Miller is an official advisor in the White House. President Trump should be ashamed at any policies and rhetoric to manufacture walls of fear and division where we have opportunities to continue building bridges to be a global leader for peace and prosperity for all.

United States citizens deserve to have the support of their elected officials in protecting their privacy. As it stands today, everything you type, search, download, view, send and receive online is stored by your internet service provider. In March of 2017, 265 Republican Congressman were each paid an average of $47,908.62 by ISP's to vote "yes" in the matter of repealing internet privacy laws. The vote passed and ISP's now have the ability to sell all of your online information to whoever they please. This is a profound violation of your privacy and rights as a human being. Sign the petition if you support holding Washington accountable for selling out it's citizens. All of the money raised will go towards the purchase of every congressman/woman's private browsing data as well as their immediate family. If we are able to raise enough money to purchase the data, all of the findings will be made public.
