Approximately 173,000 to 175,000 individuals would lose their subsidized housing if this bill passes into law. Those effected would include, but not be limited to: 1. Elderly poverty level citizens; 2. Persons, of various ages, who have a physical handicap; 3. Persons, of various ages, who are infirm; 4. Persons, of various ages, who have severe, debilitating illnesses; 5. Retirees 6. Veterans 7. Children Just to name a few. If this bill passes into law, there will no doubt be other states of the union who will follow suit. Help us stop this miscreant legislation from becoming law.

The special tax laws violate the 1st amendment,. the special laws relieve RO's from filing tax returns and all transparency. Since a RO doesn't even have to file for this designation there is no way to know how many exist or if money is being collected by or used to fund terrorist organizations. All religious organizations should register as regular 501(c)(3) non profits if they want to avoid paying taxes. There must be transparency.

As a veterinarian, I have seen first-hand how medical cannabis benefits animals in ways conventional Western medicine cannot. Currently, veterinarians are being threatened with disciplinary action if they have "involvement in the treatment of an animal with marijuana or hemp." Let's allow veterinarians to do what they are trained to do- provide recommendations for the safe and effective treatment of pets.

Dear Governor Raimondo, In 2002 and 2004 Rhode Island passed two new laws guaranteeing doctors the freedom to treat Lyme disease as they clinically see fit as long as it is well documented. RI GL § 5-37.5-4. In addition, insurance payments for these treatments shall not be denied “because such treatment may be characterized as unproven, experimental, or investigational in nature.” RI GL 27-18/29/20 “Mandatory coverage for certain Lyme disease treatments.” However, these lawfully enacted rights and freedoms have been purposefully obscured, denied, and totally disregarded since their enactment. This failure to regard the law has caused truly unmeasurable amounts of physical, financial, emotional and spiritual pain and suffering for many citizens in the state of Rhode Island. Total individual financial burdens in our state reach well into the millions of dollars, expenses paid out of pocket for treatments and medicines denied and “forbidden”. Doctors continue to live in fear, with many refusing any Lyme patient, and others working “under the radar”. We ask that you insure enforcement of our Lyme laws, and thereby fully establish our rights and freedoms for competent, compassionate and fear free care for the tick borne diseases in Rhode Island. There is a lot of negative publicity about President Obama's Speaking fees. The President could lead us by example by donating to the ACLU, NAACP LDF, SPLC, and Planned Parenthood. Other public figures should do the same with their personal millions of dollars. There are many Americans who never see $400,000 in their lifetimes. Use this money for the public good.
