• Make Rodger Goodell resign as NFL commissioner
This is about how Rodger Goodell is ruining football. The NFL isn't the NFL anymore. Not to mention the man has double standards. It's okay for him to be ignorant to a situation such as a video being in his office but he has no knowledge, yet Sean Payton had nothing to do with the bounty scandal in New Orleans and still got suspended a year for ignorance. Now it's okay for him to make mistakes yet not be punished but these players he is sworn to serve and protect safety wise he has no problem handing out punishments for all sorts of different things. Where is the consistency?

  • Eliminate Georgia's Law of "False Alarm Reduction Program"
This is about the law which was created few years back "False Alarm Reduction Program" . The sad thing is most citizen like me doesn't even aware of such a law. And the government is totally taking advantage of this. For instance, I was fine a $225, a fine of $150 and late fee. And I had no clue. How can you blame the citizen to keep up all these unnecessary laws/rules and regulations when people are working day and night to bring food to the table and taking care of their family. When will the government stop ripping off people. We already pay enough taxes. This Law of Georgia " False Alarm Reduction Program" should be eliminated.

  • Magnolia Street Speed Humps
It is not uncommon daily for one to witness forty plus vehicles accelerating to speeds three times the legal posted speed limit of 25MPH in this area. The small residential street is used as a pipe line between the other two major streets feeding Murrieta Valley High School. Children walk down this two lane street every afternoon in large groups laughing and conversing with a false sense of security. This petition has been created in hopes the City of Murrieta will take pride in its ability to protect these children by creating "safe zones" within residential streets just a few hundred feet of their schools.

  • De-annexation of 109 Homes in Sharpstown 2
City Councilman Laster has received ONLY 2 requests for de-annexation, TWO, not 109, only 2. Laster has forwarded 2 requests to the City Planning office which would handle de-annexation & there is some very preliminary discussion. De-annexation is a city decision & the process, if decided, would be for the annexed property owners to vote, stay annexed or be de-annexed. Yes, I know we didn't vote to be annexed but that's the process.

  • Sign the petition: Tell Larry Pressler to drop out
A new SurveyUSA poll in South Dakota shows Democrats have a strong chance to win a U.S. Senate seat that they’ve long since given up on—but only if centrist independent candidate Larry Pressler drops out. This seat is currently held by Democratic Sen. Tim Johnson, who’s retiring. A Democratic loss here is a gain for the GOP—putting them one step closer to taking a majority in the Senate. Pressler is a former Republican senator who left office 20 years ago. Since then, he’s moved pretty far to the left of the Republican Party—he endorsed Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012—and he’s splitting the vote with Democratic candidate Rick Weiland. Just look at the poll numbers: SurveyUSA SD-Sen poll (with Pressler): - Republican Mike Rounds 39 - Democrat Rick Weiland 28 - Independent Larry Pressler 25 SurveyUSA SD-Sen poll (without Pressler): - Republican Mike Rounds 44 - Democrat Rick Weiland 42 Weiland is running a real campaign and has $450,000 in the bank, compared to $750,000 for Rounds. Pressler has a tenth of Weiland’s funds and is relying almost entirely on earned media and residual recognition from his previous time in the Senate. Simply put: This is a sure-fire GOP win if Pressler stays in, and a toss-up if he drops out. Sign the petition to independent Larry Pressler: Drop out and support Democrat Rick Weiland.

  • Save Club Sports!
With three Libraries at the University, including 2 on the uptown campus, it has been decided that there was a need for an athletic study area limited to only athletes. By doing this they had to tear down the wrestling room where various club sports hold practice every night of the week. The compensation given to these clubs was a small mat room in the basement of the PE building. This room does not have enough room for a single wrestling match (2 people) no less a practice where up to 40 or even 60 students attend.

  • Miami Springs Pool Petition
The current pool proposal only has 4 lanes. That will kill competitive swimming for the next 50 years. Plus, the city is planning to add an unneeded $623,000 building for recreation and rentals. We suggest the city scrap the plans for the extra building and make the pool a full 8 lanes. Further, the new pool design includes a significantly larger deck which adds to the cost of the new construction. We recommend a smaller deck, no extra building, and a full 8 lanes for swimming.

  • Rename U.S. Constitution Day to Stephen Colbert Day
The general public is sadly unaware that September 17th is officially Constitution Day. Through his humorous "truthiness" and widespread media outreach, Dr. Stephen Colbert is the ideal spokesperson for this historic day. Every signature on this petition helps to bring attention to the Constitution therefore, accomplishing our goal.
