With our neighboring city/towns utilizing Facebook as a go to source, Fitchburg remains a "secrete society". Where no one has open informational access to our displaced animals. I have created this petition because of a very painful experience that changed my life. A dog expressing dangerous aggressive behavior was brought into the now closed city shelter, that someone was looking for him. I believe if Fitchburg had a policy of open social media, that dog would have been claimed. The system failed with a breakdown in communication and a tragic set of events occurred. Join me in asking that the city change it's policy. Ask for an open access Fitchburg Animal Control Facebook page be created and utilized with every animal in it's care. Update the city official web site with current animal related information; when are dog licenses due, what the feline policy is, how to obtain an application for a kennel license and the email direct to animal control. Publish our adoptable animals on Petfinder. These changes will save lives, reunite pets quicker and get animals adopted faster. It will keep residents informed of local-state laws. Bringing peace of mind our city is full disclosure.

The City of Glen Cove is not listening to the taxpayers and community of Glen Cove who want balanced development - not oversized high density apartment buildings which are turning Glen Cove into Queens. This Development will make driving on Glen Cove Avenue a nightmare.

On October 29th 2013 our children was taken into CPS custody because of Shskeitha's marijuana use . Since then we have done EVERYTHING that CPS asked us to Shakeitha (mother) has been in therapy since since January 2014 and on phyicatic medication since April 2014 and she graduated from a class for mental health / substance abuse and how to control your health with out non-prescription medication We both graduated a parenting class for parents with mental health children. Today September 22nd 2014 CPS willingly went into court and lied in order not to return our children, the thing is we have only tested positive one time in October 2013 and EVERY TEST since has been CLEAN. We need your help please sign this petition and tell CPS and Judge Lisa Daniels Flores to return the Meeks children back home with their parents.

Hundreds of people shopped on wayfair.com and received a promotional code for $50 off an order of $50 or more. The orders were placed, Christmas and birthday presents on the way, credit cards charged only to be told one thing and for them to do another. Wayfair.com went back on their promise and cancelled out orders. Said the code was invalid when it worked when we all "checked out". This petition is our stand to say if you're going to honor some orders, honor all!

It feels it's being managed by people whom do not want to be in the soap business, but these shows are a staple in American television as was "Guiding Light" and "As The World Turns" (the 1st & 2nd American TV programs ever which were cancelled in 2009 & 2010 respectively). They need to either hire Ed Scott as Executive Producer and Kay Alden as Headwriter (the team that brought the show to #1 back in 1989) or sell both shows to OWN!

This fight has not ended! Last year Marilyn Louie's old newsstand was replaced by a woefully inadequate space to sell anything. The new stand provides only enough space to place 20 newspapers, about a 40% size reduction. Though there was tremendous community and political outcry, the DOT went ahead with their plans. Once again, Wall Street is going all-out to block the work of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), the new agency created to bring basic standards of fairness and transparency to the banking and lending markets. And once again, the CFPB needs to hear a strong expression of public encouragement and support.

This is about how Rodger Goodell is ruining football. The NFL isn't the NFL anymore. Not to mention the man has double standards. It's okay for him to be ignorant to a situation such as a video being in his office but he has no knowledge, yet Sean Payton had nothing to do with the bounty scandal in New Orleans and still got suspended a year for ignorance. Now it's okay for him to make mistakes yet not be punished but these players he is sworn to serve and protect safety wise he has no problem handing out punishments for all sorts of different things. Where is the consistency?

This is about the law which was created few years back "False Alarm Reduction Program" . The sad thing is most citizen like me doesn't even aware of such a law. And the government is totally taking advantage of this. For instance, I was fine a $225, a fine of $150 and late fee. And I had no clue. How can you blame the citizen to keep up all these unnecessary laws/rules and regulations when people are working day and night to bring food to the table and taking care of their family. When will the government stop ripping off people. We already pay enough taxes. This Law of Georgia " False Alarm Reduction Program" should be eliminated.
