  • Remove marijuana from the Federal Schedule 1 in 2015!
Of all the mistakes in the failed drug war, the obsessive and overzealous enforcement of arcane marijuana regulations has no doubt had the worst effect on our society. We need to demand our lawmakers commit THIS YEAR in the mid term elections where the issues aren't buried in Presidential politics, to removing marijuana from the Schedule 1 list, better yet remove it completely from the entire substance control list. I went to prison for a few joints back in the early 1970's and at the time I was an honor student, nationally ranked athlete and editor of the campus sports page. That record has hounded me throughout the years, and there are millions more like me, whose lifetime potential was robbed by these arcane laws. And that can only hurt society as a whole. We can't get that back, but we can make certain the leaders of the future are not saddled with the same obstacles by demanding our lawmakers take responsibility as one of their first acts of 2015, when the 114th Congress is seated.

  • Stop Domestic Terrorism
The persistent threat by domestic terrorists, like Cliven Bundy and his armed supporters, to the welfare of our country and our people should not be tolerated. They should be prosecuted as the traitors and terrorists they are.

  • Get the Working Families Party to Nominate another candidate for governor of New York in 2014.
Because this is an issue that affects all New Yorkers. Many people hate Andrew Cuomo's policies and lack of keeping campaign promises. Yet we do not want to have a GOP candidate in office.

  • Artists’ Pay for Radio Play
When a song is played on terrestrial radio, the musicians and performers receive no compensation whatsoever. They also are denied royalties payment from other countries that DO compensate performers. It is time we recognize the value of music creators.

  • Child Protective Services: A Broken System
Child Protective Services has a history of causing harm to families leaving children vulnerable to potential dangers. They fail to thoroughly investigate claims and provide assistance to families seeking help. CPS violated my Constitutional and Patental Rights after requesting services for my daughter's psychological welfare. This resulted with the supervisor granting my daughter permission to leave the state to reside with her father. Her father has had no relationship with her since the age of three. She is now seventeen years of age. This is another example of Their broken system. Please join me in taking a stand for parents that parent and do not abuse.

  • WGBH & FCC: Restore full-time music on WGBH-FM Boston's high power public radio station!
Since 1951, WGBH Boston's high-power 89.7 FM has been a regional beacon for good music, soliciting donations on that basis. Five years ago classical was exiled to a weak suburban station with dumbed-down programming, firing its leading classical host, Richard Kniseley - and folk and blues were dropped entirely - in order to duplicate the other Boston NPR station's news/talk format in the daytime. Two years ago, its widely-popular Jazz with Eric in the Evening was canceled during the week and isolated to weekends, and its jazz archivist, producer and host Steve Schwartz fired, so that the station could replay its daytime talk shows at night. If WGBH won't go back to its original mission of providing the best music on the most powerful transmitter in New England, it should step aside and let someone else do so.

We're starting a revolution. Gone are the days when people risk being made fun of for doing varial flips. Too many feelings are hurt and too many potential professional skateboarders are turned away. It's time to end varial flip discrimination once and for all.
