• Reform Grenada west indies cannabis laws!
The economical and medical benefits of marijuana exceeds any negative it might have on the individual or the society by far. Too much taxpayers money is wasted in Grenada on sending people to jail for a spliff. It's time to change that, legalize now!

  • Support Your Local Businesses
I called the SWF office to get information about the upcoming festival and how to become a vendor. I was told and so was someone else, that someone from Brazil, IN already has the spot and has paid for 4 years in advance. So I asked when someone else might get a chance and she said "well, pretty much NEVER". I said I thought it would be nice if the local businesses got a chance before out-of-towners. We ARE the ones who bring our families to the festival and spend money and she said I had a good point and that I should bring it up to the board. So I'm gathering signatures to have in hand at that board meeting. As a local, personal business owner I believe myself and others should have the first chance to purchase booth space at the Swiss Wine Festival. It has come to my attention that certain "out of town" agencies are being allowed to reserve spots up to 4-5 years out and I personally don't think that's fair. As a local patron, I bring my family to the festival and spend money and support the community. While doing this I would like to see that I'm also supporting local businesses. If all the spaces are rented out to others when do local business owners get a chance? There should be a deadline announced in the local paper and on the radio given locals a chance and if the deadline isn't met then open it up for non-local businesses that are in line. If you agree PLEASE sign this petition so our local community has a chance to support and help the growth of the Swiss Wine Festival! Please share with family and friends also. They are the ones who support YOU and we need everyone to support US! SO please if you agree, SIGN & SHARE SHARE SHARE!!!

  • Rails-to-trails in King George, Va.
The county board needs to adopt a resolution of approval in order to have the state take the trail into the state park system. The trail is in private hands and available for use only by permit. Having it be a public trail would provide for regular maintenance and capital improvements, thereby greatly increasing its utility for public use.

  • Council President Beasley & the Irvington Town Council: Stand Up To Wall Street!
Irvington, NJ is poised to become the second city in the country, behind Richmond, CA, to tackle the foreclosure crisis and hold Wall Street banks accountable in a real way. Mayor Wayne Smith of Irvington, NJ and a majority of Town Council members have been working to implement a plan to condemn the most toxic mortgages in Irvington, reset them to fair market value at low fixed interest rates and sell the reset mortgages that back to homeowners so they can afford to stay in their homes and stop the vicious cycle of blight that currently plagues Irvington – fact, the Council voted unanimously last summer to move forward with these plans. Unfortunately, D. Bilal Beasley, the president of the Irvington Town Council, is stalling those efforts. At the most recent Town Council meeting he tabled a resolution that would put this plan in motion, despite broad support for the measure from his council colleagues and Irvington residents. Fortunately, Councilman Beasley's foot dragging can be undone with four votes. Each day that passes without action from the Irvington Town Council is another day closer to foreclosure, homelessness, and bankruptcy for hard-working Irvington residents. Homeowners in Irvington and across the country need courageous leaders willing to stand with them against Wall Street! Council President Beasley & the Irvington Town Council needs to stop playing politics, take a stand against Wall Street’s predatory and fraudulent mortgages and act courageously to save Irvington’s future!

  • Make law enforcement in Oklahoma wear cameras to be held accountable
Over the past years we have seen increasingly violent police brutality and also law enforcement trying to violate personal rights! Please sign this petition to let Gov. Mary Fallen that we will not have our rights violated anymore. This has worked in California by decreasing numbers of complaints on officers to around 60 %. This should be introduced in Oklahoma immediately.

  • Increase the Speed Limit on CR5 in Elbert County Colorado
Our neighborhood has done enough to support the revenue for the Sheriff's office. We appreciate their work and time to keep us safe but it is time to fill in the "watering hole" and get the speed limit changed to a safe and appropriate 45mph on CR5!

  • Disabled ex spouses should not face garnishment for Ex's debt
I've been the victim of the US Dept of Education for over 14 years and have been discharged temporarily because of my disabilities three times but they continue to transfer it over to another creditor instead of pursuing my ex husband who is very gainfully employed who's wife refuses he pay his portion on the joint consolidation. We jointly consolidated as newly weds and I subsequently suffered a disabling car accident, a second stroke, heart attack, open heart surgery, tumors, etc. I also have 10 year old special needs twins and am an only living parent-one is autistic. I must provide for us all while he enjoys suitable employment in a position my brother promoted him to. The government has given me the run around, I've contacted senators, aclu, congress, ombudsman and the attorney General. I'm desperate and being told that I am responsible for his portion because I signed the joint consolidation (not as a primary) and was sent a letter from the treasury informing me that I may face a garnishment of up to 15% monthly and further tax offsets. They informed me that they didn't have to pursue my ex husband because I signed first.
