This petition is started to help secure a public indoor play area with a local location for parents or caregivers of young children. While Duvall has done an outstanding job securing public outdoor opportunities for young children to play, those options are extremely limited during bad weather-related months. Gross motor play has been determined to help children grow physically and cognitively and is a vital and important part of a child's development. Genetically engineered foods are untested, unlabeled and potentially unsafe. Already, more than 60 countries around the world use labels to inform their citizens if their food has been genetically modified in a laboratory. It's time that we share that basic right. If the same companies can label foods containing GMOs in Russia, China and South Africa, surely they can label food here in Massachusetts as well. Yelp harms millions of small businesses everyday because of a biased review system that unfairly filters out reviews without any reason. Apple's decision to use them for their Map service misleads customers and businesses are harmed because they can't ever improve their Yelp rating despite having legitimate reviews. I have personally been affected by this issue because my business has rated a 1 star on Yelp for several years with only 1 review. Despite the fact that we are 4/5 stars on sites like Google, Dex Knows, and Angie's List. Yelp constantly filters all incoming reviews both good and bad. As a result my business has suffered because Apple relies on Yelp for Apple Maps resulting in an unfair assessment of my business. By including both filtered and unfiltered reviews in the overall score would give a more fair rating and help thousands of other small business owners out there struggling to deal with unfair Yelp reviews.

House Bill 1507 is what ALEC and the Koch brothers call a “Paycheck Protection” bill. As stated by the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO, "The facts are clear, even though you won’t hear them in the commercials that the Koch brothers are financing. Automatic payroll deduction of dues is not mandated by any law, rather it is bargained for during contract negotiations. This deduction does not cost taxpayers money. Unions already agreed to reimburse the state for costs associated with deductions of PAC funds, but according to the [Commonwealth] of Pennsylvania, there is no measurable cost to be reimbursed." This bill does not address any real and substantive issue. Therefore, it is nothing more than political theater and a thinly veiled attack on Pennsylvania's workers.
