• Deregulation of Electricity in California
Since 1998 deregulated electricity has become a productive market in the US offering savings to consumers in numerous states. Many states have now safely opened their markets. These states provide an effective and efficient model for California. In the 16 year since the federal order, California has allowed the process to stagnate which has forced its consumer to pay premium rates for electricity.

  • Stop the NCAA Rule Update on Defensive Player Substitutions
Schools that run hurry-up offenses, while untraditional and often thought of as fads, should not be penalized for their style of play. They are being unfairly targeted by traditional teams that aren't physically prepared for the pace that these teams demand of their opponents.

  • DC Affordable Homeownership Tour
In the District of Columbia ADU ownership has been an amazing tool for many, but in recent years things such as extremely long resale restriction periods and sky rocketing common fees have turned a path to the American Dream into a corridor of hardship. We want our elected officials to see first hand how their policies effects the Districts constituents both good and bad.

  • Perma-ban on Galestia
Galestia is a huge menace on the World of Warcraft server Wrymrest Accord. She cause drama with people and when someone puts her on ignore, she goes to another character and contacts the person again giving them more troubles. Just today she was trying to get my friend's guild Steelpaw Shadoin shut down because she gave the full guild drama and as a whole they put her on ignore. She then rolled up a panda to put in the guild and outed herself. When they kicked her from the guild, she said she was going to take "legal actions" on a fictional guild of walking bears. She goes around and trolls people and doesn't like the outcome of it.

  • US Olympic Committee: Save the Winter Olympics, Reject BP's Sponsorship
If you've tuned into the Winter Olympics this year, chances are you've been inundated with BP commercials touting its sponsorship of Team USA in Sochi. But, while BP is funneling money to Team USA, they're simultaneously threatening the future of the winter games by their massive fueling of climate change. In fact, BP can count itself among 90 companies that have caused two-thirds of man-made global warming. In 2012, the International Olympic Committee released a "Sustainability Through Sport" report recognizing the threat climate change poses to the Winter Olympics and calling for the world to reduce carbon emissions. And with only 6 of the 19 past Winter Olympic host cities estimated to be cold enough to host the games by 2100, you can understand why. Tell the US Olympic Committee: it's time to stand up for the future of the Winter Games by rejecting BP as a Team USA sponsor. Please sign and share the petition today.

  • Joe Heck: No Mount Ronald Reagan
Ronald Reagan was a disaster for Nevada. In 1980, 19,000 were without work. Just three years later, 59,000 were unemployed. In the same period, median household income dropped by $1,200 nationally. This bill does nothing to bring good jobs back or repair the aging infrastructure. It's time to stop pandering to special interests and start working on solutions. Working people in Nevada are still dealing with the consequences of deregulation and trickle down economics. Instead of pandering, he should be working to undo the damage. Only 14 presidents have had mountains named after them. This is about carving a political ideology into the landscape. It's just not appropriate. Joe Heck needs to stop taking his orders from Grover Norquist and start listening to his constituents.

  • Watching the Olympics Live Stream or with Event Replay on the NBC Website and App Should Be Acces...
Watching the Olympics as a child inspired me to become an athlete and it gave me hope for the world. In trying to watch the Sochi Olympics, I have discovered that if you just have internet, your viewing experience is limited to overly commentated, commercial-strewn highlight videos. Only if you have a cable subscription , can you access the live streaming or full replays that the NBC website and App offer. If this technology exists then everybody should have access to it. The Olympics are for all.

  • Whole Foods just fired a mom for the worst reason
Whole Foods--a company that thrives on its progressive image--just fired a woman for taking care of her special needs child during a snow storm. But it messed with the wrong mom. When Rhiannon Broschat told her co-workers what happened, they walked off the job with her to strike in protest. Now it's up to us to have their back and demand Whole Foods give Rhiannon her job back and change its policies so no employee has to choose between a sick child and a paycheck. As Rhiannon fearlessly told reporters, "I'm not going to choose my job over my son." But right now, that choice is costing her family the income they depend on. Rhiannon's story has been all over the news in Chicago, but still, Whole Foods has refused to back down. Tomorrow, supporters in Chicago are planning a huge protest. If we all speak out right now, as the protest plans are hitting the news, we'll create a media firestorm in the national press and convince them to do the right thing--or face a publicity nightmare. Will you join Rhiannon in demanding Whole Foods reverse its decision to fire her and change its policy so that workers never have to choose between taking a sick day and losing a job?
