This bill will benefit farmers and small businesses in Rhode Island, revitalizing the state's dairy industry. Pasteurization laws favor large, industrialized dairy operations and squeeze out small farmers. When farmers have the right to sell unprocessed milk to consumers, they can make a decent living, even with small herds. This bill will also provide consumers the option to purchase raw milk in Rhode Island. This is a fight for food freedom, the right to choose the food we consume. *CURRENT SITUATION FOR RAW MILK SALES* Retail sales are legal in 10 states On-farm sales are legal in 15 states Herdshares are legal in 4 states There is no law on herdshares in 6 states Pet food sales are legal in 4 states, implying that human consumption is feasible Raw milk sales are illegal in 11 states and the District of Columbia Please, personally, contact your representatives and tell them you want raw milk legalized in Rhode Island! We see a high rate of accidents and damage related to people attempting to operate vehicles they have never been trained how to drive. Numerous occasions of large RV changing lanes causing accidents they were not directly involved in, so the report doesn't count them as the cause. Large RV trailers hung in driveways from driver not understanding clearances. If it's over a boat trailer it should be classified as requiring commercial type of license to operate/pull.

Every year in Astoria and at Bonneville Dam, innocent sea lions are hazed, branded, tortured and killed for the simple act of eating. The acts are immoral, unethical and inflict severe pain and suffering on the sea lions. The dam itself, pollution and over-fishing are the real issues which affect the fish population, NOT sea lions.

Many Maryland residents celebrate Norooz as part of their heritage and background. For those of us who do, it means taking a day off at work or having an "unexcused absence" at school.

Having the day off from work, the day your Angel baby was born. I have never worked this day. Not everyone understands this special day. It should be off, (with pay) for the parents to visit their childs grave and grieve.

I am a vegan and I have been affected emotionally and spiritually by the horrible abuse of animals for the sake of food. We have so many other sources of protein that's healthy and harmless to living souls. My request is on a serious level of growth, we will quickly grow in farming and agriculture if we choose the road of veganism.
