• HARP3
The White House petition to expand HARP 3.0 #MyRefi is currently up on the White House website and the petition needs to reach 100,000 signatures before there is a response from the President of the United States. HARP 3.0 has not yet become a reality, which has frustrated many homeowners who are still currently struggling to make their mortgage payments and cannot do anything about it. Homeowners that are still “underwater” on their property and/or make less income than before the recession hit cannot qualify for a new mortgage. Currently, if you refinanced using the HARP program before, you cannot use it again or if your loan was endorsed by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac on or after June 1st, 2009 you cannot take advantage of the program at all. HARP 3.0 would possibly revamp those provisions.

  • Congressman Grimm, Support Common Sense Gun Laws
Staten Islanders and Brooklynites in CD 11 call upon Michael Grimm to continue in the direction of ending gun violence, by supporting federal legislative priorities: background checks, ban on assault weapons and high capacity magazines. He has already signed on to a bipartisan bill increasing penalties and law enforcement for gun trafficking, which is a great start!

  • Mayor Talabisco, save our way of life.
I live in Mainlands 4, a retirement community, next to a proposed development that will add over 1,000 residents in a narrow slice of land with only 1 point of ingress and egress. This will create extremely dangerous conditions on the ONLY road leading into and out of the development. There are no sidewalks and the 2 lane street was not designed for an additional 1,000+ vehicles a day. Most of you are aware of how vehemently this development has been opposed from the beginning. We were lied to by past politicians who promised this would never happen. Now it's time for you to right this terrible wrong. Protecting our citizens and our way of life should be your top priority. Do the right thing and stop this hated, ill conceived development. Save our way of life!

  • Strenghten Animal Abuse Laws
The state of New Mexico is consistantly rated as one of the worst 5 states in regard to animal abuse and neglect. Every year hundreds of animals are neglected, abused and starved. And thousands of other animals are euthanized. It is time to try to put some bite into the law.

  • Builders need to honor their 10 year Structural Warranties!
I bought a brand new home built by a "Reputable" large builder. Within 3 years I noticed cracks and structural damage. I asked the builder to buy the house back. The Builder walked away told me to sue them. 3 years and $200k later I am nowhere. NHIC (National Home Insurance Co) also refuses to pay on the structural policy I have with them. They agreed the house is structurally not sound and accepted my claim only to later change their mind...?...

The IOC have come to the conclusion of eliminating wrestling from the Olympics, but the decision is not final. In May they will make the last decision. Wrestling is a great sport of dedication, goal-setting, Teamwork, Strength, Brains, Hard-work and self accountability. The sport has been in the Olympics since the beginning and we need something for the wrestlers to strive for. An Olympic medal. Mr. Rogge and others of the committee, allow wrestling in the 2016 Olympics and others to come.
