BRGA GrantsThese grants were given for Katrina victims to rebuild or defray blighted properties; however, though appreciated, most could not get the most from the monies because it was never enough to rebuild and, most definitely, not enough, to maintain the property. Conclusion: these grants should be forgiven.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Galethea B

Lack of Animal Rights In MississippiMississippi ranks in the bottom five states out of all the states in America for animal rights. I am not proud of this ranking, and neither should anyone else be. Every citizen of Mississippi is affected by animal cruelty, emotionally and financially. Where you have uncontrolled animal abuse and neglect, you will also have a larger population of criminals. Let us make Mississippi a better place to live for our children by using all of the tools at hand:education for our citizens & law enforcement, stricter laws imposed, enforcement of laws that are passed, and funding for "no kill" rescue shelters.1,118 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Charlee Terrell

Pinellas County: Save the Tides Golf ClubWe, the Citizens of Pinellas County and the Visitors of The Tides Golf Course, hereby submit this petition to stop any re-zoning attempts of the Tides Golf Course. The Tides Golf Course is located at 11832 66th Avenue North, Seminole, Florida. The Tides Golf Course is currently zoned as recreational open. The Tides Golf Course represents a gem for our county and for our fellow residents. A change in zoning would lead to a lower quality of life for residents who live in neighborhoods surrounding the golf course and for our county as a whole. Rezoning would allow developers to change the Tides Golf Course from the 150 acres of rolling sea grasses to 167 homes, townhomes and/or condos replacing grass with concrete and asphalt. Re-zoning would also disturb and disrupt the sensitive eco system of the area that is home to many native Florida species of plant and wildlife. We want the Tides Golf Course to be saved so future generations may be part of the pleasure that this open green space has provided millions for the past 39+ years. We request the Pinellas Board of Commissioners/Zoning Board: •Deny any changes to the current Tides Golf Course Zoning. •Protect the Tides Golf Course for the “Open Green Space” that it is and prohibit any construction of residences. •Maintain our estuary of “Green Open Space” so that generations of Eagles, Egrets and Owls may continue to have their rightful nesting areas. •Protect our Trees and Native Greenery on The Tides GC that cleans our air and provides habitat for the hundreds of animals that call it home.3,053 of 4,000 SignaturesCreated by Kim Pearson

Cyclists cycling away student debt while giving back and staying fitDo you like bicycling through your town? Is exercise appealing to you, but don't have the time? Clif Bar has a 2-Mile competition in which bicycle lovers can log their mileage and by doing so, contribute to charity. Well, what if a company like that could motivate college students and young adults out in the working world to ride to lower their own debt? What if every mile that you rode could be a spendable credit toward your own debt, toward a charity of your choice, or toward your favorite sports drink along your route? I think that cycling your debt away should be an option for the young, unemployed but motivated who sincerely want to help society.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by C. Wilson

"Starving in Las Vegas Horse and English Mastiff! "To: Mayor Carolyn Goodman Las Vegas animal control is negligent as to the condition of abused or neglected animals. I have reported this incident to over 20 resources and when the Animal Control of Clark county came out they stated to Channel 13 news that there was no abused or neglected animals when in fact this white horse and an English Mastiff are starving to death and for days I personally saw how the owner improperly feed the horses and the Mastiff looked like bones with a sheet over it! This also happened at Patriots Legacy Ranch were I personally removed a 4 month old pit bull being head butted while tied up in ram pen and removed the horse Topper which I still have. There is no room for such oversight on any living creature. If this were a child these people would be in prison right now. As well the animal control did not report the people living in metal work sheds which i witnessed first hand. I am requesting that action for these two animals at said Ranch be removed or surrendered a soon as possible. I have already called her and asked If I could buy the Mastiff ... I never got a call back. Lets please do the right thing her! City Hall 495. S. Main St. Las Vegas, NV 89101 Phone: (702) 229-6241 Fax: (702) 385-7960l Email the Office of the Mayor:51 of 100 SignaturesCreated by susan wallis la von

NW Washington demands new gun limitsOur representatives in Washington DC are facing a critical decision right now -- will they stand up to powerful gun lobbyists and support new federal limits on gun and ammunition sales? Or will they accept the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary as the status quo? US Representative Derek Kilmer, who represents Kitsap County, Tacoma, and the Olympic Peninsula, hasn’t made himself clear on this question. Please sign this petition urging him, as well as our senators Maria Cantwell and Patty Murray, to support President Obama's proposals for curbing the intolerable level of gun violence in our nation.1,159 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Alorie Gilbert

GUN SAFETYBack ground check and firearm registration for all sales. Ban high capacity weapons that are only suitable for the war zone. This is not an infringement on any citizen's right to bear arms.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Roydel Stewart

I will not vote for any politician who does not support gun controlThe United States is the only "civilized" country in the world where 30+ deaths a day due to gun violence is tolerated, in the name of democracy, or freedom, or a delusional sense of protection from some phantom government conspiracy. The time for such tolerance has passed. We need to act. Peacefully, but with great determination.18 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Edward Mocsi
