In order to protect social security, EVERYONE should have to put into it, and the cap on earnings should be removed so ALL income is equally taxed.

We want to prevent the Devocalizatin it is a cruel and inhumane practice which allows people to cut out the vocal cords of there animals. It is painful and they still can make strange noises, which are even more annoying. It has been reported that after they do this horrible thing they then dump the poor animals. Lets support the bill making it illegal to do this.

  • Help for Chinese drywall victims
People who unknowingly purchased homes with Chinese drywall have zero help. Their homes are very unhealthy to live in and they are forced to move out and rent. Many builders filed bankrupcy and some manufacturers are not cooperating and standing behind their product. No lemon law applies and there is zero insurance coverage because the drywall is considered a defective product. Homeowners who cannot afford to pay their mortgage and their rent are being foreclosed upon. The banks are ruining their credit even though they pay all of their other bills and the homeowners are the victims. These people, have had to replace furniture, food, pillows, drapes, appliances, etc. They have suffered sinus problems, headaches, nausea, and even coughing up blood. FEMA doesn't cover it. They have no where to turn. Lawsuits against the Chinese government are slow-moving and may bring little or nothing. Meanwhile, these homeowners are losing their homes, their credit and their health.

  • No more Nuclear Plants on Earthquake Fault Lines
Japan should have taught us this one simple fact. Although I do not approve of nuclear energy, can we at least use a little common sense. Have the UN pass a world law that refuses to let countries build nuclear plants on earthquake fault lines.

  • Save Classical Music and Other Music Programming on WITF-FM
"WITF-FM will eliminate all of its classical music programs, once a staple of the public radio station...The new direction takes effect Monday, June 25, ending a 41 year tradition. Weekdays, the switch will fill the central Pennsylvania station's hours entirely with news and information..." The radio station's board of directors along with President and CEO Kathleen Pavelko have approved the changed. Although there is certainly value in news and informational programming, this decision seems one-sided. Many music programs such as "Classical Air," "Music Through the Night," "Thistle and Shamrock," and "Echoes" are being axed in favor of informational programming. For many years, WITF-FM has been a station which offered a balance of music programming and informational/news programming. This decision takes away much of the musical programming that so many Central Pennsylvania residents enjoy listening to. We're calling on Ms. Pavelko to reconsider the decision and bring back music programming on WITF-FM for the benefit of the community. Get involved and see what you can do to help keep classical music and other music programming a focal point at WITF-FM. More information can be found on the following website. http://lancasteronline.com/article/local/660230_WITF-FM-cuts-all-classical-music-from-lineup.html

  • Induct the Moody Blues into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
I've been a Moodies fan since 1967. Their continued oversight as inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a travesty of its intended purpose. The Moody Blues are part of the history of recorded music and their influential contribution deserves to be recognized. It's a shame that politics and the influence of a few individuals have deprived the Moody Blues and their fans for so many years. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will not be complete until the Moodies are included!
