• Eric Bolling of Fox news: on air racist
This petition is about the actions and choice of words that Mr Bolling holds towards African Americans. He has showed the uttermost disrespect for the life of Ms Whitney E. Houston, as she has recentlly passed away with his comment directed at Dem. Congress woman Ms Maxine Waters on February 16th 2012. (Eric Bolling) "how's this!... congress woman... you saw what happened to Whitney Houston.... step away from the crack pipe!...step away from the zanex... step away from the Lorazepam... it's gonna get you in trouble"~verbatim These words are detrimental and inexcusable. It shows a lack of dignity and thought. Many African Americans watch the Fox news channel and its affiliates. At the same time we should not have to be subjected to the blatant vulgar offensive type of language expressed through the mind of Mr Eric Bolling who is no more then referring to blacks as common drug addicts and "hoodlums"..... as he recently spoke of Brother President Obama "It's not the first time he's had a hoodlum in the hizzouse."~verbatim, referring to President Obama on hosting Gabonese President, Ali Bongo of Africa. He (Eric Bolling) should be removed from the Fox news organization as an anilyst for his actions is that of a child in grade school and not of a grown man in journalism. His "just kidding" remark on Congress woman Waters afterwords shows the lack of decency as his taste in judgement lacks moral in conforming to a standard of wrong behavior on the air for the public to see. This type of behavior should not be tollerated by Fox news and should relieve Mr Bolling from his duties with Fox corportation.

  • Soldiers with PTSD
Soldiers from Individual Ready Reserve were called to action in 2004 they were given 30 days before they had been scheduled for training and then sent to Iraq. Many soldiers are now feeling the effects of PTSD. The results of serving their country with Honor. My brother and many like him showed up after 30 days notice. My brother is now suffering from the effects of PTSD . My point is my brother was given 30 days to get ready for war why does it take the goverment 24 months to process his disability paper work. If compliance is required for soldiers it is reasonable to require the same of our Goverment.

  • Reinvestigate 9/11
We have not been told the truth about 9/11/01. Thousands of people died, and we don't have the true story yet. Theodore Olson, then Solicitor-General, told proven lies on national television about what happened. Why did he do this?

  • Let's name some Philadelphia Laureates.
This petition asks Mayor Nutter and City Council to name Philadelphia Poets Laureate. Laureates would serve for one or two years as cultural ambassadors for the city and inspirations to its school children. Other Laureates (Painter-, Sculptor-, Composer-, Dramatist-) could be named. Laureates would be paid a modest salary-comparable to a police lieutenant, let's say-from privately raised funds.

  • Stop Business Welfare
Often those expressing concern about US debt complain about safety net programs for the very poor 15% of Americans. • Poverty level is $22,314 for a family of four; full-time sales clerks earn about $20, 699. • Minimum annual wage is about $15,600 for 40 hours a week. • A worker can work just as hard as any CEO but still be poor. • The very poor poverty level is about $11,000; they get all of $1.44 per-meal in Food Stamps. If taxpayers stopped subsidizing low-wage businesses and required a living wage for all, there wouldn’t as much need for a safety net. Only 50% of full-time workers earn more than $44,100 annually.

  • War Profits: A Crime Against Humanity
War is hugely profitable for a few corporate, or human persons. If War Profits were illegal, most wars would cease as the financing dried up. Profits on the manufacture or distribution of materials consumed by war efforts must be limited to 5% over cost of production. Corporate officer salery and bonus pay should be limited to not more than the President of the country earns as official salery.
