No Low Barrier Shelter on GirardAs residents/homeowners/tenants/workers/parents of school children from the Lettered Streets area, we oppose the proposed use of 509 Girard for a low barrier homeless shelter. The city should find a more suitable location for these efforts.202 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Chad Gale

Stop the Balfour ParkwayThe Balfour Parkway will cost taxpayers $154 million dollars and result in 220-440 homes being destroyed or negatively impacted by a five mile expressway that will wind its way through existing subdivisions, apple farms, and neighborhoods. It is not needed to facilitate traffic, it will not eliminate traffic issues on Four Seasons Boulevard and it will destroy the small town feel of Henderson County forever and should not be allowed to proceed!696 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Cindy Lemon

End Childhood Deep Poverty in CA!The state’s CalWORKs program provides basic needs cash aid to low-income families with children to alleviate the impact of poverty on children and help parents overcome barriers to employment. It serves 1.1 million people – 80 percent of them children. But the current maximum grant for a family of three is only 41 percent of the federal poverty level and the average grant for a family of three is only 33 percent of the federal poverty level. We can reduce the number of children living in deep poverty and show that Californians care about all our children by setting a floor for CalWORKs grants at 50 percent of the federal poverty level. Please sign this petition to tell your legislators that you want them to pass a state budget this year that adequately funds CalWORKs grants at a level that ensures no child in a CalWORKs family has to live in deep poverty. Let them know that as a constituent, you ask for their support of SB 982, a bill by Sen. Holly Mitchell, which will set a floor for CalWORKs grants at 50 percent of the federal poverty line.50 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Kevan Insko

Truckee Donner PUD: Reject the Nuclear Small Modular Reactor ProjectOn April 4th the TDPUD board will vote on whether to enter into an agreement to obtain power from the Small Modular Reactor (nuclear) project known as the Carbon Free Power Project (CFPP). The end result of this project will be that TDPUD will be a part owner and contracted customer of a nuclear power plant that will be constructed outside of Idaho Falls in 2023. There is no effective method of storing spent nuclear waste. The waste generation and non-renewable nature of this project is in direct contrast with the Town of Truckee 100% Renewable Resolution, which calls for 100% renewable electricity, town-wide, by 2030.239 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Suzie Tarnay

Freedom From Waste Management's Outrageous Fees. The fees are so outrageous landlords are leaving dumpsters ON THE STREET in front of their buildings to avoid paying them. It is unconscionable to charge the fees Waste Management is charging. Since when can the city tell us which vendors we can hire for services? Why are they letting them rob us blind?22 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Abby Belkin

New Kid Friendly Pfluger Park PlaygrondWe are starting this petition because they tore down the old but functional and fun playground. The city wants to replace the playscape with an all-metal playground only suited for 8 and older kids, that will get hot in the Texas heat almost year round. There are a lot of the Pflugerville Pfamiles not happy with this decision, being that we are the ones that spend time at the park all year round.45 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Larry Davis

Change In Social ServicesI, Carl Walden, got benefits form the Union County Office in Elizabeth NJ. They took my stuff away not giving me any fair warning about it and took my housing away form me . This had forced me to go for a fair hearing . I am currently on probation and without an address i am subjected to going back to jail . They know that i have mental disabilities. They understand this and my stuff was stolen from me in one of their establishments. This has been happening to a lot of people . Their workers are very disrespectful and not very informative. The lack of education that they have about your programs and them putting us where they want to is just unfair. They treat us disrespectfully and inhumane. They have no knowledge of the programing and their limitations and some off them do and choose not to give us any clarity of the problem.12 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Carl Walden

Save our WaterSafe drinking water is a necessity of a healthy life, without which the ripple effect can carry on for generations if it continues to be ignored. The financial damage should not be ignored. Studies have shown, that the environment in which citizens live, greatly affects salary, insurance premiums, employment, education, all on a personal level, but it affects the insurance premiums for the Village as a whole.49 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Cat

Stop the Tower on the RiverThe Riverside and North Riverside neighborhoods repeatedly come together to protect our historic neighborhoods from business encroachment that would negatively impact the aesthetic of our historic neighborhoods, lower property values and invite further development within the river corridors. With the sole exception of David Foster, who is familiar with the aesthetic and spirit of the neighborhood, the MAPC voted in favor of the Conditional Use Permit made by Central Plains Development, Greg Ferris Consulting, and APC Towers, Raleigh, NC. However, our DAB, also intimately knowledgeable about Riverside/North Riverside, voted to not recommend approval. We ask that T-Mobile explore collocation on existing towers, micro-towers on electric poles or alternative locations that would be less egregious. This tower does not need to be erected at the entrance to the historic Riverside neighborhoods. We plead with our City Council to not allow one business-owner, his broker and an out-of-state investor to desecrate our riverbank and forever change the entrance to the city's historic neighborhoods along the Little Arkansas River. A 110-foot cell phone tower would have an undue effect on the health, safety, and welfare of the community as they tie to the aesthetics of the Riverside neighborhoods.616 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Madeline McCullough
