As a US Citizen, I am sick of our taxes paying for this family's lavish lifestyle, yet Trump wants to cut budgets to "Meals on Wheels", after school programs, school lunch programs, Medicaid, help for the mentally ill, etc. Instead of our taxes paying for "Trump" expenses, let them go to what is important, and if he insists on traveling so much to his "winter White House", let this so-called billionaire pay for it himself. Plus any trips his sons' make on behalf of the Trump Organization should be paid for by their company. Their secret service expenses are out of control. It needs to stop.

I am starting this petition because I am one of the many in this country buried in student loan debt that seems to go nowhere. I have no problem paying the loan back, but I do have a problem with the interest rates. It is out of control. It is in no way beneficial for students to even go to college anymore without grants and scholarships. Taking out loans is shooting yourself in the foot and trapping people in debt. This is why I have started this petition. So that Americans can go to school and not be buried in debt for the next 10 to 25 years of their lives.

There are millions of Americans like myself who run a serious risk if their healthcare is interrupted. Congress' new plan is a financial and immoral mistake.

When police act as ICE (immigration) agents, victims and witnesses of crime are afraid to call police, which makes us all less safe. • Guarantee basic due process rights - It requires notice to immigrant detainees of their legal rights – in a language they understand.

The President is wasting money that could be used for better causes, and also it is affecting the business in Palm Beach! We as taxpayers should not have to pay for his golf trips!

Hawaii public education is at a critical crossroads. Hawaii has the potential to have the best public education system in the nation if current movements in innovation, collaboration and empowerment are unleashed to their full potential. However, this potential is stymied due to special interest control of the Superintendent search process. The H.L. Castle Foundation, which shares interlocking leadership with the Business Roundtable and the Chamber of Commerce, has been too intimately involved in setting the public education policy agenda. Recent actions by the H.L. Castle Foundation in the Superintendent search reveal clearly that corporate money buys corporate control. The H.L. Castle Foundation offered to fund the search for the superintendent, and selected an Iowa-based search firm known for seeking out corporate-minded educational leaders who will likely be inappropriate for our state's culture, context and vision for the future of Hawaii's public education. The H.L Castle Foundation also held the process hostage by withdrawing their funding offer of $50,000 when the candidate pool widened to include a candidate who had been openly critical of the education policies the Castle Foundation helped to craft under the federal 'No Child Left Behind' law and the federal 'Race to the Top' program. They only reinstated the funding they had originally offered when the candidate withdrew. This is unacceptable. Now more than ever, we need public control of public education. We are calling for the Castle Foundation to remove itself completely from the decision-making processes surrounding the selection the next Hawaii DOE superintendent.

One of the many benefits of being a Member of Congress is that they can choose from among the very best insurance plans in the ACA, with extremely high government subsidies. They have 57 Gold Tier plans to choose from. They receive subsidies of 72 to 75 percent toward their premiums. And, among many other benefits, they also get FREE MEDICAL CARE on any military base in the world. But we don't know exactly how much our elected officials pay, out of pocket, for those insurance plans--nor do we know the extent of their coverage. On his first day as secretary of the Interior, Ryan Zinke reversed a policy that would have phased out toxic, lead-based ammunition and fishing tackle from national wildlife refuges by 2022. Lead, a powerful neurotoxin, is a huge threat for waterfowl and birds of prey, like ducks, bald eagles, and California condors. That Zinke undid this protection on his FIRST DAY is extremely disconcerting -- please demand that Ryan Zinke reestablish the transition away from lead in wildlife refuges.

I am outraged that we are cutting vital and lifesaving services for our citizens while subsidizing Trump's lavish lifestyle. We are already paying for TWO residences, at an extra 150,000$ a day in NYC. In addition, our money is going directly into Trump's pocket for housing the staff and security that he takes with him, because he has not properly divested, which is unethical in the extreme, if not illegal.

The taxpayer is essentially funding discrimination and violating the separation of church & State. Religious institutions pay no taxes and are using much of the tax money for political gain and personal advancement of their own church Hierarchy. The monies are diverted from higher priority needs and it appears with little or no accounting of expenditures.
