Breitbart 'News' is corrupting American news cycles and misleading a broad portion of the American public.

The big payment processing companies - Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover - are processing funds for some of the vilest white supremacist groups. White supremacist hubs like Stormfront are able to easily receive funding because these companies are allowing them to. And thanks to transaction fees, these companies are making money every time someone donates to one these hate groups. Some of the groups receiving money from Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover are responsible for numerous hate crimes, murders, and the radicalization of terrorists Dylann Roof, Timothy McVeigh, and Wade Michael Page. These companies have cut off other hate groups in the past, it’s time for them to step up and cut off all white supremacist groups from their financial resources.

NY lawmakers agree on pay raise for caregivers March 15, 2017 04:58 AM ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - The New York state Senate and Assembly are in agreement on a plan to increase funding for the care of the developmentally disabled. The Republican-led Senate and Democratic-controlled Assembly both included $45 million in additional funding in their chamber's proposed state budgets. The money would support pay raises for the direct support professionals who care for people with developmental disabilities. Low pay has created high turnover and staffing shortages. Harvey Weisenberg, a former lawmaker and father of a disabled son, says some caregivers are so poorly paid they're choosing to work fast-food jobs instead. Now supporters must convince Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who did not include the money in his own state budget proposal. A vote on the budget is expected by April 1.

Starting in the fall of 2017, SRHS seniors who have met the graduation requirements cannot have a "home period" (taking one period off). The district claims it is due to a new law; however, the lawmaker disputes that and the California Dept. of Education says there is no law that bans a "home period." Many districts (including Poway) have "home periods," which allow students to hold part-time jobs/internships, volunteer, and/or play sports and still maintain good grades. This makes them more well-rounded, which is what high-level colleges are looking for. This is in the best interest of children. Thank you!

Kathleen Dumais, a Montgomery County Delegate, is uncertain about supporting critical provisions in the MD TRUST Act that would ban programs like 287(g), stop local detention centers from enforcing civil immigration law, and protect the privacy of all Marylanders. We need your help to encourage her to support MD TRUST Act including all the critical provisions listed above. Support Maryland's immigrant communities and sign the petition. The MD TRUST ACT would prohibit law enforcement agencies from collaborating with ICE on civil immigration enforcement, and prohibit the contribution of state or local resources to a federal effort to register people on the basis of protected classes including religion and national origin.

Fuel standards may be the most important environmental regulation we have, and they make sense on many levels. They save us gas costs, they keep American car companies competitive and they protect our environment. Tell the EPA and car makers, we won't buy yesterday's gas guzzlers. Move forward not back.

One of my sons has Affordable Health care and supports it. I am very upset about the ideas that Trump has - he is not educated enough to be the leader of our country. I am an immigrant. I grew up under Hitler, I grew up in the war, part of my family died in the two world wars. I knew Hitler because I was an artist since childhood. He had good intentions in the beginning but was not suitable to carry them out.

Myself and many others have been the victims of sexual assault and rape by homegrown American men. The idea of using violence against women as an excuse for this Muslim travel ban is absolutely infuriating and demeans the nature of violence against women!

Steve King making outrageous racist remarks is unfortunately nothing new. However, his awful consistency is no excuse for complicity. Most recently, King shared a racist meme regarding Emma Gonzalez, a Parkland survivor and #NeverAgain movement leader, criticizing her for wearing a Cuban flag. He has also tweeted "you can't rebuild civilization with someone else's babies" which won him the praise of former KKK Grand Wizard David Duke who called upon white supremacists to move to Steve King's congressional district, Iowa's 4th, if they wanted to have leadership that reflected their values. The very next day on WHO radio Steve King doubled down on his bigotry when commenting on demographic trends indicating Caucasians will someday be in the minority "Blacks and Hispanics will be fighting each other before that happens." This calls for unequivocal condemnation from all respectable leaders and political parties.

The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office says that by 2026, the American Health Care Act [TrumpCare] would increase the number of Americans without health insurance by 24 million. TrumpCare would reverse the expansion of Medicaid that Illinois adopted under the Affordable Care Act. Under TrumpCare, Illinois would no longer get a fixed share of its Medicaid costs, but would get a fixed sum per person in the program, regardless of costs. TrumpCare would take away addiction and mental-health coverage from 1.3 million people. [1] More than 356,000 Illinois residents have coverage through plans purchased on the Affordable Care Act exchange. More than 3 million Illinois residents are covered by Medicaid, about one-fourth of Illinois residents. About 650,000 Illinois residents are now covered under the Medicaid expansion of the Affordable Care Act. The federal government now picks up about half the cost of Medicaid in Illinois. [2] The TrumpCare bill would also block Planned Parenthood from receiving federal funds. Planned Parenthood of Illinois operates 16 centers that provide cancer screenings, breast health care, contraceptive services and treatment for sexually transmitted infections. Planned Parenthood of Illinois provided reproductive health care services to about 60,000 people in 2015. [3] Even Republican Governor Bruce Rauner admitted that "Illinois won’t do very well under the changes that they’re recommending" under TrumpCare. [4] If the Illinois legislature debated and voted on a resolution against TrumpCare, it would put pressure on Illinois Republicans to oppose TrumpCare. Already, more than 50 Republicans in Congress have expressed opposition or skepticism towards the bill. [5] So far, Illinois Republicans have not done so.
