Rep Frank LoBiondo should host a Town Hall meetingConstituents have not had an opportunity to air their concerns to the Rep. in a large setting, and therefore are extremely frustrated. Rep. LoBiondo serves on the Congressional Intelligence Committee and constituents want answers about Donald Trump's connections to the Russian government, full disclosure of Trump's financials and full transparency. Constituents also need to discuss Trump Administration's reckless approach to many issues such as: ACA, Entitlements, the EPA/environment, out of control spending (ICE agents, "the wall", etc.), Immigration ban & deportation force & Trumps exorbitant travel expenses for first month. Constituents also need the ability to challenge irresponsible budget cuts proposing to eliminate Public Broadcasting & National Public Radio, by killing the CPB (Corporation for Public Broadcasting) & arts programs funded by the NEA (National Endowment for the Arts), CPB & NEA make up less than .02% of Federal Budget. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2017/01/19/trump-reportedly-wants-to-cut-cultural-programs-that-make-up-0-02-percent-of-federal-spending/?utm_term=.7e1e00281ce9256 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Indivisible Southern NJ

@nytimes, @spaydl: Report the UN's Famine Warning for YemenUnited Nations and other international aid officials have been warning that Yemen is on the brink of famine. "Donald Trump’s Shift On Yemen Risks Plunging The Country Into Famine," the Huffington Post reports, warning that the Trump Administration may be giving Saudi Arabia a green light to attack and close the critical port of Hodeidah, blocking Yemen's food imports. [1] "Yemen war causing world's worst food crisis," Vatican Radio reports. [2] "'Time running out': 1.4 million children could die from famine in Africa & Yemen, says UNICEF," RT reports. [3] But a search of recent stories on the New York Times' website only turns up wire stories, not a regular New York Times article. [4] Urge New York Times editors to press for prominent Times coverage of the UN's famine warning for Yemen, and acknowledgement of the U.S. role in bringing about the famine risk by supporting Saudi Arabia's war, by signing our petition. UPDATE 2/24: Since we launched our petition, the New York Times has run an article that reported the UN famine warning for Yemen. [5] That's a good start. Sign our petition to continue to press the New York Times for prominent coverage of the Yemen emergency. Congressman Paul Mitchell TownhallPaul Mitchell is a new Congressman who had to bounce district to district before finding one that he could win in. I along with my retired parents asked Paul Mitchell multiple times if he would cut Social Security and Medicare, only to have him block us on Facebook. Rep. Mitchell needs to be reminded that he works for the people of Michigan's 10th District and that it is his job to answer tough questions not to hide in his new D.C. office.105 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Patrick Burke

Exclusion of Hispanic Caucus from ICE Deportation BriefingsOn Feb 16, 2017, House Speaker Paul Ryan, (R-WI) and Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte, (R-VA) requested that Rep. Luis V. Gutierrez (D-IL) leave a briefing that was being held with ICE, regarding deportations, and the plans that the Trump Administration is working on in regards to the DREAMers. They then prohibited all members of the Hispanic Caucus from attending meetings with ice as well-this shows a clear, racially motivated bias, and is simply unacceptable. Speaker Ryan and Chairman Goodlatte need to receive censure, at the very least, with possible further punishment, if deemed warranted. Furthermore, we, the American people, demand that any persons having Congressional clearance to attend ICE deportation briefings, including but not limited to, members of the Hispanic Caucus, be allowed to do so IMMEDIATELY.191 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Josephine A Frame

Stop Milo and the AltRight's Pedophilia AcceptanceThis is a petition asking for the public and the media to not allow Milo Yiannapolus or any #AltRight leader to have any voice publicly. We also want leaders in the right to publicly condemn child abuse and pedophilia. Recently, Milo made some crude comments about pedophilia - which should never be accepted or normalized. At TheResistanceUnite, we are devoted to helping #TheResistance unite against hate, xenophobia, Islamophobia, bigotry, sexism, and racism, etc. We are also devoted to exposing Rape Culture and child abuse in the #AltRight - we are survivors of childhood sexual abuse, as well, so this is extremely important to us. We want people everywhere to unite against the sexual abuse, rape, molestation, and pedophilia in the Trump administration and in the AltRight. It is time to expose the underbelly of the NeoNazis and be there for the victims of the abuse. With love and compassion for all, Kalena and Hepzibah, Co-Founders of TheResistanceUnite.org34 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Hepzibah

#WheresDesJarlais? We Want a TownhallTN Cong District 4's Rep Scott DesJarlais has not met face 2 face with us in years! With all the turmoil coming out of DC, such as Russian interference, pending repeal of the Affordable Care Act, accusations of "fake news" and many more issues, we want to be heard! We have made 100s of call's, been to his offices and sent many emails asking for an in person Townhall! The answers have ranged from "you're paid protestors" to "Trump and Scott won that district by so much, there's no need for one.", To 'No', and "have you seen the Congressional calendar!!" Scott did make time this week for friendly press in Cleveland and has plans on Thursday for a banquet with Republican Party volunteers. Make time for us, Scott!!261 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Deborah A Johnson

Oppose Trump's roll-back of gender-nonconforming children's bathroom useOne of my children, and hundreds of thousands of other American children, suffer bullying, exclusion, social isolation, self-doubt, sometimes self-loathing, and an exceedingly high risk of depression and suicide, because their genders do not conform to their gender assignment at birth. They require the federal protection against discrimination that Obama administration's guidelines provide. The protective guidelines should be enacted, not eliminated.477 of 500 SignaturesCreated by Peter F. White, M.D.

Oppose Virginia SB 1262 - Virginia Towns Should Not Be Jointly & Severally Liable For Damages Cau...It may be that SB 1262 will not withstand judicial scrutiny. If it is valid law, it is objectionable on so many levels. Xenophobia aside, it interferes with a town's/city's ability to act in the best interests of its citizens. It burdens state/local police and officials with additional duties and responsibilities that distract from the purpose for which they were hired or elected - local government and safety. It is so broad and poorly crafted that it doesn't even seem to require a link between the offending ordinance/policy and the actions of the wrongdoer for a town/city to be held jointly and severally liable for damages. Some may argue that the qualifying words "intentionally" and with "intent to thwart" protect local cities and towns from most lawsuits; in reality, they just create additional issues that will need to be decided in court -- again at a price to be paid by local citizens. In any case, how can our State Senators and Delegates truly believe that making our local communities (and ultimately us -- the taxpayers) subject to litigation and the associated judgments and defense costs is in our best interest? If they do believe this, they are wrong!! Where will the overreach of the federal government end (see Section 8 of President Trump's January 25, 2017 Executive Order)? Why are our legislators helping with this effort? At some point, will our state and local police become an arm of federal law enforcement? Do we want this? Will we stand for this? NO!! SB 1262 passed the Senate in early February and has been sitting in the House Committee for Courts of Justice since February 8. As the legislative session is scheduled to end this week, it could be that it will remain there and die. However, given some surprising things that have happened during this session, we need to be prepared to let the Legislature know that we oppose it, should it be revived. Moreover, we should all know that this horrendous type of legislation is being proposed and supported by our representatives, who are supposed to be looking out for us. We need them to know that SB 1262 has been noticed and it will not be tolerated! If the Legislature is going to take any action on SB 1262, it will happen this week. If you oppose this bill, please sign and ask your friends and associates to sign today!! Thanks!411 of 500 SignaturesCreated by Catherine Carey
