An ongoing lie, or delusion, of the president of the United States affects not only me, but every US Citizen. This particular lie constitutes a "big lie." According to Joseph Goebblels “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it". For the sake of our democracy we cannot afford to allow Trump and his followers to perpetuate this big lie.

The subject of this petition is to determine if the present administration intended to undermine the then existing president of the United States and to also unearth ties to Russia which may link President Trump and members of his staff to the manipulation and/or rigging of the 2016 US election.

That we do not put are Country into the hands of someone who is unstable. To make sure that they are able to handle all that is required of them Mentally.

Senators are elected to serve the needs of the residents of their state and should therefore avail themselves to the general public whenever they return from Washington D.C. According to their official websites, neither Senator has any public events currently scheduled during the upcoming recess. As an Arkansas resident and voter, I find this lack of interaction with their constituents to be unacceptable.

Scott Pruitt has been put in charge of the EPA by President Trump. The problem is that Pruitt supports the Keystone XL Pipeline and he has been critical of the vast amount of scientific evidence of global warming. As Oklahoma Attorney General, he has sued the EPA 14 times over clean air and water regulations calling those “unnecessary”. During his confirmation hearing he tried to walk back on his position of denying climate change but failed to admit that humans have caused climate change - claiming the degree of human impact is “debatable”. NASA and NOAA have clearly documented that 2016 was the hottest year in recorded history and human activity is the source. His direct conflicts of interest are evident by the fact that oil and gas are major industries in Oklahoma and he has supported them and failed to work toward the transition to clean/renewable energy that the American people are demanding - clean energy that will create jobs.

I am just a citizen, saddened deeply by Sandy Hook, Colorado cinema murders, University of Virginia, and so many more. So many of these murders were committed by persons that were mentally ill. How many more do we need before we say, there must be some limits to gun ownership! Act now!

Hundreds of his constituents have tried to get a meeting at his offices. He never shows up. He is avoiding hearing our concerns. He works for us. We want a town hall.

In January, I informed Guitar Center over Twitter that they had ads running on the racist, sexist, xenophobic website Breitbart. Breitbart is the website that Trump advisor Steve Bannon ran before moving over to Trump’s campaign. Bannon said that the website was a platform for the alt-right movement, a sanitized word for white nationalism and hate groups. Here’s just a few of the horrible headlines that have run on the website: - Hoist it high and proud: The Confederate flag proclaims a glorious heritage - Birth control makes women unattractive and crazy - Gay rights have made us dumber, it's time to get back in the closet Breitbart has helped spread the hate and bigotry that propelled Donald Trump to the White House and plans to start doing the same in Europe. We need to stop it and one of the ways that people across the world are taking action to slow down the growth of this hate is by asking companies to remove their ads from Breitbart.com, so they aren’t funding the site through ad revenue. More than 900 companies, including BMW, Kelloggs and AllState, have already pulled their ads, so I assumed that Guitar Center would act quickly to do the same. But, Guitar Center has so far ignored tweets letting them know about their ads and has not confirmed whether it’s removed its ads from Breitbart. Sign the petition to Guitar Center CEO Ron Japinga, CFO Tim Martin and EVP of Sales Michael Amkreutz to demand they stop funding hate and remove Guitar Center ads from the Breitbart website.

UPDATE: GREAT NEWS! Less than 24 hours after our petition launch and accompanying tweetstorm at the Oversight Committee handle, @OversightGOP, Chairman Chaffetz, announced that he would be probing security protocols at Mar-a-Lago security. We encourage asking the following questions: Why wasn't the President moved to a secure location when responding to the North Korea ballistic missile launch? Is the Mar-a-Lago dining area considered a secure location? Is there a secure location at Mar-a-Lago? Was classified information discussed or viewed by the President in an unsecured location at Mar-a-Lago? Who thought it was appropriate to conduct national security business in front of Mar-a-Lago club members? How many people were near the President during the deliberations on North Korea's missile test? How many of them had cameras? Were there any unsecured smartphones around the table? If so, were the proper precautions taken to turn them off or move them away before sensitive national security discussions began? How many Mar-a-Lago club members were taking pictures? How many of those cameras have been checked by officials to ensure that no classified information was compromised? Has any classified information been compromised? Were the cell phones government issued or private property? How does one become a Mar-a-Lago member? Is there a requirement beyond paying the $200,000 member fee? If one joins Mar-a-Lago, can that person gain access to critical national security decision-making? Could any of the club members be agents of Russia or China or any other adversary? Do any of the Mar-a-Lago members have security clearances? Is there a protocol for Mar-a-Lago members to post photos on social media sites while dining with the President?

Senator Rubio has been absent from Jacksonville for quite a while. We demand that he appears in front of his constituents and address the issue of the repeal of the ACA (Obama Care ) and his plan (no plan so far ) to replace it with a viable and affordable one.

I know a boycott of this measure will affect our Hollywood allies but I would ask those actors to join in this boycott - the administration of our 45th president CANNOT be allowed to command our financial institutions - especially when the candidate has PERSONALLY profited from our suffering in 2008. I am just one of thousands of people affected by the housing bubble of 2008 and I CANNOT support a candidate with such profound financial and philosophical cognitive dissonance.

We believe democracy demands that every vote should matter equally and the president should be the one who wins the most votes. Neither was true in the past election, the second time in the last five elections. Under the winner-take-all method of awarding electoral votes, voters in Connecticut and other reliably blue or red states are ignored. Of nearly 400 events during the 2016 general election, 94% were in held in just 12 battleground states, only one was held in Connecticut. The NPV Compact is an agreement among states to award their electoral college votes to the winner of the national popular vote. Once states holding 270 electoral votes join, the Compact will go into effect, making the national popular vote winner the president. Ten states and the District of Columbia, representing 165 electoral votes, have joined the Compact over the past 10 years. The Compact does not abolish the Electoral College. It works within the framework of the Constitution, which gives the states the power to appoint Electors, “in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct.” Support for the Compact is bipartisan. Newt Gingrich wrote, “This important project has the potential to transform the way we elect our presidents and to make sure all Americans have a voice in their future." During President Trump’s first week in office the Wall Street Journal reported that he “told Congressional leaders that he was interested in getting rid of the Electoral College and replacing it with a national popular vote.” The measure is not new; it passed the CT House in 2009 and has received bipartisan joint favorable votes in the General Administration and Elections Committee in 2011, 2013 and 2014.
