We don't need THE WALL. We don't want to pay for THE WALL!!!Not only is this an expensive and flawed solution, the wall would infringe upon private property - AND would violate over 30 laws - including the Endangered Species Act, the Safe Drinking Water Act, and the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act. John F Kelly, the Secretary of Homeland Security, says - "It won't work. A physical barrier will not do the job, it has to be a layered defense."420 of 500 SignaturesCreated by Ray Archie

Not with my taxesI don't want my tax dollars to build a wall on the Southern US border because the American people were promised they wouldn't pay and I don't want my tax dollars to be used for an investigation that has no merit or foundation.206 of 300 SignaturesCreated by SNAPRD

Democrats: Demand the Trump administration use government email. It's been reported by a number of outlets that Trump's team are already using unsecured RNC email addresses and personal email addresses for government work. It is also reported that Donald Trump is still using his unsecured smart phone after being sworn in as president. It might be allowable to give them time to adjust, if they hadn't campaigned on sending Hillary Clinton to jail over her use of personal email. Call upon them to get on secure servers, where their emails become part of the public record, now.69 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Summer

End lifetime salary and/or health-care benefits for members of congress. As a tax paying citizen, who has been paying into the system since I was 14-years-old, I feel strongly that it is time for this financial madness to end. Like Warren Buffet pointed out, if we stop paying Congress and the President lifetime benefits and salary these funds can go towards other important things our country needs, like paying down the deficit, helping families in need, improving our roads, etc., No other job or profession provides this kind of "lifetime" benefit and it's time members of congress learn how to live like the rest of us. NO MORE LIFETIME SALARIES OR BENEFITS FOR MEMBERS OF CONGRESS OR THE PRESIDENT!1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jodi Ippolito

Congress must investigate Trump's use of an unsecured phoneTrump made Secretary Clinton's alleged misuse of personal email servers a focal point of his presidential campaign. Congress has a duty to investigate Trump's own potential breach.11 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Anne Sherry

DNC Dems: Help Keith Ellison Lead, Support TPP Withdrawal & NAFTA RenegotiationOn January 23, the US announced that it was withdrawing from the anti-democratic, anti-worker Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement [TPP] and seeking a reopening of the North American Free Trade Agreement [NAFTA]. The AFL-CIO praised the moves, saying, "Today's announcement that the US is withdrawing from TPP and seeking a reopening of NAFTA is an important first step toward a trade policy that works for working people. While these are necessary actions, they aren’t enough. They are just the first in a series of necessary policy changes required to build a fair and just global economy. We will continue our relentless campaign to create new trade and economic rules that end special privileges for foreign investors and Big Pharma, protect our planet’s precious natural resources and ensure fair pay, safe conditions and a voice in the workplace for all workers." [1] Unfortunately, the Democratic Party still has not taken an official position against the TPP, having rebuffed a campaign led by Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Keith Ellison last summer to press the Democratic Party to oppose the TPP. [2] But now we have an opportunity to put the Democratic Party on track towards a pro-worker trade policy as called for by the AFL-CIO. On the weekend of February 24, members of the Democratic National Committee will meet and vote to determine the new DNC chair at the DNC's Winter Meeting. [3] Seven Members of Congress are on the DNC: Sen. Debbie Stabenow, and Reps. Maxine Waters, Barbara Lee, Nancy Pelosi, Danny Davis, Gregory Meeks, and Grace Meng. Reps. Maxine Waters and Barbara Lee have endorsed Keith Ellison's bid to lead the DNC. [4] Of the seven, only Meeks voted for fast track negotiating authority to enable the TPP. [5] If Keith becomes chair of the DNC, passing a DNC resolution that backs withdrawal from TPP and renegotiating NAFTA to be more pro-worker will help enable Keith to advocate for a pro-worker trade policy on behalf of all Democrats. Sign our petition to urge these Democrats to support Keith Ellison's leadership at the DNC by passing a resolution in support of TPP withdrawal and NAFTA renegotiation. Senate: Vote NO on Mulvaney! Respect parents and caregivers! If caring for triplets isn't a job, we don't know what is! Maybe this multi-millionaire needs a time-out from politics to try out caregiving himself. We know we need someone who understands the challenges facing American families and their budgets. Mulvaney failed to pay $15,000 in taxes for four years of this woman's work. (Making around $60,000 a year sure sounds like work!) Yet once he was in office, he supported four separate pieces of legislation to keep anyone with unpaid tax debts out of the government. Now he's writing it off as an "oops." We know this means at least one of these two things: 1) He thinks, like Donald Trump, that it's just good business to try to get away with not paying your taxes 2) That raising his triplet children wasn't real work As Americans, parents, and taxpayers, we know neither is true nor acceptable. The Senate Budget Committee must hold Mulvaney to his own standards and only approve someone who is capable of good, honest home economics!426 of 500 SignaturesCreated by Hand in Hand

Stand with Momentive Workers on StrikeWe've been on strike at Momentive Performance Materials in Waterford, NY since November 2 to save good jobs and stop Wall Street greed from destroying our community. Stand with us! Our jobs have been good jobs for decades, but hedge fund billionaires are trying to destroy them to line their own pockets, hurting working families. One of the billionaires who has been driving down our standard of living is Stephen Schwarzman. And Schwarzman isn't just any Wall Street billionaire - he chairs President Donald Trump's “Strategic and Policy Forum," which is supposed to help create good jobs. Surely if Schwarzman really cares about preserving and creating good jobs in places like Waterford he should stand with us to stop the pay and benefit cuts, support good jobs and put working people before Wall Street greed. Please sign the petition.6,270 of 7,000 SignaturesCreated by Donna Taylor and Frank Coreno

Tell Congress: Don't fund Trump's border wallThe border wall that Donald Trump has demanded for years would be an ecological disaster, an enormous waste of money, and an international symbol of intolerance that doesn't represent America's values. But Trump has said that he will shut down the government unless Congress gives him $5 billion for the wall. Congress should not let Trump take our government hostage. Even many Republicans know that the border wall is a bad idea. The money could be better spent on projects related to health care, education, and the economy.122,550 of 200,000 SignaturesCreated by Matt Hildreth

Reject Trump's Muslim BanDonald Trump has signed an executive order blocking refugees from seeking safety and restricting immigration from Muslim countries—a Muslim ban in everything but name. While the Trump administration has backpedaled on his call for "a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States"—realizing the weakness of his mandate and the unpopularity of his policies—it's clear that these orders are driven by a deep-seated, almost maniacal anti-Muslim hate that has captured Trump and his cabinet. And his call to block Syrian refugees—some of the most vulnerable people in the world—is shockingly morally bankrupt, even for someone like Trump. We reject targeting of anyone based on their religion or where they come from, and call on members of Congress to go on the record and vocally reject Trump's Muslim ban.379,192 of 400,000 SignaturesCreated by Linda Sarsour
