We know this means at least one of these two things: 1) He thinks, like Donald Trump, that it's just good business to try to get away with not paying your taxes 2) That raising his triplet children wasn't real work As Americans, parents, and taxpayers, we know neither is true nor acceptable. The Senate Budget Committee must hold Mulvaney to his own standards and only approve someone who is capable of good, honest home economics!

But Trump has said that he will shut down the government unless Congress gives him $5 billion for the wall. Congress should not let Trump take our government hostage. Even many Republicans know that the border wall is a bad idea. The money could be better spent on projects related to health care, education, and the economy.

Donald Trump has signed an executive order blocking refugees from seeking safety and restricting immigration from Muslim countries—a Muslim ban in everything but name. While the Trump administration has backpedaled on his call for "a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States"—realizing the weakness of his mandate and the unpopularity of his policies—it's clear that these orders are driven by a deep-seated, almost maniacal anti-Muslim hate that has captured Trump and his cabinet. And his call to block Syrian refugees—some of the most vulnerable people in the world—is shockingly morally bankrupt, even for someone like Trump. We reject targeting of anyone based on their religion or where they come from, and call on members of Congress to go on the record and vocally reject Trump's Muslim ban.
