Donald Trump's business interests are intertwined with politics worldwide. Any decisions he makes that involve a country that includes his businesses raises the specter of his acting not on Our behalf but on His. This would be a cardinal violation of the position of President.

Trump's insistence on hiding the truth poses a grave risk to every citizen of the United States!

This is about assuring the American people that our leadership is not merely going to do what they used to do to: make money or wield influence through making incendiary, dishonest, racist and sexist comments. We should all feel comfortable that our senior leadership is respectful toward all Americans regardless of sex or ethnicity. At the minimum, the American people deserve to be assured that the stories published by Mr. Bannon do not reflect his personal opinions, and that he repudiates the ideas expressed in them. Only by acknowledging these stories as dishonest and exploitive can the American people feel secure that our leadership will represent us all fairly.

Mrs. Gina Verdibello, a Jersey City resident and ran for a seat in the November 8, 2016 Board of Education election and received 14,727 votes --- just 552 votes short of capturing the third seat. Gina Verdibello born to immigrant parents from Italy and Peru, she grew up in Fort Lee, NJ. While attending Rutgers University she met her husband Robert who grew up in Jersey City. They have 3 young children that attend PS 17. Gina has a BA from Rutgers University in Art History and has worked at Liberty Science Center, the American Folk Art Museum and The Picower Foundation in fundraising and development. She has also been a Realtor at Century 21 Kenny Realty in Jersey City. She started Girl Scout Troop 12026 at James F. Murray PS 38. She is currently a board member of the West Side Community Alliance (WSCA) and Casa Colombo. At Joseph H. Brensinger PS17 Gina is the Parent Council Vice President and Title One Representative for the school. She has been a parent member of the Early Education Committee at the Board of Education for three years. Gina is a parent advocate for the children of that attend public school in Jersey City. She attends and speaks at all Board of Education meetings and most recently testified at the Trenton Board of Education against the new PARCC standardized tests and advocated for new Pre-K buildings for Jersey City. She continues to fight for better facilities and making our public schools the best they can be. As the fourth top vote-getter and, as set by precedent of the Jersey City Board of Education, Gina Verdibello is next in line for the seat being vacated and should be appointed to the board. We believe the appointment of Gina Verdibello reflects the will of the public and a that of the 14,727 parents, teachers and residents who voted for her on November 8, 2016 in the Jersey City school Board of Education election. We ask that the current board members act in fairness and respect the will of the people of Jersey City and the lawful, democratic mechanism of the State of New Jersey and vote to appoint her to the Jersey City Board of Education.

My baby sister, 18, died while in the custody of the Midland County Jail under the watch of the jailers. On July 27 at approximately 10:30 pm my sister and her boyfriend were pulled over by the city police. This was a controlled stop. Her boyfriend was being watched by the narcotic's department. They knew that her boyfriend had just purchased meth. My sister had a warrant for a failure to appear on a failure to stop at a stop sign ticket. After getting to the jail, my sister swallowed 3.8 grams of meth that her boyfriend told her to. There were recorded phone calls of my sister stating "I did what you told me too, how much did I swallow?" By the next day, she was starting to feel the effects. All through the night fellow inmates begged for help; screamed at the guards to please help. My sister sat in a cell screaming and begging for them to call my mom! Repeating her phone number over and over! 5 women who have called me told the same story! At approximately 4am they removed my sister from her cell and threw her in a cold shower! At approximately 10am the girls in the cell knew she was dying! Finally at noon on the 29th of July the jail called my mother to tell her she needed to get to the jail immediately! My sister was sick and it didn't look good. Our sheriff came in at 12:25 pm to let us know they were dropping all charges so that we could get in to see my sister! Shortly thereafter they came in to let us know she was gone! We begged to see her! They made us wait another hour! For three hours we sat in a little white room as they did their paperwork while my sister died alone! I begged our sheriff a couple of months later to look through video to see if it could have been different! My sister's body had bruises everywhere. Her face was smushed down on one side! They lied and said she became aggressive when help was brought, but that makes no sense! At every turn, we have been denied information or an investigation! All we want is an investigation and if a jailer denied her medical that they are punished accordingly! I don't understand how anyone could watch as someone died! I don't understand how they, the jail, can honestly say they didn't know. What about inmate checks, bed counts, searching the inmates as they come in????? How do you not notice for three days that someone is overdosing!?!?!?! We have hired attorneys but they are blocked each time! Please, this is our last hope! She didn't deserve to die! Her son didn't deserve to lose his mother! Statement from a girl who was in the cell with my sister: "She made it to population .. when before she gets back there was supposed to go through intake. Where she is supposed to sit down with a nurse.. why didn't the nurse catch her heart rate and dilated pupils? They did an entire shift change ... the first guard let her down while everyone was still locked down to go get in the shower. ( which isn't supposed to happen ) asking if she was detoxing ( jokingly).. and still after being told she was overdosing didn't take it seriously. The second guard came on to shift and went back to medical 3x letting them know the problem... The first time she came back... Medical said she would have to wait for the nurse to come around.. Sandy told me she felt like she was passing every time she closed her eyes.. after I told the guard she didn't have that time to wait she went back and told them and came back saying she still had to wait.. after asking for a medical form that I could fill out for Sandy so she could sign it so that it would be on records is when she then went back again and came back and asked for Sandy to come with her... After Sandy came out of a cold shower to help her burning up body (in all of her jail-issued clothing) I gave her a white shirt, a pair of socks to help her freezing feet and pulled her hair into a ponytail. I walked her over to the guard and told her everything would be ok.. 😞"

One thing that almost EVERYBODY agrees on -- whether or not we voted for Donald Trump -- is that it is NOT OK for him to make national and international policy decisions based on how much it will help or hurt his personal business investments. For this reason, we the undersigned call on our elected representatives from BOTH parties in Congress to demand that 1. President-elect Trump put his personal investments and assets into a blind trust while in the White House (as all his predecessors for the last 40 years have done) in order to avoid conflicts of interest or the appearance thereof. 2. President-elect Trump immediately release his tax returns (as all his predecessors for the last 40 years have done) so that we can know in advance about his investments and potential conflicts of interest. 3. President-elect Trump and all his appointees conduct and all their official email correspondences on government servers, where these emails can be retrieved later if charges of corruption should arise. President-elect Trump campaigned as a different kind of candidate who would "drain the swamp" of corruption by wealthy special interests in Washington DC. The purpose of these demands is to help him be successful in keeping the promises he made to ALL of us.

Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey has stated “It’s concerning for me to see the governor, who sat out this election, now take a wait-and-see approach on something like an appointment of Steve Bannon. For me, Bannon isn’t a wait-and-see situation. He is a white supremacist now named to a top White House position to advise the president-elect and that is something that needs to be denounced and rejected. I don’t think it’s prejudging to look at Bannon’s record of vile behavior and say there’s any situation to have him anywhere near the White House, let alone advising the president.” Join us in expressing our agreement with AG Healey to Governor Charlie Baker.

Jeffrey Sterling, who was convicted of espionage for sharing a small amount of information with the journalist James Risen about a plot to start a new war in Iran, has been incarcerated for over a year in the Federal Correctional Institution at Englewood. He was a CIA employee who was passed over for a promotion based solely on his race and filed a complaint against the CIA. As a consequence, he has been vilified, tried, convicted and imprisoned. His plight is dire at this point. He has suffered symptoms of heart distress for several months without being allowed to leave the prison for a cardiac consultation and testing. While he was promised that he would get this care by August 29, nothing has happened to this date. Activists are calling the jail and the Bureau of Prisons regularly and Arn Menconi, the Green Party candidate for senate in Colorado, has held two vigils outside the prison, all to no avail. Even our senator, Michael Bennet, has written and demanded a copy of Jeffrey’s medical records which FCI claims to have lost. Tommy Wilson is accused of Armed Robbery and was sentenced to 12 years Mandatory back in 2012. The witness was a habitual offender looking for a reduced sentence. Tommy is asking for clemency or an alternative since he has already spent 5 years of his life in prison. We are also seeking help before The Obama administration leaves the white house .

Donald Trump's hostility to the American press corps is well known. By calling individual reporters "scum" and "losers", he has attempted to minimize the great American tradition of a free press which monitors and distributes news to an informed electorate. His ability to bypass this traditional media by tweeting his lies, racism and hate speech can be easily prevented by monitoring his "real Donald Trump" account (and eventually "POTUS") and shutting it down permanently if any tweet contains hate speech, racist remarks and verifiable false information.
