A majority of U.S. adults get their news from social media sources. However, there is a proliferation of debunked stories and hoaxes that get "liked" and "shared," and then continue to gain traction. Facebook can and should fact check the articles that circulate on its website. Facebook can simply add a badge to false reports, for example stating whether a shared article is a "Hoax," "Debunked" or "Satire." Even our President-Elect defended retweeting a debunked news story by stating "All I know is what's on the internet" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93fgU_WNDPo It's time for Facebook to let subscribers know the difference between the truth, satire and flat out lies.

I truly believe that the right and duty to nominate a Supreme Court justice belongs to the person who is president at the time the vacancy occurs, and that the Senate's reprehensible tactic to steal this right from President Obama cannot be allowed to succeed.

If the DNC wants my scarce and dwindling discretionary dollars, it had better give me a GOOD, PROGRESSIVE REASON. The Civil Rights Act outlaws discrimination against nonwhite individuals. White nationalism espouses the ideology of the inferiority of nonwhites, which is reprehensible. Having a white nationalist in Trump's inner circle is a frightening signal that he may act on his racist campaign rhetoric and possibly work to move American democracy toward autocracy.

All Americans must be assured that Donald Trump's financial dealings have not, and will not, place his personal and financial interest ahead of the interest of the American people. As president-elect, Donald Trump is now required to put our interests before his own. To fully legitimize his standing as president-elect, Donald Trump must make his financial records public now.

The Loyal White Knights of Pelham, N.C. have announced they are holding a rally in "honor" of President-elect Donald Trump winning the presidency. Now is the time for all individuals to call on the President-elect to denounce the Loyal White Knights, David Duke, and all other white supremacist organizations -- both obvious and those who hide under the banner of the alt-right.

Clearly the Republican majority in the Senate has withheld action on President Obama's nomination purely on political grounds, not because of any substantive objection to the nominee. The President should exert his authority to appoint on the basis that the Senate has neglected its constitutionally mandated responsibility.

The media chases advertising dollars, and those are dependent on viewership. If we unite to ignore the KKK parade, it will get less media coverage, which is the best way to hurt their cause.

I want a president who reports to me and the people in this country, not one who chases his own business interests. Tax returns are the one way that we the people can discover areas of potential conflict of interest and corruption in our elected officials. We have just elected a president whose businesses are confidential. How can he maintain distance from all the business interests of the 500 companies that Trump and his family own in the US and all over the world? How can he maintain distance from his sons and daughters who will run the business when he becomes president? We need to be sure he does. Tax returns are one way to help do this.

People in Power who publish innuendos right before an election (or during early voting), who defy the Justice Dept & who mix personal political affiliations with actual government responsibilities must be against the law in future elections. Comey should lose his job. The actions on Comey's part have affected me and the entire United States of America for the next four years.

Governor Tom Wolf recently announced the new PIPE program that takes $24 million from an alternative energy program to further incentivize construction of natural gas pipelines in the state. This program would connect schools, hospitals, municipalities, manufacturing plants, and industrial parks to natural gas distribution lines, creating even more customers for the industry that is putting our communities and our most vulnerable populations -- children, the elderly, and the infirmed -- at risk. Building more pipelines when we should be transitioning away from fossil fuels is irresponsible. Asking the very populations that are most vulnerable to the immediate health and safety impacts to contribute to their own potential undoing is completely unacceptable.

The country has gone to hell in a hand basket. We need drastic change as soon as possible. Due to gerrymandered districts, it's impossible for typical Democratic candidates, even very good ones, to get a majority in the House. Tom Hanks could lead a group of 25 popular entertainers in moving to Republican districts, winning seats there, and regaining control. This would bring the Republican-led destruction of the county and the planet to a screeching halt. Hopefully Bruce Springsteen, Matt Damon, and Leonardo DiCaprio will join him right away, with many others soon following. The American people love celebrities. Republican districts in the flyover states could be easily won by the right celebrity, and Tom's credibility with the heartland makes him the perfect artist to lead this effort.
