Save Montreal's Pitbulls.Save the pitbulls. Punish the breeder not the breed. This decision solves nothing. My family dog was a rescued pitbull. Pitbulls, like any other animal need a loving home. We need to change the stereotyping of these beautiful animals. Euthanization is NOT the solution. Education is the answer.127 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Bernadette McDaniel

Respecting the right to life, due process and propertyI am a disabled corrections officer asking all officers to enforce the law by protecting and preserving the right to life, due process and property. I am witnessing police officers use of shoot to kill, violating citizens rights to life, denying access to due process and property and am called to take this action. These avoidable deaths seem levied disproportionately on Black America, and in my experiences within and outside of the structures of public safety, are unacceptable so I am obligated as an American and former officer subjected to permanent injury in the line of duty who supports only non lethal uses of force to be practiced uniformly in the compliance of the law. I demand all officers hold themselves and their partners to the highest standard of law enforcement as a matter of justice and moral conduct that be consistently followed as a matter of national professional policing protocol that will save lives of citizens, officers and rebuild the public trust.68 of 100 SignaturesCreated by joanne cipolla-dennis

Initiate Immediate IRS Audit of Donald J. Trump FoundationAny candidate for the President of the United States must be closely scrutinized and ultimately held accountable, especially when evidence for blatantly criminal behavior exists. The IRS must begin investigating the Donald J. Trump Foundation immediately - before the November 8th election - and refer the matter to the DOJ as soon as possible.708 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Jennifer Knott

Rescind Trump NominationWhile I respect that the National Fraternity of Police Officers, the largest union of peace officers in the United States, believes an endorsement of Trump's Presidency is a move to protect the interests and safety of our nation's peace officers, openly endorsing a candidate that espouses divisive language is a poor choice for maintaining good relationships between the troubled departments and their communities of color. Instead, such a decision will cause even greater proof of division between the African-American and Latino communities and the men and women who are to protect and serve those communities. The purposeful lack of neutrality on the part of NFOP in this heated political climate reflects poorly upon our peace keepers; to remedy this, I ask the NFOP to rescind their nomination of Donald Trump as a show of good faith to the people they protect and serve. To do so would truly be making America great again.70 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Kristin Keenan

Justice for Alfred Olango! On Tuesday, Alfred Olango, an unarmed Black man who was mentally ill was shot and killed by El Cajon police officers after his sister called the police asking for help for her brother. In video footage captured after Olango was killed, his sister can be heard wailing as she looked at the body of her murdered brother, crying, "Oh my God. You killed my brother. I just called for help and ... you killed him." She says she'd phoned the police three times for help stating that her brother was "not acting like himself." Witnesses report hearing as many as five gun shots. The murder of Olango by El Cajon police, comes on the heels of fatal shootings of Black men in Tulsa, OK and Charlotte, NC. Alfred Olango is the 217 Black person to be killed by U.S. police thus far this year. San Diego District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis has indicated she will investigate. The community in San Diego is already demanding action and justice. Let's make the world knows that concerned Americans across the nation are also watching to see that justice is done.738 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Corinne Ball

Chickens in LitchfieldI have seen a lot of people ask the question "Can we have chickens in town?". Sadly, the answer is no. I am starting this petition to see how many people really want to have chickens inside city limits. If we get enough signatures, I will petition city council to change the ordinance and try to get them to allow at least 3 chickens per household in town!162 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Cody Lemke

Get our crossing guard Danny Back!My daughter attends Valencia Elementary, which recently had their crossing guard QUIT. Daniel Sanchez was loved by teachers, parents and students. He went above and beyond every day to keep hundreds of children safe. Danny was harassed and reprimanded so many times, by his Supervisor Sheri Patton- for just doing his job and was being told that he was doing "too much," to keep our children safe. Danny was forced to adapt to street construction and deal with hundreds of cars twice daily at an intersection where drivers are careless and do not always abide by traffic laws. Valencia is a school with 80% ridership. Valencia has 80% of students come and go by car and on foot. Most of those students crossed to walk home or meet parents in waiting cars, at Danny's crosswalk and all cars exit out through his crosswalk. Danny was amazing and did what needed to be done to keep our children and even our parents safe. Danny kept traffic flowing. All this to be reprimanded constantly and for what? For doing TO MUCH?! Danny had finally had enough and quit. We want him back! After looking into this situation, we found that Danny's Area Supervisor Sheri Patton has been bashing employees and posting private conversations between them on her Facebook Page. It dates back as Far as January of 2016. Sheri even went so far as to bash parents from Valencia that questioned her about Danny's departure. She posts every time she loses an employee and it was many, many times. It seems as though she has a high turnover rate. I wonder why?? We want Danny back and we want a Danny at every location we have a City Guard at. We want crossing guards that know its okay to do their job and to actually protect the children. Danny should have been praised and given a raise! "WE WANT DANNY BACK! PRAISE AND A RAISE!257 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Melinda Aguirre

AcceleDent Must Stop Attacking OrthodontistsThe idea that individual orthodontists are being attacked by well funded corporations in an attempt to gain market share for their product is repulsive. Individual orthodontists are easy targets but when the specialty acts as a group we can defend every individual from this kind of abuse. It's time to let AcceleDent know that we will not tolerate this kind of behavior.200 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Ben Burris

Tell GOP leaders: A nuclear-armed Trump is a threat to national securityDuring the first debate, Donald Trump reminded us yet again why he is unfit to be President and can never be allowed to command our nuclear arsenal. He was quick to lose his temper. He was easily baited by the moderator and by his opponent. And he was all over the place about nuclear weapons. In one breath he said nuclear weapons are the greatest threat we face as a nation. In the next he said he wouldn't take a surprise nuclear attack off the table--which could kill hundreds of millions of people. This is the latest in a long, scary history of nuclear posturing from Donald Trump. He thinks more countries should have them (like Saudi Arabia, South Korea, and Japan). He won’t rule out dropping them on Europe. And just last month, Joe Scarborough of MSNBC reported that Trump asked 3 times in a 1-hour foreign policy briefing, "If we've got nukes, why can't we use them?" The first debate showed that a nuclear-armed Trump is a threat to national security. Our nuclear program has no checks or balances. If elected, there's nothing between President Trump's itchy trigger finger and civilization-ending weaponry. There is no requirement even for him to explain his decision to use them. It is a dereliction of public service for Republican leaders to put a demagogue in command of our nuclear arsenal. The right thing to do is to disavow Trump, and do it now.400 of 500 SignaturesCreated by #NoRedButton Campaign
