The Dakota Access pipeline is set to be constructed near the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation in North Dakota. The proposed Dakota Access Pipeline would transport 570,000 barrels of crude oil per day across four states. The potential of oil leaks would contaminate the only source of water for the reservation. We, over 1200 residents of Heritage Village Manufactured Home Park in Beaverton, Oregon, are being unconscionably forced from our homes so that Property Managers can generate more profit by leveling our structures and replacing them with new homes. Many of us are disabled, elderly on fixed incomes or otherwise unable to upgrade our properties within the 30 day time period demanded by unscrupulous management. We agree that beautification efforts are a plus and do support community improvements, however, terminations for house colors, picket fencing, faded posts, firewood placement, etc is not only wrong but is harassing and exposes the worst aspects of business greed.
