• Demand Immediate arrest of Former Illinois lawmaker William Joseph Walsh in violation of 18 U.S. ...
William Joseph Walsh's call for the murder of the President of the United States is a pure racial hate crime and violates 18 U.S. Code § 871. Joe Welsh's rhetoric will lead to an all out race war, which threatens and undermines the national security of the United States and will lead to the senseless deaths of millions of Americans of all races, religions, origin, genders, sexual orientation, sexual preference and what have you. This should not be happening in the 21st Century Untied States of America.

  • Strengthen gun violence prevention in DNC Platform
The Democratic National Committee has taken a very meaningful step by including a plank on gun violence prevention in the 2016 Democratic Party Platform. However, given misleading GOP efforts that PRETEND they want stronger gun laws, it is important for the Platform to be precise in its goals. Current language calls for expanding background checks, but is not explicit that they should be for ALL gun purchases. We must distinguish between universal background checks and the weak legislation introduced by Republicans in the House and Senate. The goal of keeping "weapons of war" off our streets mentions assault weapons, but omits large capacity magazines (LCM). Experts agree that banning LCMs would do more to reduce gun deaths than an assault weapons ban alone. The platform calls for keeping guns out of the hands of "violent" criminals. Our standard should be higher; no criminal should have access to firearms. Finally, the plank sets the goal of keeping guns from people with "severe mental health issues." The Platform should take care not to stigmatize those who suffer from severe mental health issues, the vast majority of whom are not violent and in fact are more likely to be victims than perpetrators of violent acts. The language should be modified to "keeping guns from those with severe mental health issues who may be a danger to themselves or others."

  • Boycott Cruise Lines that visit the unevolved Faroe Islands.
CRUISE SHIPS TO THE BLOODY FJORDS If you love whales and dolphins please do not book a cruise on any of these Ocean liners until they stop bringing tourists to the brutal ferocious isles in the North Atlantic. The Faroe Islands where the beaches run red with blood, a gruesome slaughter that one Faroese woman described as a beautiful thing to watch. This barbaric practice is called the Grindadrap and it is done in the name of tradition for sport, for amusement and as the Faroese describe it - their national pride, a part of their archaic culture. To the rest of the world it is an obscene sadistic perversion and an indictment on all of humanity. Azamara Cruises Princess Cruises Zuiderdam and Prinsendam Oceania Cruises Nautica Costa Cruises Pacifica Cruise and Maritime Voyages – Marco Polo Silversea Cruises – Silverwind Olsen Cruise lines – Boudicca NCL - Norwegian Star Viking’s Viking Star Windstar and Sage Cruises Carnival Cruise lines, And others These companies need to hear from us and if we love dolphins we need to never travel on these ships for helping to enable the barbarism of the Grind. - Paul Watson SSCS Cruise Ship News has taken up the call to help expose this atrocity.

  • Arrest Joe Walsh for threatening the President of the United States and #BlackLivesMatter protestors
We must put an end to blatant racism. Our Black men are being shot and killed regularly and nothing is happening. Our President is being threatened along with the lives of peaceful protestors and nothing is happening.

  • We demand enforcement of the Death in Custody Reporting Act
The deaths of countless men and women of color by police have gone undocumented and unchecked for too long. A law signed by the House, Senate, and President but not enforced by the Attorney General is useless. I am hoping there will be changes in the way our states hold police accountable by compliance with the Death in Custody Reporting Act of 2013. By making local police agencies report deaths on their watch, we can close the gap of numerous deaths by having the Attorney General monitor the behavior of these agencies with investigations for cases that are frequent and suspicious. The collection of data provided will allow the Attorney General to detect misconduct within local agencies. The law also allows the federal government to withhold federal funding for all agencies not in compliance. Although currently this is the law, it has not been enforced. So there has been no requirement for police agencies to send information regarding the death of any person in their care to the attorney general for further review. Tell the Attorney General to act now and make police agencies accountable by enforcing The Death in Custody Reporting Act of 2013.

  • Save The Campbell Apartment - a New York City Cultural Institution
The people of New York City and those who love New York City are disturbed by the unfair actions and hostile takeover of the current and original incarnation of The Campbell Apartment. Mark Grossich and his company, Hospitality Holdings, Inc., spent 2 years and millions of dollars renovating an unused historical space, a drop-ceilinged shell, that was nothing but a room full of sawdust, a water-damaged space that had been used as a temporary jail and a storage space. Hundreds of thousands of people, if not millions, from New York and all over the world have developed a very strong emotional attachment to Mark Grossich's version and creation of The Campbell Apartment -- and we do not want nor understand this swift and aggressive change of a cultural landmark that is part of the fabric of our lives --- by the actions and decisions of 2 or 3 people at the MTA. People have been married at The Campbell Apartment, gotten engaged, have had almost two decades of experiences under the thoughtful operation of Mark Grossich and Hospitality Holdings, Inc. --- and we don't want Hospitality Holdings to hand over the lease. This is much more significant than deciding if Chipotle can have some square footage at the mall. It's much bigger than that. This is not about "hanging on to the past" -- this is a matter of fairness. It's a sad day in New York when someone can create something great, from their own vision, idea, and hard work --- something that enriched the city and people's lives --- to faithfully create a wonderful contribution to the community ... only to have it unfairly ripped from beneath his or her feet. This is not fair. Mark Grossich's space created memories, experiences and more, that will stay with people and the city forever --- this is no way to treat such a contributor. As well, it is not unreasonable to consider that through Mark Grossich's renovation of a dilapidated unused space, and the creation of a business that has been thriving for 17 years -- that the MTA has been able to charge higher rents to other commercial tenants since the day The Campbell Apartment opened. Mark Grossich created a draw, a destination, a cultural landmark -- and a space that elevated Grand Central Terminal. We don't want the eviction of Hospitality Holdings, Inc. from The Campbell Apartment and we are emphatically asking the MTA to stop it. As well, we are prepared to boycott The Gerber Group and all of their properties if the eviction proceeds. • Members of White supremacist groups should not be hired or allowed to continue their civil servic...
As a U.S citizen it is unacceptable and frightening to be terrorized and killed by the very public servants, we elect, hire and pay for with our tax dollars. Police officers are meant to protect and serve the community, however this is not the case. No individual should be hired or kept employed by the federal and local governments if they are members or have close associations with hate groups such as the Klu Klux Klan, Aryan Nation, Skinheads, or any other white supremacy groups. These individuals should not be allowed to operate in a civil servant capacity if they hate, intend to do harm to, or will intentionally discriminate against any group of people.

  • Police Tried as Civilians
It is sad to see people of color put to rest time and time again in the hands of an officer who blatantly displays a lack of following proper procedure. An officer who kills another human being without reason is simply another murderer, and should be tried as one. One should not be allowed paid administrative leave; that is a slap in the face to everyone who has been forced to mourn over an undeserving death. I like to believe that racism no longer exists, just that people do. But when Isee various cases between people of color vs whites against officers, I cannot help but to compare the two. Stop biased laws. Stop allowing settlements. Stop administrative leave. Put these officers behind bars, take their freedom as you would do a black civilian.

  • Tell Versailles Cuban Restaurant in Miami to Slam the Door on Donald Trump
Versailles is one of the most well-respected Latino restaurants in Miami, and they are allowing Donald Trump to use their space to spread his divisive anti-Latino agenda. Donald Trump's hate filled rhetoric is having a real impact on Latinos. Since Donald Trump announced his campaign, there has been a spike of racist acts directed at members of the Latino community, and many of these incidents can be tied directly to Donald Trump and his supporters. Versailles should not be opening their doors to promote Donald Trump and his hateful agenda. Donald Trump and his rhetoric are not welcome in Miami.

  • I work at the U.S. Senate, but I Slept on the Streets
My name is Charles Gladden, and I’ve worked at the U.S. Senate for almost a decade, serving food to some of the most powerful people in the country – U.S. Senators, lobbyists and their staff. You would think that working at the Senate would be a good job, but the truth is I’m struggling. I earn so little that I’ve been homeless. It’s a big contrast from the people who I serve every day. But with your help, we can change that. As early as last year, I would finish my shift at the U.S. Senate cafeteria and would head to the McPherson Square metro stop, only a few blocks from the White House. It was my bedroom for the night. I spend countless nights sleeping on the streets, because my wages were so low, I could not keep a roof over my head. Because workers like me have been organizing under the banner of Good Jobs Nation, President Obama has taken action raising our wages to $10.10 an hour, preventing people who break the law from receiving tax payer dollars through contracting, and providing paid sick days so we can take care of ourselves and our families. Because of help from folks like you, I’m no longer homeless. But the truth is we need more to survive. I serve Senators and other powerful individuals, but still rely on public assistance to keep a roof over my head. Currently, the Democratic Platform Committee includes support for a Model Employer Executive Order—a critical initiative to protect low-wage workers. With the stroke of a pen, the next president could put 8 million low-wage federal contract workers like me on the path to the middle class. Join me, the Democratic Platform Committee, Members of Congress, U.S Senators, faith leaders, and 8 million other contract workers by calling on the next president to sign the Model Employer Executive Order! It’s time for the next President to put government on the side of workers once again.
