The Pinelands Reserve is under threat from two proposed gas pipelines that could devastate this pristine forest area and drinking water resource. Pipelines used to transport oil and gas pose health and safety risks to New Jersey communities, including leaks and explosions. Building out and laying the pipeline projects would also devastate the treasured Pinelands. It is time for our elected officials to take action to protect the future of the Pinelands. Senator Sweeney has the influence to stop these projects in their tracks.

Three days ago, on June 25th 2016, Shelby County Sheriff's office arrested Samuel Woods III on Rape 2 charges. This is the rapist that impregnated a 14 year old, that resulted in the birth of Baby Braelon. Research and public information is exposing a trend: rapists that target under aged girls to create children that can the be taken from the under aged mothers. This information is not private and should be exposed. The audacity to start a law suit using the child as plaintiff against News Media Outlets that are reporting on this blatant case of mismanagement and incompentence on the part of Shelby Counties DHR is against our First Amendment right to freedom of speech! DHS broke their own law and disregarded their own report that was signed by their own social workers, and they will be held accountable for their negligence. The system that lets rapists go free and continue to rape other minors seems to have a systematic pattern, and this pattern should be exposed and stopped. Instead of admitting guilt on the part of the incompetence displayed by the DHR, they want to try to censor journalist and media attention brought to them. We will be exposing this situation world wide now as Child Protective Services all over the world are under investigation and many are resigning in lieu of the exposure of the crimes being committed against the innocent children and those children that are caught up and become victims of rapist that are set free to visit the the children they created through the crime they committed. Something very wrong is going on in Shelby County Alabama DHR, and we will make an example of what happens when you go against the Constitution of the United States and try to shut out the voice of the people, and try to censor the media who's responsibility is to tell us the truth as has been done here with this kidnapping and leniency given to repeat rapists. We will not stand for this anymore, the abuse of children, the rights given to criminals, and we will never agree to censorship! My Family property that has been in my family for 50 years is being stolen from me by Richland County Treasurer. This is no isolated incident and this Realestate scam so brazenly exploits despersate property owners.

We Believe: Our City Administration and Police Department are currently housed in 2 separate structures both of which are old, outdated, energy inefficient and frequently in need of repairs and maintenance. Neither of the buildings meet current standards for safety, technology and flow nor can they be converted to current standards. Ad Valorem taxes will not be raised to construct a new building and financing is available with interest rates at historic lows making now an ideal time to invest in the future of Laurinburg. The employees of the City and the Police Department should have a safe, efficient, well designed workplace that is suited for the 21st century workforce. Our citizens deserve the same safety, efficiency and design in the place where they interact with their city government on a daily basis. We trust the intelligence and wisdom of our elected City Council members to make sound, informed decisions that are in the best interest of all citizens.

The U.S. Forest Service has announced they will "cut and leave" AND "burn" 3,600 acres of mature forest in the Mark Twain National Forest, in the Roaring River area. This is a management practice that is being used all over the country. They plan to create a stark "glade," destroying the existing habitat. They will be burning every 3 to 5 years in perpetuity. This will displace or kill all existing animals and plants. Carbon sequestration must be included in the new plan. Our forests are the greatest terrestrial carbon sink on the planet. The trees are already doing the job that scientists are struggling to accomplish. To our Representatives, we ask that you seriously consider “The 2015 Climate Initiative” by Tom Vilsack, Secretary of Agriculture and adopt its suggestions into our US Forest plan. The time is NOW to reevaluate the way our National Forests are being managed. (Correction, the old plan isn't 16 years old, it is from 2005 and it is very much outdated.)

Last week, a Supreme Court ruling put approximately five million undocumented parents back at risk of deportation and continued the exclusion of those who wouldn’t have qualified under President Obama's executive action on immigration that Republicans have been trying to defeat for a while. Meanwhile, abusive immigration enforcement agents operate unchecked, raiding refugee families, brutalizing people near the border, and putting our loved ones into detention centers and deportation proceedings. The Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents (DAPA) executive action temporarily relieved parents of DREAMers and lawful permanent residents from deportation and would have provided them with work authorization. But the DACA and DAPA programs aren't the president's only option to protect migrant communities. As head of the executive branch, President Obama directs how and when enforcement resources are deployed. Under his administration, immigration enforcement agencies have expanded enormously but the undocumented people who would've received deferred action or who could someday benefit from legalization shouldn't be subjected to their abuse. While Republicans have been able to block reform and delay DAPA, they can't control how the president uses his executive authority for the implementation of immigration enforcement. He can make sure that families and communities are kept together by declaring a moratorium on deportations immediately.

This petition is about the future of responsive leadership in this country, of not continuing with a status quo which has not been working for most Americans.

This seems like a common-stance middle ground in which all parties can compromise as well as quickly and effectively take action. The United States Department of Justice said, "In general, assault weapons are semiautomatic firearms with a large magazine of ammunition that were designed and configured for rapid fire and combat use." How are the streets of Port St. Lucie, Orlando or any other Florida street a combat zone? My home is not a combat zone nor do I want it turned into one. The second amendment fully reads, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." Where is the "well regulated militia" aspect? As citizens, we also have a right to liberty and life. Therefore, we need as the people to stand up and begin to regulate this market.
