There is a lot of very important research conducted on fetal tissue that people donate for any number of reasons and in many different circumstances. I think it's dangerous for medical science for people to be cutting off such a big avenue for research and discovery.

We would like to see Representative John Lewis, as a long-standing progressive champion of democracy in Congress, use his unpledged delegate or "superdelegate" vote to reflect the rights he fought for and sacrificed to gain, has defended and protected—along with continuing to represent the values of the Democratic party—by not supporting a candidate before all of his constituents have had their say at the voting booth. We urge him to lead other Georgia superdelegates in committing to honor the vote of the people.

The forefathers of the USA have President's Day and some of them even have their own personal holidays too, besides having a President's Day. It is now time and long overdue for OUR Forefathers of Turtle Island to also be HONORED. We want a recognized day of remembrance of our Chiefs for their leadership, bravery and all that they gave for their people's future.

Our current state of democracy is under siege as a result of big money in politics, belittling our voices to an immense degree. As a resident of California and concerned citizen of the United States for that matter, I see an opportunity to voice our opinion in opposition to these corporate powers. Let us begin by telling the fossil fuel industry that, we as a people, want our voices to be heard. Here is the pledge: "I pledge allegiance to a democracy of, by, and for the people. As a native Oregonian, I am affected by the State of our democracy. Massive corporations have hijacked our electorate and have built an insidious machine of influence and corruption. Oregon Senate candidates have the ability to voice support for campaign finance reforms, to reject corporate influence, and to take back control of our democracy.

We do not want this facility in our neighborhood or any other additional facilities of this kind. We want you to know that we will stand in opposition, with the area businesses, faith-based and community organizations. Our neighborhood is already ridden with crime, and plagued with despair and hopelessness. I live in the Hudson Valley area of New York, which is currently being threatened by the AIM pipeline. Due to the construction of this pipeline, trees have been cut down, and dangerous levels of methane are being released into the environment. This is my home, and I will do everything in my power to end this environmental damage. Areas such as Beijing China suffer every day from toxic air quality conditions; but it's not too late for the Hudson Valley, and the NY region. I will not stand by passively, and watch a company damage the quality of life in the place I stand by to protect. This can be easily prevented, by stopping the construction of Spectra Energy's AIM pipeline.

As a resident of Florida, I am personally affected by the state of our democracy. The issue of money in politics and the corporate strangle on our democracy is an incredible crisis, but also an incredible opportunity. When impacted communities unite for change, real progress is possible.

I believe our government should be independent of corporate interest. In order to have our Representatives truly represent the Maryland people, they cannot be taking money from fossil fuel companies.
