Steven C. Godbolt was convicted to 156 years to life for a murder case he never committed, Mr.Godbolt was Charge for a premeditated and three counts of unpremeditated murders. I went through the transcripts an even heard on the streets that he didn't murder anyone, and it shows in the transcript that he didn't have a gun but because of the two guys that did the murder is still out at large the judge wanted to convict Someone with the case and the only one that they was able to convict as one of the shooters was Godbolt.

  • Save the elephants. Ban the sale of ivory in Alaska!
Save the elephants. Stop the selling of Ivory in Alaska. The elephant poaching crisis reached its peak last year with about 30,000 of these amazing species slaughtered for their tusks. Seizure data collected for 2014 so far shows that this year could be even worse. With an estimated 96 elephants dying for their tusks every day, taking all ivory off the market may be our last shot at stopping the killings. Poachers killed 35,000 elephants in 2012 alone, representing the highest rate of poaching since the 1989 ban. The importation, selling and buying of this ivory is not allowed internationally. But it is legal to buy, sell, or ship within the boundaries of the U.S. and there are no permits or registration requirements in most states! A complete ban on the commercial sale of ivory is the best way to help ensure that U.S. markets do not contribute to the further decline of African elephants in the wild. National Audubon Society and WWF on the trade of elephant ivory products in Alaska yield the fact that approximately one-third of the ivory for sale in gift shops was white ivory, which is either from elephant or new walrus sources, and that 60-80% of the white ivory is elephant ivory. The illegal ivory is hidden a lot of times in plain sight, with dealers claiming it’s legal ivory. The fact that pre-ban and antique ivory is legally sold, generally without certification, presents a serious problem for the endangerment of African elephants. We must enforce a complete ban on the commercial sale of African elephant ivory in Alaska.

  • Colorado voters: Make a pledge to vote against Koch-funded candidates
The Koch brothers know that if they can win these elections for Cory Gardner and candidates like him, they will be able to push their conservative agenda through the Senate. Gardner agrees. At a top-secret party hosted by the Koch brothers, he said, "The road to the glory travels directly through Colorado. If we win Colorado, we win 51, 52, 53 seats, and that's how we change the course of this country." We have to ensure that the candidates who serve Colorado are representing the interest of the people, not the powerful, by turning out to the polls and pledging to vote against Koch-funded candidates.

  • Mitch McConnell: Cut ties with with the Koch brothers
Early this morning, recordings from a secret Koch brothers-sponsored conference leaked. On the tapes, Mitch McConnell said, "I don't know where we'd be without you," when talking about the Koch brothers. Mitch even said he wouldn’t waste any time on ‘gosh darn’ minimum wage increases. Mitch McConnell continues pushing an agenda that works the wealthy, while cutting programs for working Americans. We're calling on Mitch McConnell to refund campaign contributions from donors at the American Courage: Our Commitment to a Free Society conference and to disclose his interaction with the Koch brothers over the past 5 years.

  • Stop Burger King Corporate Inversion
The United States is in a major financial crisis with trillions of dollars of debt because multi-billion dollar Fortune 500 companies find loopholes offshore & in other nations to stash their money or register their businesses to avoid contributing tax revenue they owe the United States government. The people of the US made Burger King profitable by choosing to purchase their products. Isnt time Burger King did the right thing for the American people by paying their fair share of taxes to ease the burden of their customers/US Taxpayers?

  • Parking Problems on Broadway
Residents on Broadway will loose their ability to park anywhere near their homes as a result of the proposed elimination of available spaces as well as the continued misuse of potential spaces by Dobbs Ferry Automotive used car sales. We propose resident stickers as a possible option or a reexamination of proposed space elimination and increased policing of misuse.

  • County Polluting Stemple Creek & Bodega bay
In the interest of Sonoma County and the area surrounding the Sonoma County Central Landfill, stop further pollution of Stemple Creek. The goals are to safeguard the aquifer that is a source of water for the community; assist our neighbors with air, noise, odor, and water pollution caused by the Central Landfill Composting operation; and protect the rights of the ranchers, farmers, public, and wildlife that all use Stemple, Washoe, and Gossage Creeks and their estuaries. Sonoma County Waste Management Agency made the decision to continue to dump millions of gallons of waste into Stemple Creek over the next few years knowing it is a violation of federal and state law. and they have been cited and threatened with fines to no avail. Its time this serious violation of State and Federal standards is stopped.

  • Don’t rush into endless war in Iraq & Syria
We may be on the verge of another costly, open-ended war in the Middle East. President Obama has authorized surveillance flights over Syria. The New York Times called the surveillance flights “a significant step toward direct American military action in Syria.”[1] Obama Administration officials have suggested that U.S. airstrikes against “Islamic State” fighters in Iraq could expand to attacks against “Islamic State” fighters in Syria. [2] But we have a way to try to slow expansion of the US military campaign—and to keep us from getting entangled in another endless war. In July, the House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed H. Con. Res. 105, stating that Congressional authorization must precede any “sustained combat mission” in Iraq. By insisting now that the President come to them before expanding the use of force - as required by the Constitution and the War Powers Resolution - Congress can slow the rush to war, creating space for diplomatic and political efforts to address the underlying causes of the war. If Congress restricts any authorization of force with a time limit, we will be less likely to find ourselves in another endless war. [4] Tell President Obama and Congress that there must be no blank check to expand airstrikes in Iraq or expand airstrikes into Syria. Sign our petition to help prevent another rush to endless war.
