Since Citizens United, these shadowy groups have used their unlimited, undisclosed corporate donations to launch negative attacks and drown out the voices of average voters across the country. In 2012, Elizabeth Warren and Scott Brown led the way in voluntarily agreeing to ban these groups in their Senate campaign. Ed Markey and Steven Lynch followed suit in their race. No matter which candidate you’re supporting, if you’re undecided or you may live outside Massachusetts, by joining our efforts you’re helping to send a strong message that the Citizens United decision was wrong. These secretive, special interest groups drown out the voice of average voters, breed cynicism, and threaten our democracy. We believe this campaign should be about grassroots activism and candidates’ ideas for the future, not attacks ads funded by undisclosed corporate interests.

Over 267,000 LGBTQ undocumented immigrants live each day afraid of being deported -- many to countries that criminalize homosexuality. For these individuals, deportation is almost certainly a death sentence. And many thousands more LGBTQ U.S. citizens have also seen their families torn apart as their parents and siblings have been deported. President Obama has the power to end this suffering, yet he refuses to use his administrative power to stop deportations and give undocumented immigrants a way to remain legally in the country they know and love. We need President Obama to immediately provide administrative relief for millions of undocumented immigrants across this country.

In February, Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice punched his then-fiancee, knocking her out cold. Video caught him dragging her unconscious body out of an elevator at a casino hotel. Yesterday the National Football League (NFL) announced an appallingly short suspension for violating its personal conduct policy: Ray Rice will miss just two games--a shorter suspension that the NFL issues for drug use or unauthorized tattoos. Everyone from Ravens fans to sports reporters are outraged. NFL Commissioner Goodell has the sole authority to change the league's policy and finally send the message that the NFL does not condone domestic violence.

Recently, I met a young woman through film circles. We had an intense, loving, passionate relationship. We also worked together on 3 independent films, all of which I was responsible for casting her in. Then one day, with no reasoning or sense of couth or tact, she abruptly ends the relationship on all levels. She went from "I love you so much, I wish I could do more for you, I feel closer to you than ever before" to "Get out of my life forever" all in a matter of less than 36 hours time. I discovered later that she got all she can out of me, wrung me out, and now I needed to be thrown onto the scrap heap with the other men she has done this to. She is ill-intended, wicked, a bad seed and a destroyer of innocent men. She gets personal pleasure from doing these things and it gives her a sense of power. When I pleaded for a reason, she went to the courts and filed an order of protection. She put down on official court documents that I beat, raped, strangled, menaced, stalked, harassed, and tried to murder her (and her cat) several times. She accused me of everything you could possibly think of. She had tried to destroy me in every way possible. She has destroyed relationships between friends of mine, mutual acquaintances, film colleagues and even family by these allegations. I came to court with a mountain of evidence speaking against her words, but the judge refused to look at a single document unless we went to trial, which we were highly advised against by the judge as a low-level scare tactic. In retrospect, not going to trial is one of the biggest regrets I have in my entire life. I am told by several attorneys that this can be turned around with proper representation. I cannot afford a high-profile attorney to assist me. The evidence I have since compiled in my favor consists of emails, texts, facebook messages, photographs, a multitude of notarized character reference letters from friends and even exes who have known me for decades, including a woman I am currently involved with. I even have time sheets from my job to speak against particular nights she accused me of "stalking" her. She, through the courts, also managed to get me put on a national domestic violence registry with a snap of a finger. I never had a chance to show my evidence or truly tell my side of the story. She was never fully sequestered regarding elaborating on her accusations. They were believed and acted upon simply by her saying the word and coming to court. Through research I have learned that hundreds of thousands of men across the country are wrongly accused of such things and have their lives ruined. This is apparently a woman's best weapon against a man, whether true or not. And it seems to work every single time. Please help me make an example of this case and turn it around. In these circumstances, justice is evidently not at all blind. In addition: I am a real person with a real issue and desperate to be listened to for less than 30 seconds. What you read below may be shocking and frightening to you. But hopefully it will make you think twice before you get too involved with a woman whom you think you can trust. And knowing these few facts may just save you from a world of pain and drama, including a completely ruined life down the road. The person who did this to me WILL eventually be outed, when the time is right. -60-70% of "rape" allegations by women each year are 100% false. -Restraining Orders are, according to many lawyers and judges, considered to be the "new fad of this decade's way of breaking up". -Orders of Protection are given away by Judges like candy...because, well...why not?? -If there is an Order of Protections, and the woman calls or contacts YOU, say by phone, then YOU can and will go to jail simply by picking up the phone and saying "Hello?" Why? Because you "communicated" with her. Her making the first communication effort is no matter to the courts. -When a man is simply accused of battery or rape, even in family court only, he automatically is put on a National Domestic Violence registry, sometimes for life. IT DOES NOT MATTER if the allegations are 100% false. A woman only need to just say "he did it" for it to be true and this is REGARDLESS of ANY and ALL solid proof a man may have to present in court. -Women in a relationship will very often at least once engage in rough or kinky sex involving spanking, wrestling, roughhousing or role-playing so that she may (if needed) use this as ammunition down the road to say a man hit her or mistreated her, even if it was an act she specifically requested or condoned. -Justice is rarely to never blind, and it is common knowledge among folks that work in the law that women have "carte-blanche" to say whatever they wish about a man to anyone they wish and never be punished for perjury, defamation, slander or contempt. -Hundreds of thousands of men per year have their lives ruined by women who do this to them. They lose jobs, families, friends, colleagues, money and their reputation. It does not matter if their record is clean and they are and have been law-abiding since birth.

It's a proven fact that injection wells are causing earthquakes in Ohio and elsewhere. The Ohio Dept. of Natural Resources is issuing permits for injection wells even though it is not known what other environmental ills can occur. Our underground water resources, which not only supply rural homeowners' wells but also urban water systems, is under threat of ruin.

Workers at Musso & Frank Grill, the old Hollywood restaurant, have long been members of UNITE HERE Local 11. As union members, they have been able to count on good working conditions and fair compensation. However, Musso & Frank management is now trying to bust the union. They've distributed anti-union fliers to the workers, and supported a petition to decertify the union. We need to let the management at Musso & Frank know that the community stands with these workers. Tell General Manager Mark Echeverria to end his anti-union campaign!

Not only can an additional Government ID Card substantiate who an individual is, but now all Retired Law Enforcement can be entered into a NYS State Central Registry that will further substantiate who an individual is.
