• JUSTICE FOR 70 YEAR OLD WOMAN
I am at the end of my rope, so to speak. Every month I struggle to make ends meet and pay these steep costs (or go back to jail). I feel that I have paid for my crime, since some violent offenders receive less punishment. 13 years at my age (67 at time of sentencing) is the same as a death sentence. I have been clean and sober for three years now and fully intend to stay that way.

  • Adios Koch Brothers - Get out of NM Politics!
I want my 1-year-old to grow up believing that Americans have a voice in their country and that citizens can have a greater impact than corporations. In 2012, the Koch brothers spent over $6.1 million to push their far right agenda in NM and failed miserably. Let's send them packing again and join the growing national movement to say "Koch no mas! Get out of our politics!"

They need our help. It is time for these powerful Indian-American CEO’s of global corporations to speak up and help build the support that is so desperately needed. I am a mom, I am Indian–American. I was the first generation of my family born in the US. I have many family members living in India and I have had the opportunity to travel extensively through the country as an adult, and I spent many of my summers in India as a child. I have made connections, I have seen the beauty, I have seen the sadness, and this is why this issue hits home. Not to mention I have two beautiful daughters. Right now I am angry and completely heartbroken. I also feel completely helpless. That is why I am doing this. Please join me and supporting and helping these women and girls who are having their precious lives taken from them in the most horrific ways. It is our responsibility to push people with powerful voices to use those voices where they are needed most and to use those voices loudly.

  • Help Arriving Children by diverting 1% of the Military Budget
Do we really want to be a people who turn our backs on children? One percent of the United States military budget would provide enough money for 60 or more hundred million dollar projects to assist children who arrive here and to assist those in the places they must now flee.

  • Fire Nazareth Police Chief Thomas Trachta
On June 27, 2014, he conducted a staged perp walk of litter suspects, even to the point of handcuffing and shackling them; and He blackballed a Nazareth resident who served his country honorably in Iraq, and who is currently employed as a Bangor police officer, from the Nazareth Police Department; and He falsely represented that this officer, a Nazareth resident, had been involuntarily committed, and attempted to get him fired in Bangor with the same false representation; and He has avoided hiring military veterans, instead hiring officers who were either fired by or left other departments knowing they were about to be fired; and He has refused to take any disciplinary action against a part-time police officer engaged in an an on-duty affair, despite complaints from numerous Nazareth residents, including Gehret; and He refused to take any disciplinary action against another part-time police officer (ERIC SCHWAB) who, after responding to a domestic disturbance on June 9, 2014, returned and drank with one of the victims; and He has created a culture of intolerance for any criticism of the police department that resulted in Officer Eric Schwab posting a Facebook comment asking fellow police officers to "light this fucker up" in response to factual criticisms made by O'Hare on his blog; and He has usurped the authority of Borough Council with criminal prosecutions and threats of criminal prosecution, including a file on each member of Council; and He has forced the ouster of long-time members of the Police Committee, and He has used Borough resources (the state police crime lab control number) to request investigation, not of crime in Nazareth, but criminal mischief directed at him in Bushkill Township; and He abused borough resources by using the borough control number to request a state police criminal background check for a part-time Nazareth police officer who was applying for full-time jobs in other municipalities, falsely indicating it was for an investigation.

  • Sue The Speaker.
The Speaker has been unwilling to bring legislation to the floor, to the detriment of The American People and our democracy. It is our contention that his [in]actions are driven solely by a desire to have President Obama fail. We would have him tried in civil court because civilian lives are being negatively impacted on a daily basis.

  • East Akron Community Takes A Stand: Akron Council We Want EACH -- Our Community House -- Back!
My name is Mrs. Georgia Bell, my family came to Akron in 1953 from the south. The East Akron Community House (EACH) was there to help out. The city of Akron now owns our building. We were poor. We went to EACH for cooking classes, sewing, anything that would occupy our time in summer and winter. When I grew up my kids went there. I want East Akron children to know EACH is there to help them succeed and grow in their lives, to have the experience my children had. Parents can come there for anything they need and suggest what their children need. I want Akron City Council to return EACH to ownership and control by the revitalized Board of Directors and residents.

  • Regulate Cannabis Like Alcohol
Cannabis prohibition is negatively effecting our communities, including contributing to Delaware's violence epidemic, while police manpower and resources are being diverted to non-violent cannabis possession arrests. Delaware can't afford this costly, unscientific based policy, ($13.2 million wasted annually just on possession arrests.) Colorado's tax revenue has significantly increased, they created many jobs, & their crime rate has decreased since regulation. It is time to bring the jobs and money back to Delaware.
