The people of this nation and individual states need to know just what some members of the 1% (the Koch Bros) are up to in trying to control public television. Public television stations should answer to viewers like me, not to billionaires like the Koch brothers - and I want to see this important documentary. Because it exposes the true nature of the Koch Brothers agenda. They paid, PBS hush money to remove the documentary.

Tell TPT to play the documentary 'Citizen Koch'! This documentary was prevented from playing nationally because of fears it may upset David Koch, a major contributor to PBS. But money shouldn't prevent the truth from airing. Signing this petition is your message to PBS that the truth can't be suppressed with money!

Americans have the right to see the documentary "Citizen Koch!" If the money donated by the Koch brothers effectively controls PBS programming, then you have failed your mandate to be an instrument of truth and education for the American people. When you lose the trust of your most loyal followers, then corporate America will have succeeded in further corrupting the information that Americans need to defend our democracy.

I would like to have the opportunity to view the show. I know that PBS planned to air it nationally but pulled it.\

The program Citizen Koch should not be pulled because he is a contributor. If that is the case that means it is owned by Koch and not the public at large who also contributes to the organization. This is an Important Documentary and should be aired If He wants to produce a Program to counter this documentary He has every right. but he has no right to demand that it be pulled from airing. Public Television is exactly what it implies, not privately owned and controlled by David Koch. Will you join me in the call to Broadcast nationally "Citizen Koch" on Independent Lens?

But the effect is arguably an example of censorship by the conservative moneyed class, against everything implied by the substantive American. I am a viewer of public television stations, and I would bet my lucky socks the Koch brothers, despite big contributions, are not. WUCF-24 Orlando, I'm shocked to learn that "Citizen Koch" was pulled from a National Public Broadcast so as to not upset a major donor, David Koch. Public TV stations should not censor an important documentary because it might upset billionaires like the Koch brothers, who are using their billions to buy anything that challenges their politics. Public TV is there for all of us, and I, and others like me, want to see this important documentary. As part of a major public university, I can't fathom that you would support such censorship. PBS should air the truth.

Public Television is widely held in high esteem primarily due to its non-partisan approach to programming. It would be very disheartening to learn that a program is being blocked simply because certain information may be viewed negatively by the subject of the documentary. Since this individual has chosen to be an extremely overt influence on public policy, it is completely appropriate that the public be aware of other aspects of this individual, and it is the duty of PBS to uphold its history of journalistic integrity, placing public service over individual favoritism.

There is no reason for me to remain a member of KOAC if it refuses to air "Citizen Koch" because as a donor he is given veto power over showing an investigative report that shows his egregious control over our government. Show this documentary or lose thousands of members like me who have looked to KOAC for honest reporting of issues that affect our lives and what is left of our democracy.
