Two Senators, Tennessee Republican Bob Corker and Virginia Democrat Mark Warner, want to abolish Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and appropriate/abolish all common shares. There are many small investors affected. Why are common shares even being traded if they will have no value under these Senators plan?

Our regulatory system for nutrition standards and food safety is split between two agencies, neither of which is responsible for our general health. The USDA is primarily devoted towards representing crop producers and food manufacturers as its mission is the marketing of US agriculture while the FDA is focused on drugs and medicine. Both are heavily compromised by the industries they serve. We need a science based authority to provide nutritional guidance and reduce the diseases of diabetes, heart disease, cancer and Alzheimer's disease, illnesses that are primarily caused by poor nutrition, and to protect our food supply. We have a competent agency already that is able to protect us from disease; the CDC.

Please call your congressman and write to your governor. NO MORE CLOSINGS OF PSYCHIATRIC FACILITIES! We need more opened to house many of the Clients that are living on the street. Gun control is less of an issue, we need facilities to house the Mentally Ill so they cannot get access to guns.

The new rules (from who?) concerning Auto and Truck Safety Inspections are no longer about safety. State residents are now obligated to bring their vehicles to like new condition whether it has anything to do with safety or not. I was failed because of the parking brake indicator light and a customer of mine had to pay $1000 to fix torn CV boots. Another customer had to pay $400 to replace a tail light lens that had a barely visible crack. We need our regulations to make sense and the new Safety Inspection rules do not.

A farmer in Oregon just got an unwelcome surprise: he found genetically engineered (GE) wheat growing in his field. The most surprising part: GE wheat was never approved for use — it's only been used in field tests. This discovery has serious implications for farmers (half of all U.S. wheat is exported, and many countries won't buy GE-contaminated wheat) and for consumers who can no longer be sure that their wheat isn't genetically engineered. Tell the USDA that GE crops can't be controlled, and that we need to end field tests of GE crops.

Limiting the number of terms congress & senate can serve to two terms, the same as the presidency. We have the most unproductive congress in the history of this country and they have proven why these angry old men should not be in charge of anything. This group of old angry birds are not concerned about the betterment of the country but a power struggle with the president. Limit their terms so that we can always have people willing to work for this country.

It was recently reported that more than 1,967 students under the age of six have been suspended from school - and that's just in the schools that have reported. The trend was extreme in a few charter schools like Achievement First Hartford Academy Elementary School, which reported 114 suspensions last school year out of a total school population of just 430 students. No child that young should be excluded from school. Such a punishment is inappropriate. We should be trying to help young children learn, not excluding them from the classroom. We need to make it clear that this practice is unacceptable and set an example for other schools. Demand that Achievement First Hartford stop suspending students so young!
