I was recently informed by the Division of Child Support Services saying that I could not get child support payments, because my kid's father gets SSI and they could not continue with the child support process based on the type of SSI benefits he’s receiving. I also can’t receive social security benefits for my kids either because there father is receiving the maximum amount of benefits, based on his lack of work history. I feel like that should not even be a law, this is preventing the father from paying child support, which is just morally WRONG!!!! The government system is really messed up on SO many levels, but this one hits home for me and yes this is affecting me personally. With the help and support of other I'm hoping I can get the results I want. Thank You.

Land developers have been eager to get their hands on a piece of property that has been largely undeveloped for years. The reason for its undeveloped state is that it is one of the very few wetlands still in existence in California today. This tiny parcel serves as one of the only save havens for an entire ecosystem of birds, animals, reptiles, and the like for miles around. Please do not let them build yet another office building space that will sit vacant like all of the others in the near vicinity. Please speak on behalf of the animals and the environment! Save our wetlands!

I am about to turn 59 and have been out of school for over 20 years; yet, during that time, my student loan debt has nearly DOUBLED, from $56,000 to over $100,000. I have made both voluntary and involuntary payments over the course of two decades. I lost my job two years ago, and have only a very low-paying, part-time job. I have no assets. There are particular jobs I can't even apply for because of my student loan debt. A bankruptcy "reform" act passed by Congress in 1998 removed any realistic possibility of getting this loan discharged or forgiven via federal bankruptcy courts. Am I to have my Social Security checks garnished as well? Student loan debts existing 14 or more years after graduation should be forgiven.

With the coverage of other certain parties being allowed we feel that the retirees should be offered the same privileges and the state retirees being that they get benefits for life. The county employees meanwhile lose their benefits at age 65. While the families and the other certain parties just added by congress and state making it legal for them to be counted as family qualify for full benefits as married partners etc. So at least count us as the same as State employees and allow us to draw insurance benefits for lifetime or at a family rate.Hard to live on widows pension.Paid into same system. Their family draws benefits for life so should the paying retirees of county who paid.

Calling for an Amendment to the Constitution to repeal campaign Financial Laws for Candidates running for office. By calling for an Amendment, it would allow a vote by the American people for ratification of this Amendment. Our entire Government is so dysfunctional that nothing will ever change until this law is put into affect. Personally, I was affected by this from the Senator of my state, Roy Blunt. He received a million plus from the NRA for his NO vote on background checks and was lied to by his staff when I questioned them about calls coming in from constituents, I was told majority of constituents agreed with his position, REALLY? The buying of votes in our government needs to stop! More importantly, the American people will have a vote.

There is a difference between the way a bank's credit is handle, and forgiven, and the way a consumer's credit is handled and forgiven. A company can screw up your credit rating by making stupid mistakes, and it may take years, to straighten these mistakes and errors out, and sometime never. Simply because, someone somewhere, did not present the proper billing to the proper insurance company. These laws should be revisited and revamped to protect the consumer, rather than punish,for some business mistake.

Freshwater wetlands are critical in purifying water, providing wildlife habitats, preventing flooding, erosion, and storm damage, and reversing the effects of global warming. ABD Wantage, Inc., has proposed building a housing development throughout an area of beautiful native forest and wetlands in Wantage, NJ. They have already been seen violating the Freshwater Wetlands Protection Act and are up for a renewal of their wetlands permit and building approval by the town of Wantage.

The main problem with the recent "IRS Scandal" is not so much that conservative groups were "targeted" (only 25% of the scruitinized groups had TEA Party or Patriot in the name) it is that the IRS has become complicit with organizations that should be 527's filing as 501(c)(4)'s.

This is a violation of basic property rights, but was made legal in New York State with Article 23, as a benefit to the oil and gas industry. It gives these industries the power of eminent domain, usually reserved for the government, so that they can maximize the amount of land for drilling. With this law in place, unwilling landowners are put at risk for serious health problems due to air pollution and water contamination on their property. They may even be compelled to defend lawsuits resulting from unwanted drilling activities of their neighbors. Moreover, the landowner’s mortgage could be in technical default of their lending provisions. Reluctance of financial institutions to lend money on these properties has caused difficulty in selling or refinancing.
