• Tell Ken Cuccinelli: Disavow E.W. Jackson
Is it appropriate for a pastor to attack the Christian faith of the president of the United States? Or accuse an entire political party of pursuing an "agenda worthy of the antichrist"? Apparently the leaders of Virginia's Republican Party think so - they just nominated pastor E.W. Jackson to be the state's next lieutenant governor. E.W. Jackson has said that "the idea that Barack Obama is a Christian is laughable" and that Obama "sees the world from a Muslim perspective." He also describes gays and lesbians as "perverted" and "degenerate" and says that "there is a direct connection" between homosexuality and pedophilia. So far, the party's gubernatorial nominee, Ken Cuccinelli, is campaigning alongside Jackson, despite Jackson's long record of hateful and extremist rhetoric. We've got to show Ken Cuccinelli that this shameful misrepresentation and exploitation of Christian faith is no way to run for public office.

  • Fact!
Im one of the student have been going to Stockton School for Adults. Which this adult education will be no longer available for me to attend to. Which I don't want to attend to community colleges because you have to pay to get your classes that you want to attend to. Also include, communtiy college will want student first then adult education students will be the last one to get in, which it is complicated. Because most of them students will get there classes and half of them have to go somewhere else. This also include, SAT and also California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) and etc. will not be free no more. I want the government to stop cutting school funds!

Schools in Tornado Alley Must have safe places underground to protect the children, the teachers and the community around them. This must be a federal law and funds must be made available so that poorer communities have the same protection. Make this law now so that no more lives are lost.

  • US Dairy wants FDA rule allowing unlabeled, artificially sweetened milk
The US Dairy industry wants the FDA to pass a rule to allow adding artificial sweeteners such as Aspartame and Sucralose to milk and 17 other dairy products, UNLABELED. Their claim is to make dairy products taste better for obese children/people and dairy products are a good part of a healthy diet. The Dairy industry also wants to be allowed to add these chemicals secretly, without any package labeling, claiming that adding diet connotations make things less appealing for young people. This is a travesty on so many levels. Adding chemicals that some people deliberately choose to avoid to target food groups in order to make them more palatable unknowingly, hiding the additive by avoiding proper labeling, the chemicals themselves have been shown to be worth avoiding in studies. Food labeling should be transparent, and whole foods should be encouraged and not shaded with phony sweetness.

  • HUMAN Healthy Vending Machines in Allen High School
We are proposing that Allen High School remove the junk food machines from campus and replace them with HUMAN Healthy Vending Machines. Having healthy vending machines on campus would provide nutritious healthy snack options vs. junk food for the staff and students. It also will help the school make more money to better fund student programs and staff support. HUMAN also donates 10% of profits to charities that fight the causes of childhood obesity – a rapidly growing national epidemic that negatively affects kids’ learning, health and (unfortunately) self-esteems.
