Our children deserve better than what the state and city are providing. Schools need to be funded adequately to provide students with the best supports.

CVS Caremark has decreed that employees must "voluntarily" disclose certain "health" information such as height, weight, blood pressure, etc. The requested information is not sufficient to gauge an individual's overall health, and thus fails in the purported goal of reducing healthcare costs. It is discriminatory to deny employment (or to fine those who choose not to comply with this "voluntary" request) based upon a presumption that an individual is predisposed to a particular condition.

The recent defeat of the gun bill demonstrates how senators from small states wield to much control over the rest of the nation.

The Florida Legislature has used illegal and unconstitutional tactics to pass this bad bill. The Legislature failed to adhere to the requirements of Florida's Constitution. If the Governor signs this bill, there will be litigation initiated to defeat this illegal and unconstitutional bill which litigation will be unnecessarily costly to Florida. The bill is unconstitutional and the process used to pass it was unconstitutional.

I count on my water to be clean and free of contaminants which might cause cancer and other adverse health effects. I am concerned that if fracking is done in any part of Illinois it will open it up to be done close to my home.

This budget amendment is a direct attack on the voting rights of students, and a threat to democracy in Ohio. We must act immediately and put pressure on Senate President Keith Faber to remove this amendment from the budget.

I am suffering symptoms of ALS. I don't want to be a berdon to cosciety and I think I should be able to get help in and have some sort of honor and so I want to donate all my posssions in support of euthanasia. I'm tired and have no family and am out of money and can't get any help from the medical or government agencies. I just want to buow out in an honorable way.

Illinoisans want fracking BANNED, we can protect our state,natural environment, lakes, waterways,air & land from 200+ toxic chemicals used in fracking. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates has said that the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq have taught us that military might is insufficient to win; that we must expand our capacity to build civil society structures (e.g., rule of law, jobs, responsible and accountable government, police and fire, basic services, etc.); and that our government is still mostly structured to deal with a post-Cold War world rather than a post-9/11 world.

I don't want California to become another Texas!

When I was 9 years old, I came home from school and turned on the TV to see my parents being arrested on the news in one of Sheriff Arpaio's raids. For the past three I've done everything I can, first to get them out of detention, and now to stop the government from taking them away from me and my sister. They made a movie about our family's case called "Two Americans" and I was even in a music video to tell our story. They're scheduled for deportation court this summer and I need your help to get their case closed and keep our family together. Too many, especially children, are being hurt and killed by poorly secured fire arms. Insurance coverage would encourage owners to ensure their weapons were kept safe, to avoid hefty fines and rate increases.
